Recently someone broke into my truck so i took out everything except the wiring. so i have my box out and i have never been to do a air trick with the 2 18" bl's in the silverado ext cab . so my question is what can i do to improve the box. my goal is to move lots of air and im not into the numbers TL. my box is 55X24X24 there outside measurements with no 45s nor nothing just simple with port on the side if i remember correctly its tune to 32htz with 205 of port area would making pvc ports help alot or what can i do ? here is a pic of the box PIC OF BOX

I think I am giving up on the idea of going active until I become a bit more knowledgeable about the sound I would like and mounting locations that best suit me. So anyway, I am going to purchase a new component set instead. I have a 2004 Tahoe, listen to mostly rock, hip hop, and trance. This is a daily driver and I am going to drop my focus from purely SQ. Instead, I would like to just go loud but at the same time I like quality in my music, low distortion, as well as good imaging and staging. I rebuilt my box and actually made an advance in performance. The amps can be driven more before they want to clip. My question is, when I measured the voltage (at Idle) while driving the system higher, the voltage on my two Kinetik 3800's dropped to 12.4 volts. I do have another Iraggi 260 Amp Alternator. Do you think I should install it? I wouldn't play it at this level normally but only to either brag or at a competition. Advise please. Thanks, JR

I'm really at a point where I honestly have no idea what i want to get. I am already storin up my first years insurance money, and once i get a solid job, the money for the car itself. I know for a fact i am gettin a '00 ford explorer 4dr, there is a man selling several (like 8!) so i'll grab the black one when the money is right. Due to my inability to use the SSA search feature (i'm guessing it's the school computers) could anyone either post a link to another thread, or a simple diagram on how to do so? *the tech guy at our school screwed up yesterday and programmed all sites not relating to school stuff (search engines too, once an non related search was given) to be locked automatically . it turned out his parameters were much too vague . Heys guys I will be building my sub box for 2-15inch NS subs come this summer and I had a quick question. first of all here is my box. see how the subs are firing DOWN and the full weight of the subs is on that one board, well i am going to need to support that board somehow. Hello, I'm getting a new system, and I need some help please. All I need is a sub(s) an amp, and the wiring. I'm building the enclosure, and I already have a HU. My budget is ~$600, and my goal is to have a system that pounds really hard I have a 2000 Crown Vic Police Interceptor, so trunk space isn't an issue. At first I was considering 1 18", but I changed my mind because I don't want to fill my entire trunk w/ the enclosure First, would 1 12", or 1 15" be enough for a Crown vic since it's a large car? Has anybody heard the audioque hdc3 woofers?I got a audioque 2200 amp from a friend and i wanted to know if 2 12'inch hcd3 woofers could get loud off of it?Do they reccomend sealed or ported?

I am rebuilding my system and am going to start with my front stage. I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe and listen mostly to rock, rap, and trance. It will be a daily driver and I am focused on SQ for the time being. I will be purchasing a pxa-h701 so I can run a 3 way active front stage and sub if I have the need to. I am also taking into consideration a 2 way front if that will work better. I have decided on kicks for the highs and mids, and the door for the midbass, but they will be crossed low. how many batteries would u recommend for a sundown 3500d saz pushing 2 15" xcon's and a 100.4 saz for mid's and highs?

What amp would put out more watts.The saz 1000 or the audioque 1200 taking it that sundown puts out more than rated.Its on stock electrical

my question is which subwoofer would be better for me the ssa xcon or the sundown nightshade,my setup will be running off a saz 3500.Now i have heard the xcon`s there great woofers but i have never heard the nightshades.Its a dodgr charger daily driver.It will be 12 inch woofers unless i can squezze 15`s in my trunk..Thanks for any help.

I dont know any thing about crunch . it has 4 40 amp fuses. i have herd people say THE crunch has stepped up there game . its does one ohm , and it says its a monster . i havent read to much bad about it . does anybody know whats up with this amp. any help will help. thanks

My friend is deciding on an 18 for his van, and i told him i'd help him out by buying his 15's he has just chillin. They are Fusion Powerplant series, the older green ones, that are 450rms. I looked all over and i just couldnt find anymore info on the old models; does anyone have any experience with these subs? I am looking to make an spl (burp) setup for my moms hatchback. I would either get a AQ2200D or a Sundown 2000D. Bell's ringing, if any info is needed, just let me know.

I recently installed an inexpensive amp (Pyramid 4 channel 1600w) for the 4 mids and highs but now have a noise when ever I turn up the gains of this amp. I have a noise filter on the positive lead to the radio but still have this. Can this be from the cheap amp or the Iraggi alternator? It was not there before. Any ideas??? Thanks, JR

Ok i ve been out of car audio , and i know how much stuff changes. I want to buy some subs to run at 2 ohm's to the kicker zx750.1d . I really want to run all kicker . I also would like to keep it under 200 bucks . I do have a cadence amp that will do 1 ohm 600 rms which match the subs i have now,(alpine type rs d4s). But i think that the kicker amp with a set of kicker subs would hit harder . I have posted alot about this, so i nail it down to get some kicker subs , or keep my cadence and run it at 1 ohm to my alpines . Thanks everybody how has answerd my pass post and this one . yall helped me nail it down .
