I have a kenwood excelon x997 comin in as well as 6.5 alpine type r components and a ppi black ice 800.4 as well as all wiring and a ssa dcon 15 hopefully going in a custom built 3.5 cubic foot box now how should I wire the 15 on to the rear channels of the ppi since my dcons are dual 4 ohm

Ok i've heard of this problem before: everytime my amp gets power and turns on (when i turn my key to acc or further) my subwoofer makes a small popping sound. I saw that installing an inline remote switch on the remote wire would do the trick. Will this work and can anyone give me a link to a nice and simple one please? And also is this a threat to the integrity to my subwoofer because if it is i have to make sure i do this ASAP.? Thanks

Well im new to car audio, and have been wanting to install a sub along with a new head unit replacing the stock one I have. After hours of looking around and asking I've finally come this being the starters for my first install 1 15" ssd dual 2 ohm & copper coil Sundown SAE/SAZ-1000D Pioneer DEH-P7000BT its a budget setup for my 1999 mazda protege, and I usually listen to rock and club/house music, and am aiming for an inbtween of sq and spl, yet leaning towards spl. so tell me what you guys think, does it work?

Ok guys im rebuilding. Just wondering what everyone is tuning their Team 15's to. My last enclosure was tuned to 34hz but i never really tried to see what was my lowest reach. Rebuilding for 1 or maybe will use both of my subs. At 5cu. Each. Want to get an idea where to tune, want to see how low i can get. A friend of mine hits 20hz with zv4. Not sure team can get there but i want to try. Any ideas fellas. Thx. (2 team 15's 2 sq 3500's) 10cu. Max aloted space in trunk.

Alright so im getting ready to start my first project on my car and i had a few questions before i ordered everything. 1. on the Big 3 is it okay to use my alternator case as an engine ground for the chassis to engine ground run? 2 Im planning on getting an amp for my front stage and an amp for the subs. Im confused on how i would run my 1/0g wire from the battery to both of those amps. do i need one or two runs from the battery?

Since we have had a ever changing rep for PB and only short flurries of posting in here, and still no link or recigntion from the home site the Powerbass forum is in danger of staying. I am not going to delete any topics or posts, but I cannot support a company if they are not going to support their forum. So if members here want to keep the PowerBass forum up, and I know there are a good handful of die hard PB people, then someone needs to get a hold of a new representative from PB to moderate this forum. My e12 came in the mail today (sweet sub btw!) so I put it in my custom sub box in the car to see how it looks (2.00cuft tuned 32hz) and the sub hole is sliiiightly too small (won't fit completely flush). Any ideas on how to make this work? I suppose sanding down the hole till the sub can fit flush. What would be the easiest and safest way to get the sub to fit? I know for sure that I want to use this box, so another box isn't an option. (paid $120 for box) they even said oversized subs may require slight mod to box. I'm a little upset though that the sub won't fit. But any ideas please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Im picking up a new 2012 Subaru Impreza Sport Limited hatcback tomorrow or Thursday. Getting it loaded with nav, so I dont want to swap out the HU. Never did any audio stuff with a stock HU, so not sure what I should get. Do I get line out converters, or 3way crossover? I was looking at the Lanzar Vibe X6, for $35. Wondering if its cheap for a reason. Im going to be swapping out the front speakers with Crescendo CCX65s, filling in the rear with Crescendo Pro Audio mids, and want to put my Havoc 12 in the back. I have a MBQuart ONX 4.80 and 1500.1D (plan to get the new Crescendo 1100C4 at some point). Might also run XST2 super tweeters as well if they will fit in the dash…

Just bought another truck to mess around with and looking into doing a blowthrough. I figured if I'm doing a blowthrough I wanted to do 4 15s. I'm gonna purchase a h/o alt of course. My first option is 4 sundown sa 15s running off of a crescendo bc3500d or a sundown saz 2500d. Looking to only spend about $800 on the amp. Would the crescendo out do the saz for the same dollar pretty much? 2nd option was to get a lil louder. 4 sundown zv4 15s running off of 2 crescendo bc3500d or 2 saz 2500d. hey guys I'm doing a trunk build with Subs forward and port to sealed off well my question is my seat don't fold down I took it out and behind the seat there is an x frame metal from going in the trunk so does that give strength to car or can I cut it off need help

Ive been looking into subs for a few months now and i still dont understand alot of it. just got my liscence and am bound to get a car soon. basically i want something that would be really really loud but i dont have unlimited money. i litsen to pretty much all rap and hip-hop. i was lookin at getting one 15" btl cause it seems like one of the best out there. if i were to get this what would you recomend as far as an enclousure and amp and anything else. if you think theres a better sub or something different i should get im up for all suggesrtions. thanks in advance

Some of this was leftover in a subwoofer enclosure that came as part of my interior swap. 4 pairs of wire probably about 18 gauge braided, no outer jacket. i was wondering if it is something they did by hand at the shop or if i can buy a roll?

Because i'm always changing my mind and many other reasons. I'd really like to start getting into designing boxes. building them is just a matter of putting a cutsheet togther and building. but the designing part obviously is key. i have a mac just fyi so idk what programs to use but i dont know a thing about designing. tips and tricks? id like to know what program to use what major things to take into consid. what specs of the sub matter anything else you wanna suggest! lol

, pic of box ok so im building my new box, its going to house 2 15 inch Fi SSD's. Im putting a plexiglass window on the front and need some pointers on how to flush mount it. I have some ideas but dont really know what would be the best way. I will be using 3/4 inch MDF, and the window will be 3/4 inch think 12x24. Any pointers? thanks, in advanced

Well i'm new here and i'm looking on oppions for a new system this is wut i am comming off of 2 db drive platinum 15's dual 4's seal box running off an auttek 1500.1 mx amp.. sold that becuse they were both nothing but problems no for the doors i had a shop but in the only comps that they had which were the mtx 6600 series 6.5 in front n rear which the rear r suposed to be 5.25's well long story short all the tweeter burnt up but one and one 3 door speakers work. they are running off an autotek 480sx amp ok this is wut i have been looking at so far with subs 1 18 inch Eclipse SW9182Pro tc built donno wut amp i would need for that 2 mag 15's off and ia 20.1 2 arc aduio 1…
