I have a 2011 extended cab chevy silverado and plan on taking out the back seats and doing a box and keeping it under the back window and was wondering what the best setup would be. I will be running around 2-3k watts havent decided on amp yet but that will be the power range. My main questions are what will be best to do 4 15s or 8 12s or one 18 and also which way to fire the subs and the port. Any input or suggestions would be great thanks!

Ok, I have like 3 8'x16'' long boards of 7 layer plywood. i am going to make a box 40x12x12 for two 10 TC7s. Should I go buy MDF or would the 7 layer plywood work just as well? the box will be ported using 3' big 14'' long areo ports.

Well, I finally got the last word about my deployment. I ship out right around New Year. Now that I have a time-line I need to get the Neon in saleable shape. I bit the bullet last night an bought the amp. It's an older Kicker KX550.3 3 channel. Fresh refurb. $149 shipped. Now all I need is the sub. Looking for an inexpensive 12 that will work well in a small sealed enclosure and 200@4 or 400@2 for power. The build will take place over the next 3 weeks before I ship out. More sooner than later. Hi everyone I am looking for some suggestions on a good 3 stage battery charger to charge my 4 deka group 24 AGM batteries that is good for both agm & standard flooded batteries my budget is around $100.00. Desulphation a feature I would like to have. Some of the chargers I have been looking at are the Deltran Battery tender plus , Battery minder 2012 agm, NOCO Genius 7200. Those are just a few in my price range I am not looking for the best charger but one that will be safe for my agm batteries that will maintain, fully charge & keep them in top condition. I have a powerbass xs15d2 and I've been hearing a rattle. So I inspect the sub and the basket is loose from the upper plate. This would be a defect not user error correct? Also the sub still plays fine and don't rattle while playing music parked but only rattles when I hit a bump or dip in the road. Should I use it till it get replaced? Any suggestion are appreciated.

So I helped a buddy install an Alpine HU last night. It was the first time I worked on audio in a loooooong time. He wants to do an amp, front speaker combo. I am trying to convince him that deadening will be the best bang for his buck when doing the doors. He has about $650 for budget and I'm trying to figure out the best way to maximize the budget. Sound Deadening Based on what I see with SDS the 3M acoustic is the highest cost. Im getting an Optima yellow top on sunday for a good deal.I also hear that the batcaps are magnificient also and out of sight.My question is should I get 2 optimas or get one optima and a couple of batcap 800's.I dont know how many batcap 800's im getting because they are so small.

I am currently running a single sundown sa-8 under my rear seat in my truck. Dual 2 ohm voice coils. Powering it with a us amps md -1d At 4 ohms. I want a little more and was debating about buying a Memphis mojo 8” to fit in same box so I could wire it down to 1 ohm to get more juice from the amplifier. The mojo Is rated at 900 w rms 1800 max(stated on website). The amp pushes 1200 w at 1 ohm. (Claimed) the sundown is rated around 500 rms. Any suggestions on which route to go? Is the Memphis better then the sundown?

I'm building an enclosure for 4 12in Solo Barics, 2007 models. The question I have is he's already got the gear and he bought one of the really long, thin Memphis 4000 watt mono amplifiers. Does anyone have any experience with these? I personally think it's overpriced. I'm hoping it turns out to be a decent amp but I want to make sure the setup goes well for him.

ok, i've got the high end covered...with these planars, thanks ryan but i need help with the mid and sub....i want to do a three way set up. here's some idea's... these for the midbass/range these for the subs i have no idea about the crossovers... i want to do either a 10 or a 12 in each tower (or a pair of something) and either a 5.25 or 6-6.5 for the mid. i don't want to spend a fortune, but i want to thrash my 14 year old set of pioneer towers....
