I am thinking of going with 2 sets of components for my front stage and doing away with the rears.(maybe) I have a Alpine PDX 4.150 that does 150 x 4 rms to each channel. Right now I have the fronts on the front channel rca and the rears on the rear channel RCA's. So I do not mess with imaging too bad do I just run RCA Y spitters just on the front channel from the head unit so I can use all 4 channels of this amp? I need something to keep up with two 18's and I think my current front stage would but since my rears will blocked by the huge box I might as well double up front and use all 600 of this amp

Hi guys. Since I got my BL 15 I have no use for my Type R 12 and my buddy wanted to upgrade his system a little bit. I've done a couple installs but have no clue where to start with this. This is the system that got my into high output sound systems and now I really need to help him get things straight. He has two Blau Punk 12"s running at 170 wrms each mounted in two 5 gallon buckets. They are basically free air but when the truck is closed they actually have quite a bit of output. For what it is. So i need to set my gain to 24.49v My multimeter is in AC volts mode and its only reading like .200v... Ugh???

I need help figuring out why there isn't any sound coming from my subs. I found out that there is a rubber piece missing on the inside of the terminals on my amp. Could this be why im not getting any sound and if so what should I do?

Ok. so my sister wants something really small, but that will sound good from the lows in rap to country. but she is on an unbelievable tight budget. $300. My dad said he would cover her but he wont be specific so im trying not to go over 600 dollars. can you guys help me out please. i cant seem to find anything that would be decent for that price. she needs everything too. h/u, wire, amp and sub(s).

So my front speakers stopped working and its not a big deal they were cheapo sony 5 1/4"'s, temporary until I got my components. And it was raining one day while I had the speakers were out and I saw the amount of water that runs down the door and gathers at the bottom and then drains out.. This cannot be good for my speakers, and considering there was rust on the back of the burnt up speakers this has to be the culprit. I was planning on putting a nice set of components in but there is no point if they are just gonna get destroyed by rain water.. What would you guys do?

is there an audible difference between 2000 watts and 3400 watts? or an audible difference between 2500 watts and 3800 watts? and i don't mean ac mic or termlab difference, i mean human ear difference

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but its the only one where I see it fit. But anyway, I've been waiting since May 3rd for my two 12" SSA Xcons, order status has been at "awaiting shipment" every since then. It is now june 16th, and I feel like driving to the build house in Nevada and helping them build my xcons in order to speed up the process lol. I already have around 60 ft of welding cable in my truck, I just picked up another 30 feet to do another run of positive to the back because I'm about to install dual alts. Would it be better to run 2 neg runs to the front and back batts or just ground at each end?

I have some questions, hope I can get help. Where can I buy 2/0 AWG wire? Whats a good brand? model? Does 2/0 gauge really make a difference over Zero (1/0) gauge? Is anything thicker (3/0, 4/0) than 2/0 overkill and waste of space? Thanks

My question is with the photos shown would it be worth the big 3 update. The wires I have now are quite large both negatives go to the engine block and there is a little one off of the passneger side that is petite that goes to the truck It is the only one I see so far that actually goes to the body the others deal with the engine.

Why is this happening? I am running 2 MD3's strapped on 2 HD3 15's, an amp on each sub, and it sounds good but everytime I turn my truck off the subs pop, not like distortion pop but just not a quiet turn off. Is there anything I can do to make it a quiet turn off. It does this with the volume on 0, the shop that was able to strap my amps properly told me that it is normal with large systems. Is this true or is there something that I can do to make it turn off quiet? Is it anything that I need to worry about, is it damaging to the equipment? And my HU is a Kenwood KDC-X891 if that makes a difference. Pretty much what could be causing this? And do I need to worry about it?

I know most of the members don't like elemental designs due to the owner, but how is the sound deadening? Or better yet, liquid deadening in general? I usually am used to seeing boxes with the shape of a port like a L, but the box was to be tuned to 32 hz and is missing the piece of wood that is found behind the cutout usually... what is wrong here?
