Destroyed part of their car cause there stereo was to loud like your windows? how loud was you car at the time?

I have a kinda small box for a ported 6 1/2" Bose woofer. It sounds alright, but i can't fit much more in the bag. I was wondering if polyfill would have somehat of the same effect in a ported box as it would in a sealed box. I did want to ask the difference in effect, between stuffing and padding, because i have heard of both being used. I am looking to shift the tuning down a little bit.

My amp's been kicking into protect for no known reason, I've checked every possible connection and wire, and undervoltage is impossible, this is an Atomic 800.1 with a Battcap 2000 in the trunk of my car. I put in a tone cd playing 60hz, put a DMM on the 200 AC voltage setting, touched + and - respectively on the amp outputs then turned the HU up until the amp shut down and we're reading 8.4 volts before shutdown 8.4 x 8.4 = 70 watts am I correct or have I completely lost it? Please don't just jump on me for using a DMM, I know it's not the best way, it's just the most accessible way for me to find wtf is going on.

well to start off, i have two 12's bumpin off a 2 chan. 350w visonik amp @ 4ohms i know it isnt much, but in order to get the 800w mtx i am lookin at i need something that wont clip out at medium power... please help me out here i need something to bump with til i can get a car (only 2 years!!)

So i need to set my gain to 24.49v My multimeter is in AC volts mode and its only reading like .200v... Ugh???

Does anyone besides me think that the full 9kw of three 12" type X's will destroy a perfectly good honda civic? i was thinkin 3 type X's in a buddy's civic. then three SAZ-3000d's. whatever, just lemme know.

I have a sundown x10 in 2cubic foot box aero port tuned to 32 hz now. Amp is skar sk1500v2 car is 2011 Toyota Camry sub and port are rear facing towards trunk lid about 1foot away. Looking to go with fi ssd fully loaded 10 in same box for better sq and still maintain a nice punch. Would this box be to much for this speaker? I love the x 10 from 32hz to about 45 hzeverything else it seams to struggle with? Would more power be the solution or should I go with something like the fi?

What all are you guys using? I'm looking for a decent alarm. Nothing too expensive. Vehicle doesn't have power doors/windows, so don't need something too special. I really, really don't like dealing with alarms. I detest alarms. Glass breaking sensors are good ... and I don't mind if it chirps if someone bumps into it.

Hey guys, I just got a new sub put in my car and my box is currently sliding around all over the place in the trunk, (I drive a Mazda Rx8 btw), the box sliding is annoying and unsafe.. so I'd like to fix it asap. I was hoping to get some ideas or suggestions on how to stop the movement! Thanks in advance! If pictures would help, let me know. I could try to get some!

i was browsing through the internet at different car audio companys and i saw one called audioque and a 3500 watt amp for 549 does anyone know much about this product?

a 3.3uF MFD 100V cap, they use those on the tweets....says for 8 ohm drivers it crosses them @ 6k ive got some other ones that say 100WV (not 100V like the other ones i have) and they say 3.3MFD 10%...are they the same? also, "non-polar" what does that mean? someone said it means that it makes the amp not know what load the speakers are at

I am rebuilding my system and am going to start with my front stage. I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe and listen mostly to rock, rap, and trance. It will be a daily driver and I am focused on SQ for the time being. I will be purchasing a pxa-h701 so I can run a 3 way active front stage and sub if I have the need to. I am also taking into consideration a 2 way front if that will work better. I have decided on kicks for the highs and mids, and the door for the midbass, but they will be crossed low. I just bought a zv5 15 thinking it was dual 2 ohm and it’s dual 1 ohm. I have a few questions. First, can it be recone to dual 2? Because I read some motors are only configured to function on the original impedance. Idk. And if I can’t get it recone, can I run that amp at .5 ohm unclipped on that zv5 and not overpower it? Should I run it at 2 ohms? I hope it can be reconed to dual 2. In need of help. Thank u.

Seems to be hard for me to find wiring diagrams for my setup. I have a single DVC 1 ohm sub, and a 2 ohm mono channel amp. Right now it's wired at .5 ohm and the amp or sub is cutting out at around 3/5 way up, not sure if it's the subs or the amp because the protect light does not come on, but it acts as if it goes into protect. I decided to wire to over 2 ohms. This would be wired from amp + to sub + amp - to sub - sub + to - for a 2 ohm load, or a 4 ohm? 2 right? Also, the amp has dual outputs, and i've read that I can wire up further by using both output terminals.

I am getting ready to sell a cell phone I am not using. Once it is sold I will have $260 to spend on something for car audio. I have three choices on how to spend the $260 and wanted some opinions from everyone else as to what you would do or what would be more beneficial. Option 1- Two rolls of raamaat. Spend an entire weekend deadning my car, I might have a day off by the time it gets here. Hey guys! I drive a Ford Expedition and I pretty much made up my mind on my upgrade. Now I have two Diamond Audio d6 components in the front and two d6 coaxials in the rear powered by Diamond Audio d3 500.4 amp, runing 4 guage power and ground wires to the amp. I currently have two Diamond audio d3 15 inch woofers powered by Mmats 2000.1. I want to replace the subs with four Ascendant Audio Havocs and having two Mmats 3500.1 powering them or should I get two 18's instead with one of the Mmats amps powering them.
