i have every panel popped off ready for install. my doors are a mofo, the rubber grommet thing thats between my doors for the speaker wires is going to be really really frustrating and i was trying to figure out how much a shop would usually charge to run speaker wire into a door. i'll have the amp all hooked up and ready for speaker wire it just literally needs to be ran through the door. the door panels will be off, all the trim for the side where the wires will be popped so that will cut off some time on the installers part. roughly how much would a shop charge me for this?

Hi SSA, 1- I want to know what's a line driver specifically for? 2- Also is it worth having? 3- I've heard that the higher the voltage the better, but I don't really know what is meant by that. Please explain. 4- I have an Audiocontrol Eql concert series, does this have a line driver? My hu is a Jvc KD-R730BT. Thank you.

just lucked out and hopped on craigslist this afternoon and managed to happen upon a sweet deal for 2 SSA DCON 15s in a 7 cubes sealed box so I finally have ssa subs now all I need is a financial aid refund to get everything else and decide if im keeping one sub and selling everything else or keeping both and just redoing the box since it wont fit right in the jeep these things are so much nicer up close then in pictures lol the build quality looks awesome I just cant wait to hear them too bad it might be a few months

Im having an issue with my mids and highs cutting out when turned up to higher volumes. I dont know if its a problem with the install or a problem with the equipment it self. But I do know that it should be able to be louder than what it is without cutting out. I got Rockford t2s and a Rockford t400.4 any advice?

How do you test the voice coils of a sub with a dmm might be gettin some used ones need to test

So im plannin on building a wall in my crown vic soon. i have a DC Power 270Xp alt plannin on putting 5 batts in the back 2 18" fully loaded Fi Sp4s dual 1 and going to buy a crescendo 5500 along with knuconceptz Wire. will wire subs down to 1ohm together also have 4 crescendo 8" mid range speakers for the doors plannin on a few 6.5s as well super tweets planing to deaden all over using murder mat. Now onto the wall i will be sending max dimensions to BHE soon and get a wall design i am going to be aiming for about 7 if possible 8 cuft per sub tuned to 33hz also was lookin to go for 15 16 on the port vol. sorry if this is a little sloppy im on my phone ill post some pic…

i know i kinda talked about this before, but i wanted to update what i was doin. i have 2 psi 18s in seperate enclosures. Before i had only .50ft of port area in each box according to Torres. now i have about .98 which is double the port area than before. it apperently brought my tuning from about 31hz to 36 or so hz according to Torres. will this still be ok for daily? Was this a good idea or do you thing i will regret doing this? not quite finnished with this change..your thoughts.....

Ok... so when I started this build, it was on a budget and kinda rushed along. My hearing isn't that great anymore after years of drumming in a metal band, so I didn't want to go too far. My current setup is powered by a Kenwood amp pushing 40x4 and 300x1 at 4ohm. I really love it....but since installing these 2 Dcons, my front stage just ain't hangin. Let me say.... I can't imagine some of these setups u guys have. These 2 Dcons are bangin on only 300. Plenty for me, with my hearing loss and all. Hello fellow audio enthusiest. How have you been? Just poppin in to say I will be poppin in alot more. Got alot of builds to post up and get some ideas for 2 of my personal rides I am attempting to outfit at the same time. I doubt it will happen like that, but I will try. Soooooooooo, whats new?

Im currently running 2 18s on about 2000w rms each. I know most would put both in the same box but i built separate boxes. the boxes are bolted together and then I have it in a wall config. According to Turros box calculator I have about 6cuft each and the port is tuned to about 32hz...what can I do to get louder if anything. Also I don't think the soundstream amps are putting out 2000w rms. would a more efficient amp help too. maybe an better amp with about the same rms power as the subs (1800w rms) not to risk blowing my subs.... advice please

I currently have 2 PSI pf2 18s (1800w rms)and 1 Soundstream tx1.2000 amp on each. It sounds ok but im not sure they put out 2000rms@1 like it says... I saw 1 guy on youtube try n test one with a clamp meter and regular meter and figured about 900-1000 watts. I realize there is impendance rise n stuff. Im thinking about going with a 1 Crescendo 3500 or 5500...anyone ever ran these amps?

Where can I get a CD or DL anything containing 10Hz-60Hz tones? I am trying get more into SPL and I wanna start testing different ports. The reason I want so low is because I have a 20Hz port for fun . I tried Bass Mekanik but it doesn't go as low and the tones kind of fade in and out (it's weird) and I can't find anything on iTunes. i hooked up 2 PSI 18S and 2 Soundstream tx1.2000d amps. Gains and freq levels were set the same on each paired amp n sub. The first lil while i played it, everything worked fine. then all the sudden i notice one sub were playing lower than the other. wtf right...checked the impedance on the coils and they check out fine. So over the last few weeks ive done everything i can think of from checking connections, swapping subs around, new rca cables, even thought it might be the bass knobs, and still one of the amps is putting out less power. I can tell there is an issue because when i play a test tone, what ever sub is hooked to that amp suffers especially in the low range 20…

The anticipation is killing me. Summer days go by and I'm not bumping. How long am I looking at to receive my single zcon recone? Ordered on 6/7. I was hoping it would arrive in 2-3 weeks. Anyone have any input on how long it took for them to receive a recone?
