Well Ive wanted an oscope for a while now and crt scopes are a little out of the price range even used ones. Im wondering if the hand held ones with the lcd screens would have enough resolution to see a clipping sine wave. Ive seen the video how the were showing how bass boost is bad but cant really tell how good the resolution of the lcd screen due to video quality. Ive used crt scopes in electronic classes and wondering how lcd compares to crt So who here has used the lcd scopes and are they sufficient enough for car audio. I got a new incriminator 20.1 a month ago and just got a used one two days ago they look the same but the link cables are differnt on the new one it looks line a phone jack and the used one is RCA my question is how would I go about linking the two together

sup guy! my friend hooked me up real good with an mtx te4001d amp which has 2200rms at 2 ohs. theres just one problem. i'm a cheap bastard.1) i would first like to know if i should get a bl or btl12 with this amount of power. 2) i also would like to know if i will get away with running 2200 watts with just doing "the big 3" and at most buying one of them "marine batteries" (i have a 80 amp alt). i would like to avoid buying a high powered alternator if its possible. let me know what you guys think!

I installed the battery negative to ground... ...that's all I'm doing today. Maybe a couple of days from now, I might install the amp ground... ...one of these days, Ill run the power wire.

I need help figuring out why there isn't any sound coming from my subs. I found out that there is a rubber piece missing on the inside of the terminals on my amp. Could this be why im not getting any sound and if so what should I do?

I have a 1.3 ft^3 vented box tuned to 33 hz and an Audioque 1200w amp. I placed an order for a GCON-10d2 so I can have plenty of head room and keep the gain down on the amp. My goal is "SQL", not looking to flex all my body panels. I chose this particular size box and sub so I can keep most of my trunk space available. I keep thinking I should have chosen a more powerful subwoofer that can handle ~1000w RMS (ie. FI SSD or AQ HDC3, etc) I'd hate to order a new sub just to wait even longer for the build time. I listen to rap, R&B, techno, dance, dubstep... All advise and recommendations is much appreciated. Thanks!!

So I'm going to attempt to make a false floor in my scion xb. Back there now there is a storage compartment type thing above the spare tire. I'm going to try to make a tray for my amp to sit in. Its a Saz-1000d. Here's my question. I'm going to put some fans in so that I can put the false floor over the amp. Will this have sufficient airflow? Maybe like 2 120 mm fans on each side, 2 pushing and 2 pulling. Will this be a problem?

I a few months my car will be paid off and I want to build a SPL system for competition and plan to use 4 Sundown SAZ-33500D's. My question is 4 Kinetik HC3800 batteries and a DC power 270 amp Alt. sufficient to power them.

So I got this 12 inch square sub for free and I wanted to use it temporarily in my tribute till I get a box built for my other 12 .. But the square one has no info on it except the dust cap witch seems to me is just an X .. If anyone knows about this sub or brand please let me know thanks

I was listening to my Fi Bl 12 today when it began to make a tapping sound. I assumed it was the dustcap, so i stopped my truck to check and found nothing wrong. I noticed the noise at a low volume, and when i turned the volume up it was gone. About 30 minutes later, while i was listening to shizzzons rendition of Dream On, my amp pooped out and began to smell. It also made the tapping noise i was describing earlier for a few seconds before it shut down. I pushed on the cone of my sub and did not notice any "jump" or hear any noise. So im not sure who is the culprit. Is my amp to blame, or did i blow my sub and that caused my amp to fail? amp is aq1200

One of my friends wants a sub but cant spend more then $200 bucks. He has an after market head unit so no need for a converter. So I was thinking its about $40 for the wiring kit I have an old image dynamics 12 in a huge ported box just laying around I can sell him so he just needs an amp he has around $100 left to spend on one so any ideas on the best $100 amp let me know.

I went to a little car showoff / competition yesterday. This was in no way an actual 'organized' competition. Classes were setup as single subwoofer / double subwoofers / Three + subwoofers. After going through all the contestants, they handed out the trophies and prizes. First up was single subwoofer, my class! They call third place, at a 136.9db (I think i got this shit in the bag for 2nd place and my buddy would get 1st place). Then, they call 2nd place.. NOT me 142.1db.
