Hey guys, I have friend who is just about to get a car (Acura TL, the older model, like 2004 maybe) and wants to put a system in it. He has about $1K to spend after setting aside some for wiring/installation of the electronics and some for MDF for the sub enclosure. He already has some JBL components for the front stage (not sure the model, but 70 watts RMS), so thats taken care of and I don't think he really cares about rear stage. So that makes $1000 for: Head Unit- ??? any ideas? Mid/High amp- Rockford Fosgate P400-2, Sundown SAX-125.2, Sundown SAX-50.4, others??? Sub Amp- Sundown SAZ-1000D, others? I figure thats probably a good amount of power to start him out with S…

Ok i read up on my kicker 750.1 , and people on the web said they are running it at 1 ohm . I also know that kicker says it ca only do 2 ohms. how safe is this? If by chance i can run this amp at 1 ohm ,which would be better . a cadence txa 750.1 d, or the kicker. also i can run the kicker at 4 ohms and it will be 375 rms, on the other hand i can run the cadence at 1 ohm . Now being new to cadence is it even worth messing with. because i have 2 of the same amps and i cn strap them together to get 1200rms at 2ohms . Or should i get some subs that come out at 2 ohms to work with the cadence. or just sell everything and start over. my subs are alpine type r's dual 4s. Help

  12. Ok i know the kicker amp shouldnt do 1 ohm, but i have been doing some reading and they say it can be ran at 1 ohm. When i say they i mean other users of this amp online. I did hook it up at 1 ohm and it did fine until i turned up the gain and bass boost. But with the cadence amp it runs fine no problems. It doesnt even get hot. So what i would like to know is should i run my kicker at 1 ohm, and play with fire. Or should i play it safe and run the cadence? out of the 2 amps which would give the best sound? and how is cadence as a amp i never had one before?

Ok this is a continuation of another thread that was being hijacked. So I thought I would create it here. What? No way...... they ask u what drivers u have in the rear and u dont have any? Man thats hard to believe... but maybe thats cuz I am not properly sound deadened? I think that would make a huge difference. People usually say "hey are your rear speakers working?" cuz all the sound is coming from my front components. And there is nothing in the rear doors. I just want the people in the rear to hear as good as us in the front and I thought that wasn't possible without having some rear fill. But I dunno... If what you say is true, then I would be happy to not have an…

I've been looking at some enclosures on ebay, most of time you find yourself looking at shit. I then look at some enclosures from sonix not sure maybe mistaken. They have some decent looking builds, I was wonder if anyone has ever purchased one?. They have a box intended for a lot of the RE's but I was thinking of placing my SSD in one of them, for the time being. Any Ideas... I wouldn't mind going with Fisher Customs, since they're based out of Louisiana... but these enclosures have a pretty nice price not that I remember how much Fisher charges but yeah... any info.. and ideas would help. I am not making my own enclosure.. just to have that in the clear.

I am asking if a big car (ex: full size station wagon) or a small car (ex: 1990 vw golf 2-door) is better for bass? I am talking about the full bass spectrum 20hz-100hz. I always thought a bigger car was better because it takes about 8-10 feet for 20hz to fully produce, but it always seems a lot of people think a small car would be the loudest, so can you clarify this for me and others.

Some kid was talking smack the other day about my choice of audio equipment. I proceeded to laugh in his face. He mentioned a brand called VIBE made in the UK. I never heard of the brand. I was just wondering what they are all about and if they are a good speaker. Also wondering where I could find a price list. Here is the company's website. Been having a hard time locking in a sub stage. Was all set on the AQ HDC312 D2 to run off a MB Quart DSC2000.1D, when I decided that it was not going to be enough. They are great subs that get loud, don't get me wrong. I would recomend them in a heartbeat, but I just don't think I will get what I'm looking for out of them. I am going for a daily ground pounder that gets low, but can still get loud. I believe I have finally found it. Incriminator Audio Death Penalty 12D2 MB Quart DSC2000.1D 2.9^3 Net @ 31Hz This is it! Got everything I am looking for. Killer lows, but still gets loud, and sounds good doing it! You will be glad to know there will be no more this…

I'm an older guy, just turned 40 and have gone through many installs in my earlier years. I've had some good installs by shops and I've had total crap installs. Well I wouldn't say the installs were crap but the bass setup was. I would say the worst problem I have ran into with installs is the box builds were wrong for the speakers of choice. I have always bought quality subs for my installs but often the boxes were build wrong. I've even pissed of installs by telling them to rebuild the box because the bass sucked. That even happened in a Camaro once, where bass should be easy to do. I've also learned that less can mean more too. Subs need plenty of box space. S…
