Well I was originally going to do SPL comps but I haven't been to one in two years and I figure it may be time to move on.... So I figure, should I keep my 15 or sell it? I am thinking of doing a different build - from 1 15 to 4 10" woofers.. Not too sure what kind yet but probably Fi bls (or maybe qs) and strap one amp to them for now and if I want to upgrade it I have the electrical for it (3 bats in the trunk and a 350 amp) strap a bigger, or another amp on. But heres my question mainly - how will having more cone space but less power do? Will it be just as brutal if I tune low or will I be missing out a lot?

Well my trunk latch has failed, my license plate has fallen off and the back driver side door lock has stopped working sense I put in my system but.... I downloaded and cranked to the max, banged that at least three times in a row for some friends / spectators and I noticed after that the dust cap wasn't even warm. Now I take it this is a good thing (signal isnt being clipped) except does that mean I can be pushing that speaker harder? If so what should I try and do? I have my gain pretty high, my SSF is set to 30hz (box is tuned at 32hz and it just happens to be right where that song peaks for my car) and I am looking for more ideas.. thanks!

i dont get how you are supposed to be able to use the two ohm option on most four channels amps. mostly the speakers usd for front stage come in 4ohm and they are not dvc so if i run them in parrallel two sets of speakers would be runnin at 1ohm each right? i know there are 2ohm 6.5 speakers out there but its like searchin for a ghost. and i have never seen a dvc 6.5. besides i have enough 6.5's layin around to last for a lifetime. so how do you get the most out of a four channel amp that does say 75x4 @4ohm and 125@2ohm?

The situation: Getting my 12" BTL this weekend.. The amplifier I have currently is going to have my sub screaming for .. I'm wanting to feed it at least 2k rms. The question: Assuming I have the electrical to run 3000 watts at a stable voltage, would it be and audible difference from 2000 watts just on a daily setup? This is not for numbers at all. Simply for listening experience. I've heard answers coming from both ends.. I don't want to spend an extra 100-200$ on another 1kw if it's not going to be any louder to MY ear than 2000 watts. For those who must know the amp I have now, it's a Lanzar MAXP1200d. There are NO available RMS ratings for this amp online that I…

He's such full of it, lol He's preeching to my class about how people these days do things wrong, such as. It is just as efficient to run one battery, and a crap load of alternators would be more sufficient then to have more batterys and 2-3 bigger alts. Probably true, but then he's talking how you can't be supplying your amps with just battery's of the amount of power it's rated to do, saying that they'll die within seconds, we all know it could happen, but cmonnn.

Goal is to have a SQ front stage. Plan is to have carbon mids on the doors. Tweeters will probably stick to my Bravox and add a few more. I dont want to leave my rear doors without any speakers so I will prob replace the factory and place a pair of carbon mids there. So far, I dont have plans on putting tweeters on the back doors yet. At first I wanted 8" drivers for midbass, but looks like the carbons will be able to do that job. Thats where I see them benefiting from the extra 50watts from the Leviathan. Prob going to cross them ~63hz I thinking about sticking to 2 amps for the mids/highs. My question pretty much is, what other benefits does the Leviathan have (besides …

Anybody ever deal with taking the dash out on one of these? I'm trying to install my single din radio (not sure if single din's possible) and i'm afraid to just rip off the dash like I used to do with my 2001.

New guy here. Looking for help on a potential audio setup for my 2010 Dodge Charger. I'm looking to get 2 12" subs, amp, and enclosure first. ( <<<looking to spend about $800. is that feasible?) Then looking to get an aftermarket head unit down the line. I honestly have no idea about car audio so I need some suggestions. I want something that sounds good but hits hard. I mostly listen to hip/hop n rap so I like bass but not to the point that's all I hear. Any suggestions or opinions would be great. I know you guys probably get these questions all the time (sorry) but I figured I'd ask people who know something about car audio.

Hey guys I am currently debating on which sub to go with for my girlfriends car. here is what i have narrowed it down to the SA12 http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/Sundown-Audio-SA%252d12.html or the VVX 12 http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/VVX%252d12%22-Sub-Woofer.html the pricing for both are similar which is good but i have yet to deal with either of those above listed subs. So i would like some input and Yes i know ppl tend to like the SA12's but has anyone used the VVX subs yet? a little more about the build is the car is an 07 hyd elantra we are keeping it stock and just using a LOC (line out converter) for the sub stage. We will be…

If you want the loudest possible enclosure for your subs do you want more enclosure volume or more port area? What are the positives and negatives of more port area or less.

Right now for my SAZ-3500Ds that are strapped i'm grounded to my frame but it's a pretty long wire and i don't want it that long. I cannot make the ground wire short and STILL ground to the frame, just can't. So this leaves me with grounding to the body, which i've only done with multi-channel amps.. no big mono blocks. I have (1) Yellow Top under the hood, (4) XS Power D3100s in the bed, (1) 320 amp Alternator from DC Power, Big 3 all inside a 1986 S-15 My concern is that grounding to the body will not be efficient enough for my SAZ-3500Ds. What is your input?

Guys, Need some help/advice. Here's the story... When I play this specific song my bass cuts-off. There's no more sound coming from my sub. I have 1000's of songs and this title is the ONLY one that cuts it off ALL the time. It's psybient (Chillout) music My amp is an Orion D1200 Sub is an SSA ICON 12" D2 connected in series. I tried in series (4 ohms) and parallel (1 ohm) and it still cuts-off!! My simple question is WHY? I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge on the matter. Here's the title if you need it: (It's got major bass) http://www.sendspace.com/file/uxy0yn Artist/song title: Cell/A Figliulina

As the subject says I have blown one of my JBL mids. Does anyone know if I could by just the mids or possibly send the one I blew back to JBL for a repair. I have never delt with JBL so I don't know if they ever offer something like that. I am very pleased with the mids and don't feel like replacing the complete component system.

My friend has an 02 Mustang GT convertible. He wants to cram a BTL 15" inside. His rear seats do not fold down. The question is...If his seats were not folded down would that affect the bass significantly or only just a little bit. He was thinking of taking out the rear seats but that would expose the convertible motor and stuff. The first task is to see if a 4.0cuft box would even fit back there... Thanks for any help.
