So I installed my system on wednesday and Im having a problem with my bass cutting out at higher volumes. If I turn it down it comes right back. I would say it cuts out around 2/3 volume depending on the song. i also tried with the sub gain in a range of position from 0 to half with it set on the radio at the center position. I checked the amp and the blue light stays on the entire time and no other lights come on. System consists of 2 US Amps MD3D's, 2 AQ HD3's and a Kenwood KDC-X891. Alright I will be playing my system bumping it hard and all of a sudden my bass will cut out. I do not think it is the HU because the mids and highs continue to work. The bass will come back on when I turn the volume down or if I leave it playing for a few seconds. I do have electrical upgrades: 220A alt, 1100A batt under the hood, big 3 done, and 3 Deka Intimidator 9A31's in the back. Why is my bass cutting out. FYI the HU does have a ground problem meaning that when I play a CD I have turn on noise and a thump when changing tracks, none of these noises occur when I listen to the radio or my USB sour…

so i went to the corner store with my buddy to get some bud so we would have something to help us get motivated. and we put the beer on the counter the guy said be carefull it was in the freezer for awhile and someone turned our freezer all the way up and froze everythig and so i wasnt worried cuz i though beer didnt freeze. so we head home and got my subs warm then was pouding on them before we got home to start my rebuild.( adding another 18 ) and when we got home my buddie opened a bottle and it was all frozen he asked if it was a fuckin joke. i said what happened and it was all slushie he said but i thought it couldnt freeze! or am i just stupid

My setup is 4 Q15's tuned to 34hz (lowering it to 28hz soon..hopefully) on an Incriminator Audio 40.1 @ .5ohms in a Dodge Magnum.

I'm driving along and hammering down on the system and my car is jerking to the beat (cmon,minds out of the gutter now). It's like I'm doing the so called "gas brake dip". It's pretty fucked up and I'm not enjoying it at all. Anyway, I drive a 09 yaris sedan and I recently put a 320 amp DC Power alt in. I didn't have this problem w/ the stock alt, but then again, I wasn't nearly as loud. What I'm wondering is what is going on and what could I possibly break by doing this on a regular basis? Can someone recommend a decent program that tells me what Hz bass is contained in song? Preferably freeware I've looked at a few through google searches but they either don't tell me the Hz accurately, say the wrong Hz or dont make sense eg. So I was bored tonight and I was going through my iTunes looking for songs that could be used as a show off playlist. I was looking through various artists and importing the audio files into Audacity. When I used the plot spectrum feature the absolute highest peak bass note was at -12db so far. That was a song off a bass cd I have. So that has me wondering. When I set my gains I used a 0 db test tone at 50 hz. I have control of the sub output level via the HU. Now I know songs never hit 0 db, so when I'm really wanting to bump I'll turn the level to +5 which really gets some songs hitting hard. Wasn't entirely sure on what section to stick this one in... So i've seen a few companies that make these "bass shakers" (mostly Aurasound.) I was wondering if anyone had any expereince with any bass shaker. I am by no means interested in buying one, just more or less curious about placement and effectiveness. If you ask me, they kind of sound like a stupid idea... but what do i know. They kinda look fun to play around with... but not for how much they cost.... and do they shake different for different frequencies or....? it's all confusing to me. thanks!

Sup, Everyone been out the lime light for awhile now, well funny thing happened today. First things first, been mia, cus someome took my system last year about this same time. So jumped on craigslist and there my sh** wuz right there looking at me, a box w/ 2 dc lvl4 beefed up w/ lvl5 coils, 12's that is ,box 3.24^3 per sub tuned @ 32hz, and a saz 1500d, for $350. Well my starting batt decided to poop out today. I noticed a lower charging voltage than normal, I shut my truck off and voltage dropped from 12.8 to 12 with in 5 min so my front batt is pulling my rear batt down. I went outside an hour later and it was at 10.5 so I'm guessing bad cell in my front batt, it is 5 or 6 yrs old. So I am prolly gonna get a dura last platinum. It's the agm version of the duralast gold. Any other suggestions?

Im getting an Optima yellow top on sunday for a good deal.I also hear that the batcaps are magnificient also and out of sight.My question is should I get 2 optimas or get one optima and a couple of batcap 800's.I dont know how many batcap 800's im getting because they are so small.
