http://www.bitpusher.in/ sealed enclosure page input dimensions, driver displacement, double baffle option, end up with net volume. Pretty basic. port area page input driver's partial t/s specs, and calculate port area based on vent mach. ported enclosure page input dimensions, driver displacement, double baffle option, port area / number or aeroports, end up with net volume and proper port length (accounts for port displacement). I started this in the morning, and just finished. From all the testing I've done I haven't run into any issues, but feel free to try it yourself, and post back. Hope this alleviates some headache in designing your boxes.

  2. I'm currently in the process of reconing a 2004 RE XXX v3 15" woofer and haven't made the enclosure yet. I'm planning on building a 3.43 cu. ft sealed enclosure to house this monster, as my goal is more on the ""SQL"" side. The sub's displacement is .21 I've come to a design and have my cut sheets marked and ready to go, but I wanted to see if anyone could provide some input on if I should brace this box with a horizontal or vertical support? Does the enclosure absorb and vibrate this much with that back pressure to where I should brace the box? If so, what materials should I go about using? a piece of wood is fine? The box will have a double baffel…

I maybe getting a 12" JL W7 which the guy is asking $350 for the sub. I will listen to it before I buy it, but is there anything in particular that JL W7's have problems with that I should be aware of? Next question, I have a Cadence ZRS-8 amp. Will this amp be ok running the W7, because I think I read that they're a 3 ohm sub? Here are my amp specs. 4 Ohm Competition Rating: 50W x 1 2 Ohm RMS Power: 750 Watts x 1 1 Ohm RMS Power: 1500 Watts x 1

I had my system installed about 10 years ago and I ve never really been happy with it. I finally have started diving into to the install and am not happy with very much of it as far as quality and cleanliness. I like things to look stealth and very clean. I have been doing a lot of reading and am getting a plan together. You can see what I have now in my sig. I have questions about wiring, sound deadening, component speaker mounting and adapters, and sub and enclosure. Is this the right section for all these questions? Couple questions to start it off...I have a capacitor that I've had about 12 years now. I always thought it was a good thing until I started reading that I…

Hello SSA it has been a while! I just recently purchased a '12 mustang base model and I really need to upgrade the audio soon before I go insane. The problem is if I want to run any kind of aftermarket head unit I have to buy a $300 dash kit just to put another radio in due to the climate control and radio controls being in one panel. So by the time I get a nice double din and a dash kit it will be $600 easy. I was thinking of just running a LOC out of the factory unit and plugging that into a rockford 5-channel on some sundown components and maybe a sa12. My main question is if the LOC gets the signal from the speakers that are coming from the head unit and I replace the…

I bought a dcon 12 before I switched cars. I want to put the sub in a ported box, the site recomends 1.75 cubes but has anyone had success going smaller? Reason being I need to put things in the trunk from time to time as well as have access to the spare tire. If need be I was considering reconing the sub to a 10, but I'd really prefer not too as the sub has never been used. If it matters the sub would be recieving 350 rms. Thanks!

I'm currently running a fi audio sp4 15 at. 5 ohms with a hifonics brz. 1700 amp. I have a 350 amp alt and a xs power d3400 under the hood and i'm still having problems with my voltage, when the sub hits hard i drop from 14.5 to 11.7volts at some points, what else do i need? More batteries or is it the alternator? The alt was bought of ebay from BnR parts. Just wondering if i should send the alt back and look for a new alt. And if i did send it back what amp alternator should i be looking for? I plan to get a crescendo 3500 within the next few months.

This seemed like an appropriate place to put this, sorry if its not. I would like to get recommendations on good installers in the central/north central Ohio area. I want to talk to someone about my custom glass enclosure I plan to build, see how feasible it is or possibly have the shop do it if I think it's too much for me to handle. I really want someone who can teach a bit here. Not just looking to make a sale, someone I can talk to. Any ideas?

Hey there everybody im new to the site so forgive me if i placed this in the wrong area but im trying to decide what configuration would be the best of both worlds as far as sounding good and being loud in a 91 civic hatch behind the back seats. I plan on running 1 12" sub. Should i have the sub and port forward, up, or back, or should i have a combo of the above port up and sub forward or back or any other variation of the above options? Any input would be great thanks im wanting to go ahead and build my box as i let my pocket recoup from the holidays as its fairly cheap to do. lol I'm just not sure what would be best for my civic.

So I just moved my XCON into the garage yesterday because I was planning on putting them both in tomorrow. This morning while half asleep I bumped my toolbox and a heavy ratchet fell directly onto the dust cap..... After getting the dust cap off I was surprised to see this. So I'm assuming this means that I can still put them both in tomorrow, and just put the cap on when it arrives? (Thanks to Aaron for taking care of me super fast!)

Forgive me if this is in the wrong section, I figured "General" was most appropriate, feel free to move if it's not, just don't flame me too hard. Yes, I know this has nothing to do with sound! With that said, I want to add a backup camera onto my truck for my Pioneer AVIC-Z120BT. I'm overwhelmed with the amount of options out there. I believe CCD gives a better image than CMOS. Just not sure even where to start and what to look for, if anyone is experienced in this department. I mean, Christ. Look at it. Same amount of options at Al & Ed's, SonicElectronix, Pacific, WoofersEtc, etc. http://www.al-eds.com/Back-upForward-facing-Cameras-c439.html Thanks.

Hi, I was wondering, as the alternator put out there max output on around 1500rpm or something like that, on my car, that has an electronic idle control system, Is there some part or something to raise and keep an certain idle speed by the press of a button or something similar? Thank you.

  24. I really cant decide between running 3 6.5's per door or running 3 8's per door. I think the 8's would give a more "full" sound with better midbass. Im still considering running all Crescendo front stage since I have 2 8's in the garage and also have 2 tweeters already. I also already have 2 Rockford 6.5's. So I'm torn which way to go 3 - 8in Crescendo PWX's and 2 FT1 super tweeters per door. or 3 - 6.5in Rockford Punch Pro and 2 PP8-T super tweeters per door. I could do 2 mids and 1 tweeter per door but not sure if it will keep up at 155db+ of bass and I only want to do the doors once. Crescendo's are very heavy, large magnet, 4in deep and the FT1's are relatively…
