My girlfriend has a 2010 Elantra and wants a basic system that'll sound good and have decent output. She really likes the look of DC subs and I already know DC makes good quality stuff. I'd like to get her a single Level 3 12 in a nice box made my Pound that Sound or Fisher Customs. The amp that caught y eye to power the Level 3 12 is a Kicker ZX750.1. Is that a good quality amp?

i guess should post here. i want something LOUD and i want a ported box. im not really concerened too much about sound quality as much as just solid pounding bass. i wanna run at least 1500-2000w rms to both of them. i aint cheap so let me know what some options may be...and if this is too vague tell me and ill try and elaborate more. i was going to go with 2 mtx 9512's...but for the price, they dont seem worth it to me...im sure theres better out there for much cheaper. lemme know...thanks

I have audacity and know how to edit and slow and blah blah but is there an option on audacity to do this or is there another program you could recommend me, perferably free lol

It will actually be a pair of subs. Single cab pick up truck with limited space behind the seat. Looking for a nice little sub that can get loud. Power will come from the sub channel of my GS Redline 3 channel amp. BS rated at 1,000 watts for the sub channel into one ohm. It is currently pushing a pair of 12" IA Lethal Injections quite nicely ran at 2 ohms, so any of the subs on this list will work. Alpine Type R $120 Arc 8V3 $150 Image Dynamics ID8 $100 Incriminator I Series $95 JBL GTO $80 Memphis $120 Dayton HF $105 Dayton HO $115 I am ok with the prices of all these subs. Any pair of these can be wired to show my amp either 2 or 1 ohm, I am not too worried with the …

Hey, I'm looking for a bit of advice. I bought some 6.5" Focal component speakers for my 99 Civic LX which has 6.5" stock speakers. The problem is that the Focals appear to be a hair larger than they specified... The diameter of the speaker is a good 1-2mm wider than claimed, which means I'm forced to do some modification. I would probably just huck them on eBay, except a) I really like their sound, and b) I already drilled / installed the tweeters on my door panel. So I'm left with a tricky situation. I'm debating whether or not I should be cutting the metal ring around the speaker, or the plastic on my door. They both have pros and cons and while I'm slightly handy, I'm…

I am selling the Lanzar and I am looking for a Kicker 2500.1 Email me at [email protected] please no PMs! :41 into the vid that is 7Hz!!! I can not describe what the 18Hz part is like, but you can hear below 20Hz if the output is high enough! I LOVE IT! More to come. I've searched, and all the topics i've found are for trunks, which you can bolt, or use velcro. My box will be taking up 2 of the 3 rear seats, and i can't bolt it, and i also don't think i can velcro without ruining the seats. I was thinking L brackets, but i need something more flexible than that to make it to the rear panel of the truck cab. Suggestions?

  12. I have a 12inch dcon. It says that 2.25cu.ft. is "optimal" and the smallest you should build it is 1.75cu.ft. Lets say they are both tuned the same. What is the difference in sound, etc? What is lost or gained by making the box that much bigger? Also, I listen to mostly rock with a decent amount of rap music thrown in there. I'm looking for a nice middle ground tuning and a box that can be easily moved if needed. I was considering 2.0cu.ft. tuned to 32hz. Would you suggest something different? Thanks. (also, I know less power usually calls for a bigger box, I'll be running 340rms or slightly over to the sub) Thanks!

Hello, I am finishing up on my box and all I need to do is put my aeros in. I wanted to know if it would be a problem if I had an overly large sealed enclosure. I do realize the bigger the enclosure, means less power handling but better efficiency. I have 2 AA Havoc 12's on an saz-2500d. It has come to a conclusion that these I can't find a good alternator for my vehicle which basically forces me to run 4 ohm (if I have voltage problems at 1 ohm.) So I'll be running around roughly 600 watts. Which sucks. The enclosure is meant to be a 3.90ft^3 box @ 33hz. But I'm wondering since i havent made the aero holes yet, If I can just make it a temporary sealed box at around 4.20…

First, what is the different between the Original, and the Extreme Dynamat? Because, I am thinking of just getting two packs of the Original Speaker Kits. A set for up front, and a set in the back. I didnt think I would need to shell out for extreme. Should work all in the same manor right? I'm only going to put in the new '07 Type R comps and coax's. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=12644 And also, my car is a 2002 Honda civic SI. I believe it has a 70 amp alternator. My sub amp will be pulling 1300wrms and speaker amp doing 60 wrms a channel. So, will I need a capacitor? If so, how many farads? What brand is good? Because I also have after market…

  20. If anyone decides to go with FI - Your choosing to have the BEST. just my2cents Then again there havn't been to many top stereo's to listen to music on at SBN in the last 10 years. Some but not alot. FI showed up with the QUAD all day and I, an oldskooler who thought SPL had killed our sport, have witnessed the second coming. I was very excited to say the least at the best Daytona SBN's in over 10 years thanks to everyone reppin FI. You made the difference. It woulda been the same old thing - we find that one truck hear it walk around until we're back at the same truck. FI brought back the old days where you actually have something to do all day besides charge bat…

Their is going to be a sound comp in my city on June 12th. They have a meter. But they want to use two of their random songs they pick for spl and sq. It's understandable for the sq part of the sound off. But the same song for the spl part? I want to use tones. They are just going to pick music. Which if the song has a 30hz bass line. If I'm tuned to 40hz and play it, my subsonic filter would just cut it out. One guy said "Thats not how it works at a normal sound off. Everyone uses the same track. That's how it's been at every other sound-off I have attended. this isn't my first." What should I say?

  22. Ok, so as stated in the title these are my thoughts and OPINIONS on using a plate amp to power a subwoofer setup in a house and going active in a home environment. This was wrote in a short time period late a night so deal with any rambling that I did and please correct me where you see fit. I would like ya'lls opinion on this article and what needs to be changed, etc, etc. KEEP IN MIND THESE ARE ALL MY OPINIONS, NOT FACT. Thinking of using a big badass rack amp to drive your subs in your house? Thinking of going active in your home setup? If so, you may want to read this

  23. Hey guys, I just wanted your opinions on what enclosure would be better in terms of "loudness". That may be defined differently for some of you, but I'm looking for a low boomier type of bass. I'm not sure what setup I have planned for will be loudest though. Here's what I got so far: Setup 1: 1 12" Fi Q in a 2.5 cu ft ported enclosure @ 32 hz, running 900w @ 2 Ohms. OR Setup 2: 2 12" Fi Q in a 2.5 cu ft sealed enclosure, both wired down to run 600w each @ 1 ohm. The reason I don't do both speakers in a ported enclosure is because I don't have 4-5 cubes of space to offer in my car trunk. Gotta put the groceries somewhere, you know? Anyways, I'd love to hear some thoughts …

The last RF sub i bought was last years model, it said it could handle 900 rms right, so i got my jbl 1200.1, had the gains down, but had it so it could play a lil bit, after about 3 days i was back at BB asking for another sub, gotta love there warranty policy...HAHAHAHA, That could be a thing to do buy a whole lot of BB subs, get the warrant, goto comps burp the subs at whateva ya wanted, then take them all back hahaha... But i really dont know ABout RF any more, their stuff looks nice, but i have not really heard …
