So I used to have my quad stereo speaker setup for my home wired in parallel and then I was re-doing things and I always noticed it lacked any bass, so I thought it was maybe because i was creating a 12-ohm setup for my 8 ohm stereo. So I rewired it so I would be creating a 6-ohm setup which did improve my bass response. But when I did this my rear speakers got about 3-5db quieter which is good to me because they have a higher sensitivity so they tended to drown out the front anyways. But I am wondering why would my front speakers being wired in the beginning of the series setup be louder now? And if this is how it works wouldn't wiring a dual voice coil in a series caus…

Well because i crashed my BMW im planning to get VW Golf II Here is picture of gold II Im planning to take out back seats and wall 4x12" subs, how does that sound ? Subs would be SPL dynamics V300D2. And run them around 3-4kw RMS. But there is second option also 2x15" subs, what do you think, what would be nicer ? 2x15 or 4x12 ? i prefer 4x12. Hit me up with ideas

I cannot find this info anywhere but i was at a seminar for a big show coming every year in Louisville, KY next month. The dealer there said that they would have still been a current Kinetik battery dealer but they had to get rid of their inventory because there are rumors goin around saying that Kinetik is about to close for good... Now, i have never seen this posted anywhere but a dealer would have first hand knowledge of such action so i dont know really what to believe. It doesn't hurt me any but for those who like the company, might be something to look into.

hi i recently bought a 96 jeep cherokee and i am planning on putting a system in it... just got to start of with the components... ok i have a 4 door jeep with a rear pillar with 2 5.25 and im just planning on leaving the rear pillar alone anf just getting components fro the 4 doors and amplify it.... so im getting a brand new rf power hx2 15 thats been sitting since it was bought because the guy bought 2 of them years ago and only used one. i also found a hifonics bxi2010 bnib never been hooked up for $180....i want the hifonics but the guy with the sub has a power acoustik bamf 5500 which should i get? and im thinkin of taking my backseat out and walling between the cab and trunk. now the question about that is should i go sealed or ported? im looking more towards spl then sq any advice will be very appreciated. im taking my time putting this setup in so its done right and not just thrown together like my last one

so im looking at some two way 6.5" component systems If im only doing front stage, i still need a four channel amp, right? 2 channels for the two 6.5's, and 2 for the tweets? i just want to make sure because i'm trying to take advantage of the amps on db-r before they are gone.... thanks!

Please don't take this the wrong way, but i have asked all the enclosure builders on here for a quote on a enclosure so I can then pay them to start building one, but the only person who has responded was pound that sound and he can't build one at the moment, I don't like waiting, I want to know who I can go through that will respond within the 24 hours, its been 3 days now, and I haven't gotten one quote yet?? I'm sorry if this bothers someone, but what kind of business makes there customers wait?

I rebuilt my box and actually made an advance in performance. The amps can be driven more before they want to clip. My question is, when I measured the voltage (at Idle) while driving the system higher, the voltage on my two Kinetik 3800's dropped to 12.4 volts. I do have another Iraggi 260 Amp Alternator. Do you think I should install it? I wouldn't play it at this level normally but only to either brag or at a competition. Advise please. Thanks, JR

My friend is deciding on an 18 for his van, and i told him i'd help him out by buying his 15's he has just chillin. They are Fusion Powerplant series, the older green ones, that are 450rms. I looked all over and i just couldnt find anymore info on the old models; does anyone have any experience with these subs? I am looking to make an spl (burp) setup for my moms hatchback. Recently someone broke into my truck so i took out everything except the wiring. so i have my box out and i have never been to do a air trick with the 2 18" bl's in the silverado ext cab . so my question is what can i do to improve the box. my goal is to move lots of air and im not into the numbers TL. my box is 55X24X24 there outside measurements with no 45s nor nothing just simple with port on the side if i remember correctly its tune to 32htz with 205 of port area would making pvc ports help alot or what can i do ? here is a pic of the box PIC OF BOX

I think I am giving up on the idea of going active until I become a bit more knowledgeable about the sound I would like and mounting locations that best suit me. So anyway, I am going to purchase a new component set instead. I have a 2004 Tahoe, listen to mostly rock, hip hop, and trance. This is a daily driver and I am going to drop my focus from purely SQ. Heys guys I will be building my sub box for 2-15inch NS subs come this summer and I had a quick question. first of all here is my box. see how the subs are firing DOWN and the full weight of the subs is on that one board, well i am going to need to support that board somehow. I am rebuilding my system and am going to start with my front stage. I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe and listen mostly to rock, rap, and trance. It will be a daily driver and I am focused on SQ for the time being. I will be purchasing a pxa-h701 so I can run a 3 way active front stage and sub if I have the need to. I am also taking into consideration a 2 way front if that will work better. I have decided on kicks for the highs and mids, and the door for the midbass, but they will be crossed low.
