Sold my Sundown Audio SA-10's and looking at upgrading to a single 12" or 15" SSA Zcon. Not sure I can fit 4 cubes for the 15, but can probably fit in 3 cubes. What would be louder, the 12" be in 2.5 cubes or the 15" in 3 cubes? Either sub would be ran off a Sundown Audio saz2500d.

Hey guy does anyone know how many cube you can get in an extended cab range 97. I'm thinking about buying one but don't know if I can get my 2 21 dp's in there.? Any advice would be great.

I have an Xpress Capacitor(new) I'm trying to install and it's not quite working. I charged it correctly but when I measure it with a voltmeter, it only measures 3.5V I tried to install it anyways, hoping that it will charge the rest by itself. So I hooked it up right next to the amp. The digital readout doesn't display. I followed the instructions and it doesn't work. I asked a friend and he said I should try hooking up a remote wire to the cap. Any ideas?

dude is asking 190 that include the box. the amp i have right now is a alpine m850 750rms@2ohm,500rms@4ohm. think it can push the sub? or should i just buy a 10 or 12 RL-i sub?

I recently installed an inexpensive amp (Pyramid 4 channel 1600w) for the 4 mids and highs but now have a noise when ever I turn up the gains of this amp. I have a noise filter on the positive lead to the radio but still have this. Can this be from the cheap amp or the Iraggi alternator? It was not there before. Any ideas??? Thanks, JR

I'm at a crossroads. I just effed up the box I'd been working on for my older XXX 12 so before I start on a new box I figured I'd get some opinions. I'm redoing the system for the 2nd time. The front stage is purchased: the CDT ES-02s are here and the ES-06+s are on their way. My options for power on them are a 225 HCCA bridged on each midbass and a 225 in stereo to the mid/tweets or the Son of Frank running the whole setup. Probably go with the latter for simplicity and because the amp is awesome. The dilema is with the sub stage. Right now I have the '03 XXX 12 in D2 config, a trio of 10W6s and a quartet of Assassin 8s at my disposal. For power I have a PG MS-2…

Hey... I might have found an 8W7 that could fit in my budget...however, I've got a question. Do JL's recommended enclosures work well at home? I've heard they're optimized for in-vehicle cabin gain. If so, does anyone have recommendations for enclosures (sealed or bass reflex) for this little beast? Thanks in advance.

So i've got an Fi SSD15 in a 3 cube box @ 37hz. sounds really awesome and clean on the lows, up to about 55hz. there seems to be a massive hole in the bass response between 60-70hz. I have the LPF at around 110hz because despite what i hear most people cross their subs at, mine just gets louder and louder and plays clean up to that spot. there's no apparent cancellation when i open the trunk, the woofer seems to play all the way from 30-100hz effortlessly and with a fairly transient response. the thing is that its in a sub UP port back configuration, and there only about 3-4 inches of clearance between the subwoofer cone and the roof of the trunk. so i hit a bump today on the highway and my front speakers cut out and stopped working for like 5 seconds then they came back in. there all stock. an i have a sony head unit. im guessing a cable came loose in the back of the HU?

I an almost ready to purchase my pair of 18 in zcons. FTW! I'm still debating on what amp(s) to use for them. Any thoughts? Opinions? Statements? Etc? I'm thinkin SAZ 4500 if I can find one used. Maybe even Crescendo 's line but I haven't seen what they have out recently. I don't do competitions, this setup is just for show and enjoyment. But I want some bang in my car. Since we have had a ever changing rep for PB and only short flurries of posting in here, and still no link or recigntion from the home site the Powerbass forum is in danger of staying. I am not going to delete any topics or posts, but I cannot support a company if they are not going to support their forum. So if members here want to keep the PowerBass forum up, and I know there are a good handful of die hard PB people, then someone needs to get a hold of a new representative from PB to moderate this forum. I am not going to keep doing it and 3 months later that rep is gone. Find a PB rep and I will keep the forum up!

I have a buddy that has a Bonneville with 2 15" Memphis power reference subs and a crappy "1920 watt" power akustik amp. He is trying to upgrade to either 2 better 15s or 3 12s... but he only wants to spend $1000. Do you guys think he could buy something louder than what he already has for that much?(he only needs subs and amp)

Im picking up a new 2012 Subaru Impreza Sport Limited hatcback tomorrow or Thursday. Getting it loaded with nav, so I dont want to swap out the HU. Never did any audio stuff with a stock HU, so not sure what I should get. Do I get line out converters, or 3way crossover? I was looking at the Lanzar Vibe X6, for $35. Wondering if its cheap for a reason. Im going to be swapping out the front speakers with Crescendo CCX65s, filling in the rear with Crescendo Pro Audio mids, and want to put my Havoc 12 in the back. I have a MBQuart ONX 4.80 and 1500.1D (plan to get the new Crescendo 1100C4 at some point). Might also run XST2 super tweeters as well if they will fit in the dash…

what kind of meter do you guys use? i know termlab is the one but....i dont have $650 to spend on a spl meter but i wasnt sure of a meter that gives me a good estimate on what my car is doing without breaking the bank

So i really am stumped, i dont know how to start my install. I am putting a 15" Fi BTL in my 06 4Runner. For an amp im deciding between an audioque 2200D or an Sundown 1500D, which would be more suited for my car, its battery is 12.8v and the alt puts out a wopping 75. I assume il need to prob get better electrical, i will do the big 3 in 0ga but i dont know if itll help. So basicly i dont know where to start, should i buy subs first or amp or both, Or even wire, i assume i need 0ga any other kinds? I am in the process of selling my Planet Audio VX3002, and I will be ordering my Orion 2500D tomorrow. Once I sell the PA, I will order my 400.4. So I'm in the process of saving up cash for my new system. I'm almost 17 and working at mcdonalds bringing in about 150-200 a week. But anyways here we go, I only have room for 1 15 or 2 12's yes I considered taking out my backseats and making a 2 18" wall but that's a little drastic. Thought about going with a BTL 15 and putting it on a 3500 (either aq or sundown) But figured for a little more money I could get 2 12" BTLs and put them on 2 2k's (aq2200 or sundown2000) Both would be going in roughly 4 cubes @ 32 hz Is it worth the extra money for 2 12" btls? Only a little more cone area and 1000 more watts.

I have wanted to get a meter for a while now so I can play with diff box pos. etc... term labs are sooo pricey, do you guys know of any good meters for less. I think shizzon said he is using a Hyperdynamics or something like that....any input is welcome
