can you just add an optima to your current system wired parallel. you would still just get 12v. or 13 whatever. but it said charging a deep cycle bat is a whole different thing. an it would just fry your alt. high output or not??? help please thanks again

I was looking for opinions on a how many batteries or Ah ( amp hours ) would people use to supply 20-30,000 watts? Fyi 2-300 amp mechman alts supplying the bank and 4-cresendo 5500 sub amps in use.

So I'm trying to do the big three and I'm looking for some battery distribution blocks that will fit on my battery posts for 1/0 gauge. I think i need 4 total holes. 1 for my alt to my positive, 1 for my battery ground, 1 for my power wire, and 1 for my negative. anyone know where i can get some for less that $80 all together?

i have about 1200 watts on the system and the oem alternator i think is 80 amps. i want to get an extra battery in the trunk. i can either get the kinetik hc800 or the hc1400. i do not know if my stock alternator will be able to handle the battery under the hood and the hc1400. i can buy the 1400 from a friend for about 140 so its a good deal. but im afraid that my alternator will die if i use the hc1400 instead of the hc800. does anyone know if i could go with the hc1400? o and i also have a H/O alternator with 130amps but i dont know if it actually does more than stock at idle so i dont know if the h/o alternator would be any better at powering the extra hc1400. any hel…

ok well im in a bit of a tight squeeze. My car is old and i am unsure how long it will be running for, it might go for a year it might go for 7 more i dont know. So i am looking at cutting my old alt out of the question and putting a battery bank, well sort of in the trunk of my car. Im looking into prices and i could get 2 red top batts from wally world for the price of one g31 yellow top. The red tops are about 800cca, g35 i believe, where as the g31 is 1000+cca. now my question is which is the better alternative. running 2 batts i was thinking would help keep the voltage up but i am unsure of this because i know nothing about batterys. i'm gonna be running 2 batteries but i'm not sure what isolator to get. my setup is an orion 2500D and a pg ti500.4 with a 200 amp alt. and big 3 done in 1/0 guage wire. i have just a stock battery under the hood and plan to run a small yellowtop in the back, but i don't know what isolator to use and where to get one. i found this one here: http://www.darvex.com/miva/merchant...duct_Code=SR200 is that one any good or can i get another/or better one somewhere else?

I currently have two RF P3 12s, a Hifonics 1208D amp, a 1 farad stinger cap. and 4awg wire all around. yet my electrical is VERY noticably weak, headlights dimming a TON and just overall weak flow rate. im looking at a new battery, like the http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/zencart...products_id=101 should i replace my factory battery, put it in line with what i have now, or replace it with where my cap. is? i plan on getting a new, more powerful setup this summer, so there will be even more power needed. any suggestions? if you need any more information, just ask. i konw i missed something thanks a ton!

ok so im running a interstate 625 right now cause my yellowtop crapped out on me for the second time and wont be available for another month cause i think the ones for the honda/acura had a defect with the cells...anways is there anyother batteries that i could get that would be better then that intersate that i have now??.....the space i have to work with for now is 9in length and 5in wide.....or maybe i should just see about that 130amp alternator that i was looking at instead of the 70amp one i have now...hmmmm??

i wanted to put a yellow top in my car and it wont fit only optima battery that work and fit is a red top are red tops any good? Im runnin 1250w kicker amp 2 two pos 12's.

Need to replace my starting battery on a 1999 chevy s10 blazer.Whats a good replacement to keep up with around 1600 watts. It needs to be able to match up with a second battery in back if i decide to add one. If there is not a big deal i was just going to put in a die hard gold and be done,but want any imfo/help before spending money.

Im not trying to make this another one of those Vs threads. But i do have some questions concerning extra batteries as the pertain to my application. I will be running 100.2 and 2 Sundown 1500d's. Would it be more beneficial for me to pick up 2 Deka Intimidator 9A31's or to go ahead and get a Kinetic 2400( or 2000 depending on what i can find). Any comments will be greatly appreciated. i am currently running a sae-1200dv2 and i have the big three done in my 02 grand prix gtp... i am getting 2 sa-12s and i plan to be getting the sax.100.4 also. i was woundering if the Shuriken SK-BT120 battery will be big enough to run both amps or shuld i just run the 100.4 off the yellow top under the hood?

Hey guys i found this great deal on G31 shipped for 150 each. and i was looking for a review on these batteries? like has anyone had any previews experience with these batteries? also more importantly that price seems really low to me is that the price they go for normally? and one more thing these are BLANK deka g31's. which means they don't have a label on them the seller does say they are 100% deka's though? any thoughts or recommendations? thanks for your time Kenneth

The other day I notice my voltage meter running a little low while driving but didn't follow up and a day ago I wake up for work and guess what not even the fuel pump comes on the battery was so dead and after a good hard look I find that my new terminal for my positive post isn't really clamping tightly so I wanted to ask as to what kind of gear people are using and are happy with. By the by I had this hooked up click here thanks for any advise. Btw I have top post on a red top yes I know I said red top but its what I had on hand until I get a different bat.

I just want to get this straight, the 1/0 run from my amp to battery, i would hook into the 1/0 slot in something like THIS, and then connect that to the actual battery terminal.. right? Also, why does it say its a Pos/Neg battery clamp? (Doesnt it matter which side of the battery you hook it to?) sorry for the pure newbness and Thanks to everyone that replies haha

I am going to be installing a factory batter in the trunk. I have three choices for Tray's. I'm not really sure what the difference is or which one I should get. I'm assuming more Amp hours is better. After looking at this stuff I'm actually thinking It might come with a battery? may not be size related. Im looking to run a extra battery (XS Power D3100) to the back of my truck. Then run a Autotek 4000.1 from it. Should i run 2 1/0 cables from the starter battery to D3100 battery or will 1 be enough to fully support everything.

hi all went up to a local truck shop the other day and found a demo for a truck liner which consisted of a few pamphlets and a coke can covered in bed liner, well a friend of mine and i started playing with this can and soon enough we were breaking a sweat trying to crush it. then later that night i was watching my truck as the fi q 18 i had in the bed played and i saw how much everything was flexing so i was wondering if i coated the inside of my truck with the bed liner if it would save me from running into a problem like iamanmp3pimp (sorry if i butchered the Sn )had with his roof flexing till it cracked. thanks

Like 10 years awhile, it's good to be back here and poking around at everything thats going down. Putting a new system together in my truck and have a couple questions. I have the option to use 6x9 components in my front doors, are they worth it these days or should I just stick with 6.5's? Looks like RE Audio and Kicker make a few different 6x9 components, I would most likely go with the RE's if I went that route. The IA componets look enticing for the price as well. Does anyone have much experience with Double Cab Tacoma's and what can be stuffed behind the seat? I'd loved to be able to fit a Single ported 12" with space for the Amp / Crossovers. Well I've been away from car audio atleast 2 to 3 years. Not sure what is new if anything. I've got a system right now. A single 10 inch re sx mated to a usamps md1d set to 1ohm so about 1000 watts. I'm actually looking to get rid of it and go more towards sq but know nothing towards that. What's a sq sub? Does it matter on amps? Box wise I know sealed box is best. I've seen these soundqubed and skar are they any good? Don't really have an idea on budget but as always cheaper is better and I'm looking to sell my system probably.
