So is there any way for me to be able to get my 8ga speaker wire once doubled to fit in my btl terminals? I can't seem to get it to fit in amp or sub terminals, also I have an Audioque 2200d powering my btl which has four wire ports can I combine the two+ and the two- into the+ and- on box or what would be my best bet?...thanks

Ive been playing with my front stage for a little while and its just not cutting it for me.. let me give some info here, I have a 18" BTL running off a sundown 1500 @ 1 ohm, Damn speaker hits real hard (ported box). in a 97 Tahoe 4door. I dont know much about running a proper sounding front stage, i have deadened the 2 front doors and placed a pair of Zapco i-6 components in the front 2 doors. Powered by an older fosgate 600.4, using the supplied crossover (passive i believe?). I also have 2 eclipse coaxial's in the rear doors running off the same amp as the fronts. I have done the whole Velcro thing on the tweets moving them around to see what I like best.. they sound j…

  3. The anticipation is killing me. Summer days go by and I'm not bumping. How long am I looking at to receive my single zcon recone? Ordered on 6/7. I was hoping it would arrive in 2-3 weeks. Anyone have any input on how long it took for them to receive a recone?

Hey I was wondering if anyone here had made a enclosure or kick panels with fiberglass and had luck with it. I don't really know where to start or what works and what dosen't. I want to build a box for a sub or maybe some kick panels because Im getting borded with just plain boxes and want to build something unique. What do I need to buy and where can I get the materials? Are there any web sites that would help me? What do you use to cover the fiberglass after you lay it? Is it just plain bondo? I have never used fiber glass before, but I know my way around a shop just want to expand my horizons. Any info would help a lot.

does anyone have experience building this type of box? well for the time being im gonna use one atlas and figured since i've allways wanted to try this box design heres my chance. this is what i have so far. max dimensions 14-h 37-w 20-d so around 4.7cf, ok now i was gonna make chamber A 14x26x20 so 3.2cf and chamber B 14x11x20 so 1.2cf. now using one 4inch port 15 inchs long chamber a would tune to roughly 25hz and chamber b would tune to roughly 43hz. so how would this do? i tried to stick as close as possible to the 1/3 rule. also tuning that low will i lose my upper end response, like in the 60+hz range?

I'm about to step in and start editing some more music for custom purposes for car audio and want to know what frequency range i should focus on? This project will mainly be focused on older 70s-80s rock that had no bass hardly. I want to bring out frequencies that just didn't audibly exist before. I've done this before a while back and some people have the custom 16 min Pink floyd track i did but now i want to do this... So, what frequency to you is LOWWWWwwww? i can bring it out all the way to 1hz but there comes a point to where it's too low so i need to know how low is too low really. Anyone who listens to these tracks can mainly only benefit from it from a setup whe…

Hey guys, Just got my 2 sa-12s installed with my saz 1000d. My light dimming is very minimal at night so i figured i would do the big three before i do anything else... I currently have 4ga wire for my amp ground and amp +. Would it be okay to leave it like that? If its okay to leave it like that, can i do the big 3 in 4ga? or just do it in 0ga. I will never put a larger amp in this car if that helps with anything. saz1000d will be the largest amp it will ever see.

I have a 2011 extended cab chevy silverado and plan on taking out the back seats and doing a box and keeping it under the back window and was wondering what the best setup would be. I will be running around 2-3k watts havent decided on amp yet but that will be the power range. My main questions are what will be best to do 4 15s or 8 12s or one 18 and also which way to fire the subs and the port. Any input or suggestions would be great thanks!

  21. First, a little history, it's been about 2 years now that I haven't had subs, I traded in my Chevy Blazer for a leased Cruze, so I didn't put my subs in it, I let my friend use them. Now I no longer have the Cruze, I now own an Impala. The set up I ran in my Blazer was 2 Cerwin Vega S.1000 amps strapped together powering 2 Pioneer Premier Championship Series 12s at 1000wrms a piece. I loved it, they hit harder than anyone elses set up that I knew and they sounded really nice. One of the amps ended up blowing, so I only have one of them now, and the subs are stuck in my buddy's trunk. Now I know 2 Pioneer 12s doesn't sound like it'd be the greatest system in the world, so …

  22. Hey Guys.....I have recently purchased a SAZ 1500D and it's powering 2 Powerbass ES 15's in a sealed box. I'm now interested in getting more sound than what I've got now that I have more power. Here's my existing box. I've talked to a guy who's been doing car audio installs for many years. Being that I've got a trunk car and my back seat doesn't lay down, he thought this would be a good design. He said it basically takes all the bass out of my trunk and directs it into my cabin. It sounds like a good idea but I'd just like to get more opinions. It would be with my existing 15's. Here's the box design. It's 7 cubes net and has a 3.3 cube down chamber with an 8 X …

  24. I'm looking for options for sub placement so I can keep as much of my trunk as possible (because I haul a ton of sh*t). My spare tire well hasn't been used since I did my deadening and to me it's just wasted space. My question is how do spare tire well installs sound? I've seen tons of them, but never heard one in person. Any other options so that I can retain as much trunk space as possible? And FYI, I'm planning on a simple 10" or 12", nothing too crazy.
