I still haven't learned a lot about tuning boxes, and normally pay someone to do it or use free box generators. I am likely going to have to build a box with the port extending outside of the box. Is this going to affect tuning? Say i need a 18" deep port in the box. If I just move it out, 14" inside and 4" outside, will this affect tuning?

I have a 94 camaro and I am currently running an old school Memphis 500 D amp to a single P3 in a 2.3 cubic ft sealed box. Obviously space is my limit. I am looking to get my hands on one of the MD2D US Amps. I cant decide if I wanna add another P3 and run two 12" or upgrade my sub to one kick ass 12. If I do so I would like to keep the same box I have. I am after some deep bass, something that can take your breath away. Also, what is your thought on a ported or slot vent box in a camaro? I have heard both good and bad. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

alright guys well i think my stock civic door speakers finally had enough of my abuse. They are 5 1/4iches, my door panel is really shallow on my civic so im kinda limited on what i can stick in there. also when i first got my honda the speakers sounded like crap and hardly got loud. Once i put in my new h/u they sounded 10x better and got really loud, so im pron going to not use an amp for now as i dont think i need one. So i need some nice pretty shallow speakers maybe no more depth then 2 1/4 inches. What would you gets recommend that around 25-35 wrms that sound nice and get loud. Anything will be takin into account. Thanks guys

I'm thinking about going with a 5.1 setup in the truck. The front channels will be 3-way active and I'm thinking Legatia 4s for the surround channels and the center channel. Amps for the surround would be OLD US amps USA-100 and a USA-25 bridged on the center channel. There's a nice pocket in the top center of the dash for the center channel and the rears will be in pods up near the ceiling. The HU I just ordered is 5.1 equipped (Kenwood Excelon DNX-8120) and the sourround will only be used on multichannel source material with just the fronts and subs on music. Thoughts?

I know someone that doesn't know much about audio and box tuning and such but managed to build a pretty good sub system. He had 2 10's and built the box like this, his words, " I built a box, drilled a hole, and stuck the pipe in." It was a flared aero port 3 or 4 inches diameter, not sure. It was in a chevy tahoe and sounded good and got pretty loud too that lucky sob. Does anyone else know someone who got lucky?

(Not sure if I posted this in the right section sorry) Considering I'm in college, and I haven't been able to work that much through out the year Iv decided to try and make a little extra money on the side, along with helping out some fellow Canadians. I'm thinking about building a few subwoofer boxes for anyone around my area really. I highly doubt anyone will really even be living near me on here but its worth a shot.. Just bought this truck and was putting a aftermarket HU in with the scosche interface and have it all wired and everything working radio, chimes, delayed power off. But the anti theft light flashes when I start the truck and stays on while im driving. My HC 1800 came in today and I was lucky I ordered the side post attachments cause I'm using it as my atarter and system battery and found out it was too tall and was able to fit it in my battery tray on it's side. Damm that thing is heavy but it sure is the best battery I ever used. My system is louder with cleaner highs, tighter bass and a broader stereo image (not need for a cap now).also my RF T6004 was cool after a half an hour and my RF T6002 was a little warm wich is definatelty better than scalding hot with my stock battery. I was shocked with the performance of my engine (no more stumble on acceleration) now that it's not starved for power and best of all no dimm…
