So I'm building a box for my BTL this next weekend. I've ordered two 3/4"x9"x18" sheets of plexiglass, and two of these 3w high powered wide angle LEDs on an aluminum base. They'll be going inside the box, and you'll be able to see the badass backside of the BTL while its playing. They're the same ones Steve Meade used in the 2x T15K Escalade build, so I know they're going to be super bright. Here is Plasma LEDs site if anyone is interested. Well, the car is in the shop getting a new transmission(6 speed ftw) and a comptech supercharger installed, and i got to thinking...it's time to make my front stage louder. I've got my setup reinstalled and been tuning it myself for the past couple months and it just isn't loud enough for me. I went over to the local hood shop and heard a setup in a maxima that had 1 10" electro voice mid in the door, b&c mid in the kick and a selenium super tweet in the a pillar and it sounded AMAZING. I'm interested in this alarm. I have some feature questions, and DEI will not answer them on the phone due to "liability issues". They'll only speak to the shop owner. Well, my preferred shop owner basically contracts out a revolving alarm installer.. so neither of them are fimiliar with this alarms capabilites. I'm shocked that DEI cannot answer simple feature questions on their own product. I'm not asking what wires to cut, I just want to know what it can do basically. Just wondering how your sa-8s perform in your extra cab midsize to fullsize trucks. Installed a single sa-8 into a x-cab 2008 F-150, .75ft^3 tuned to 33ish with i think either 10 or 13.3 sq inches of port area (im a noob at sub enclosures). The box came out perfect and right on spec. Not satisfied with the results, the tuning sounds good and it sounds good musically but it just doesnt get loud enough, gets 1/4-1/3 as loud as it does in my friends car. Tested it on 2 different amps at 4 ohms, zx400.1 and kx1200.1. so it was getting 200rms first then 400+. small difference in output. Im wondering if his truck needs a bigger or smaller box to achieve more output? How does…

So I just bought a 05 yukon with factory head unit and bose system and I ordered a kenwood kdc-x794 to replace headunit then pulled out old h/u and its got a couple plug ins for wire harness so I googled it and found out I needed the "gmos-04" adapter that cost around 100 bucks that is supposed to keep onstar ability and factory chimes, is there anyway I can bypass the gmos adapter to install the new h/u?

So my ex had a cat and my subs suffered for it that will teach me to leave them lying around (haven't even used them yet). It's a RE SX 12 from about 2005-2006. Is there anyone that can rebuild it or am i looking at a loss. Its not been used so everything is good just not the cap that was punctured. Thanks for any advice toward a fix. I want to use the set in a 1996 lincoln town car I hope at least.
