I'm getting ready to install and aftermarket sub and amp to my friends Ford Edge. I have a Stinger LIne Output Converter for the Edge. Problem is....is that they don't make one for the 07'. It's the same wire scheme, but I can't directly hook it up using the factory harness. I was going to cut and splice the wire and hook it up that way, but not sure which wires are positive, negative, and which wire is the ground. I really need your help. Everything is ready to go except this step. Photo of the Factory harness from the Edge. This harness hooked into the factory amp.

Just wanted to get a feel for how many of you buy from dealers, online, direct from the factory of only buy used i.e. ebay, craigslist, ssa.com, classified. If you compete at all, I am really interested to find out where you get your stuff. 1. Local Dealer 2. Online Store 3. Factory Direct 4. Used from craigslist, ebay, ssa, etc.

Recently acquired an e36 m3 coupe. During the hunt for the car, I was also able to purchase a pair of Jehnert door panels with space for 4 6.5 mids. I've hand picked a couple items I had laying around in the garage for this build So far I've got Kenwood DNX9980HD Audison Bit.1 Zed Dreadnought, Zed Leviathan iii, & JL 1200/1 2 SSA Gcon 15's which I'll be trying out IB or possibly 3 JBL mkii 10's. JBL 2426H horns(Found these on craigslist for 100..steal of the century) ID full horn bodies Now, for the front stage, I have 2 options. 1. 4 18sound 6ND430's(4 ohm). 2. 3 18sound 6ND430's(4 ohm) & A pair of Audax PR170M0's for midrange duties. Which …

Hey all.Im going to be getting my taxes back in a month and im going to get myself a new car.I want either a 1990-2000 model chevy blazer or a mitsubishi 3000gt.Ive wanted a 3000gt since i was about 13 (Im 20 now) and this may be the only chance I have to get one.I know I can get loud in a blazer but could I get as loud in a 3000gt?Like if I put a FI BTL 18 n2 in the blazer with a aq2200 for an amp and has the same thing in the 3000gt,which would be louder? Thanks. I hate to ask this, but I think I may have been misinformed. What would be better/perform better, 2 10" subs ported with 1k watts each in the optimum enclosure or 1 15" sub ported in its optimum enclosure. I keep hearing conflicting stories and want to settle it once and for all. How would the two compare should be the real question......

I did some research and here's what i'm thinking of putting in my grand prix. Headunit - Pioneer DEH-P7700MP 6x9's - Pioneer 5-way TS-A6991R 460w (80rms) or TS-D901P 350w rev series (60rms) 6 1/2's - Pioneer TS-D161R 260w (60rms) Subs - 2x P312D4 1000w (500w rms) was thinking T2's but that's overkill Amp for my high's - P4004 100w x4 (gets more but don't need it) Amp for my subs - P8002 (should net me 500w rms to each sub) Anything you'd change? Reasoning? Box suggestions? Edit: upon further research a P2002 should net me near 60w per speaker instead of using a 4 channel P4004

Hey guys! I drive a Ford Expedition and I pretty much made up my mind on my upgrade. Now I have two Diamond Audio d6 components in the front and two d6 coaxials in the rear powered by Diamond Audio d3 500.4 amp, runing 4 guage power and ground wires to the amp. I currently have two Diamond audio d3 15 inch woofers powered by Mmats 2000.1. I want to replace the subs with four Ascendant Audio Havocs and having two Mmats 3500.1 powering them or should I get two 18's instead with one of the Mmats amps powering them. The box is going to be ported tuned at 32hz. I'm more into sq but I also want to feel the bass in my bones when I need to lol. I listen to a wide range of music. …

I have been running Powerbass subs for a little over a year now and I would have to say that they are the best sounding and hardest hitting subs I have ever used. At fisrt I was running 2 ES10d's in 1.5ft3 per chamber ported in a single cab 98 f150. Pushing 1100 watts through them with a Memphis MC1000D. Hit a respectable 141.7. Sold the 10's to my old man and bought 2 ES12Dv.2's. 2.1ft3 ported per sub in the same truck with the same amp and they drop like its hot. Can't wait to get it mic'd again. Hoping to get over 146 with them. Oh and the Evolution Coaxials and components sound great 2. 5.25 components up front, 6.5 coaxials out back with a Memphis 2004 four channel. …

Hi all, After many weeks of research and reading reviews, I've decided to go with Diamond Audio components. My choices are Diamond Hex S600s fronts, Diamond D661 raw mids for rear fill and a single Diamond 10 or 12 inch sub, don't know which one yet, depends on amp and that's where you all come in. For the amp, I'm thinking either 1 - the new Diamond D6600.4 to feed the front 75 watts per side and run the rear speakers off the x-over's RAF connection and bridging the amp's rear two channels which will give me 300 watts for the sub. Or 2 - the JL Audio 500/5 to give the fronts 100 watts a side, the rears 25 watts each and the sub 275 watts, or 3 - a 2 channel amp at 150 …

I think that this is real chitty but there is now a law that states that if you car is heard from a distance of 75 feet, your car can be impounded on the first time!! That, my friends is complete bullchit. Now there argument is because of emergency vehicles not being heard. Now I can fully understand and would normally agree with this since I would really hope that if I or my family is in need of ambulance, some idiot with a loud stereo does not interfere with them getting to my house, but for God's sake, they give a license to a person who is deaf!! so now what it the argument. Truthfully, I blame the people who haev the loud cars for this. I mean there would reall…

I have a 2011 Mazda 3 and I think my speakers are 5x7's, but from all the reviews i've read, most people say that round speakers are better than ovals, so would a 5" be better than a 5x7? I would like to put 6.5" in my car but I don't know if they would fit or not.

So I had an old friend stop by and he knew I was a fan of bass, and he hasn't heard my subs yet but offered to show me his. So he told me they were kickers, so I was already not impressed haha. So when I actually listened to these 12in kickers in a prefab ported box on a 300w rockford amp, I was pretty surprised. Ive never heard or seen these specific kicker subs before, and they were much louder then I expected. must be new? Now keep in mind my truck has shitty acoustics, and doesn't seal up as well as newer cars/trucks. It actually almost sounded as loud as the DCONs though. It was close, which really put a damper on my day. Sure he was clipping the helll out of the amp…

i guess should post here. i want something LOUD and i want a ported box. im not really concerened too much about sound quality as much as just solid pounding bass. i wanna run at least 1500-2000w rms to both of them. i aint cheap so let me know what some options may be...and if this is too vague tell me and ill try and elaborate more. i was going to go with 2 mtx 9512's...but for the price, they dont seem worth it to me...im sure theres better out there for much cheaper. lemme know...thanks

Right now I have the following: Shitty H/U, replacing that real real soon, but that and my amp are tuned to prevent clipping. Audiopipe AP15001D, 1500W @ 1Ω / 950W @ 2Ω (LINK HERE TO OFFICIAL SITE WITH SPECS) 2 - Fi BL 12 Dual 2Ω Enclosure 2.4 ft³ ported tuned to 32Hz Enclosure 1.5 ft³ ported tuned to 42Hz (41Hz if sub sits ass-out) Horrible 80 amp alternator (It's a 2.4L 4 Cyl Mitsubishi Galant) So with all that, my questions arise: 1. Would it be better to run the one sub at 1500W, or both subs at 475W each @ 2Ω. Keep in mind, that my alt is probably already starving my amp and it most likely isn't pushing out the full 1500w. I also thought about running them @ .5Ω, but…
