thought you guys would liek to look at my new gear i got in today. it is 1 sundown 3000d and 2 shocker 3 10's. there going to be in 5.5 cubes @ 35hz here next weekend. but for right now their in 1.8 @ 35hz and they still sound great. well here are the pics

i measured my trunk i dont know if i did it right ,from front to back its 46 inches the height is 19 iches and the length 42 inches and then more towards the back of the car trunk its 56 inches if youve seen a chrysler 300 trunk then you know what i mean.i wanted to know if i could fit 3 xcon 12s in there i know zero about boxes anything will help...thanks

Wasn't entirely sure on what section to stick this one in... So i've seen a few companies that make these "bass shakers" (mostly Aurasound.) I was wondering if anyone had any expereince with any bass shaker. I am by no means interested in buying one, just more or less curious about placement and effectiveness. If you ask me, they kind of sound like a stupid idea... but what do i know. They kinda look fun to play around with... but not for how much they cost.... and do they shake different for different frequencies or....? it's all confusing to me. thanks!

Hey all. The time has finally come for me to enter my first comp tomorrow. I will be in a 2001 galant and my setup will be 2 American Bass XD 12's, a planet audio BB2 2400 rms 3000 max sub amp and (don't laugh) a dual 4 channel amp for my mids which are brand X. I know this setup is really crappy to most of you but I have worked hard to get it this way and it doesn't sound half bad. I don't really care how I do or anything I just really don't want to embarrass myself when I show up. I will take pics if I can and let you guys know how it went. Can't wait!!!! W00T

I need to test my old bd1000.1 but need to figure out what speaker wire is what to hook up to my line output converter. Nothing is marked in any way besides color. This is for a 06 impala without bose.all the power and everything is hooked up. Just waiting to test the rcas. The left rear speaker has brown and yellow and the right rear speaker has blue and light blue. Any ideas one which is positive and negative? I need to find out if this amp works or I'm gonna but a new one ASAP.

I have a 09 silverado crew cab with factory radio and speakers. I don't know if i want to put a box under the rear seats or not but I do want some nice sound and clarity.. what are my options for good mids and highs? As for my budget i don't really have one but I don't want to spend a fortune

First let me start by saying...im only 16 and this will be going in my first car! I was super confused on what sub setup to go with...so i will be going with a single 12 ported tuned to 30hz...which is pretty low in my opinion. The two subs i have in mind are the SSA Icon and the FI Q. The Q box would be 2.5 cu ft. net, the ICON box would be 2.25 cu ft. net. I feel as though these subs will give me excelent SQ with an ability to jus flat out wang from time to time. My car is a 1977 Buick Regal. Just a general question for clarification. I have a single dual 2 ohm subwoofer wired to 1 ohm. If I connect it to 2 1 ohm amps that are strapped, will the sub still see 1 ohm or 2? If it is still 1 ohm, does this mean that the amps will be running at .5 ohms each?

I am looking to buy a new car and I have a question for anyone who knows, or has experience with what subwoofers sound like in a convertible. The car I am looking to buy is a 1997 mitsubishi eclipse spyder gs and I was wondering if subwoofers would be worth putting in. I know that is waaaay too broad of a question because everyone has different definitons of sound quality and volume, but I would just like some opinions maybe from people who have put subwoofers in a convertible before.

Im going to building a box here shortly that will use aero ports. Reason for this post is to hopefully find someone who has dealt with my particular problem before. Box will require 3 aero ports each about 17" in length 3" in diameter. An experimental ABC box. although i have no more than about 11.5" depth to work with (internal) The box will be going into a s10 so not a ton of depth to play with. I will need to use elbows in my ports. I really like the precision port kits but they dont seem to offer an elbow attachment. This song is really old but it still pounds harder than most songs this day!! I discovered it around 08' and alot of people still dont know about it so Im going 2 bring it to life! My dad's friend recently asked me to help build him a system after hearing a previous setup I had and decided he wanted something as well. His budget is around $1300-1400 and wants to incorporate an in dash dvd, no need for nav, but with touch screen, BT, and IPOD capabilities. He drives a 2009 Ford Lariat F 150 and would like to keep customization minimal and realiability high. He primarily listens to country, oldies, classic rock, blues, and jazz. He doesn't necessarily require a large amount of bass, I guess just enough to add more depth. Need some help got a 77 c10 dont really know what to do for a sub becuase of the lack of room, plan on putting a box between the driver side a pass side. 2 feet across 2 feet hight and 1 feet 3 inches in dept. what can i fit in something like this. I am opening to any subs, how many if i can go ported such things like that .

What's your take on tuning for hair tricks for dual ported 15's or 12's. Lower or higher? 20hz? 40hz?
