you guys think its worth rewiring the factory wires on the door speakers with new 16 or 18g?..do they all have to be wired to the front and then to the back ?..do they have to be wired together on a specific side for noise reduction?..thanks for the help i curently have them wired to the hu will be putting a 100 watts into each of them with a 400.4

Hey guys the SAX1200 has 4awg terminals and I was hoping to run 1/0 for the power & ground. What is the best/most direct way to get the 1/0 to fit in the terminals? Thanks.

im looking at replaceing my stock speakers with a set of CADENCE SOUND SYSTEMS CWM 6 KIT COMPONENT SPEAKER SYSTEM in the front and a set of Cadence Cadence Flash 5.25" 2-way Speakers for the rear the problem is i never heard them or of the name before are they any good? or should i shop around for some kappa's i want a good sound inside the car.

i've been looking all over for them any links to them i seen some audioque but they are like 30 bucks and i think there two long any links would be apreciated!

I've been trying to explain to this guy on EvolutionM.Net that there is no such thing as a break in period for amplifiers. He says the transistor crystal's chemical composition changes slightly since they are made and don't see power until the consumer buys it(I assumed that from a comment or 2 he made). I realized I don't have much factual proof in my handds for my arguement. Are there any tests/ studied someone could point me to to further my side? Chyea! so i wanna look into a nice audio set up for my car but im not 100% sure on what exactly to look for or how it all works really. So im looking to see if anyone can explain or direct me to a website or something that can explain how car audio works. preferably starting from the basics. Something for example would be this: T2-250.1: Continuous Power @ 14.4 V: 175W x 1 @ 4 ohms 250W x 1 @ 2 ohms what does it mean when it says 175w x 1 @ 4 ohms? (Are ohms not resistance and why is there more on something with less watts?) thanks for any help.

hey everyone, i am looking into 2 kicker 12" 4 ohm subs. now the problem is idk what amp to buy because the rating are different for different ohms (i think but i have no idea). what would that be 1 at 2 or 1 at 4, or am i just all mixed up and way off.

Are you all still posting install pics? If so how do I change the size of my pics so that they are smaller in size. Most of the ones that I have are between 600 and 800kb.

OK, my 18 Btl is on its way for my grand am. the alternator is a 105 amp alternator. so im not sure WHAT im going to need, just that most likely i will to power it suffeciently. If so what kind? and What kind of wire, i was told Monster 1/0 Gauge is that correct? thing is not sure if i can run the kicker and have enough power STOCK to handle it, and have enough money…

Buy a sony 12" component sub XSL124P5B and a sony stereo Model #: SON CDXGT320 for around 250$. And then buy four 6x9 pioneer speakers for i dont know how much. Would this system even work ? What would i need? I drive a 2000 f-150 lariot extended cab supercrew. And i am gonna buy at circuit city and i think they have free install near me would this be a total bad idea. i was thinking about music i would play, i mostly play hip-hop and rock so maybe slq? So i was just rear ended 2 hours ago at a red light. I have a 2004 chevy blazer and was the first in my lane at a red light. the guy next to me jumped and the girl behind me floored it in her dodge stratus. When it happened, my door speakers popped and do not work anymore. the fuses are all good, my amp still works as do my subs. So, i'm thinking about buying some raw drivers from Parts express and trying myself at an active 2 way since i have a Pioneer DEH-P880PRS. Anyone have any good suggestions for under $200 total? Basically i'm looking for advice on the best setup I can get for a 98 pontiac grand prix gt four door. Amps, crossovers, subs/boxes, 6x9's, regulators, etc. I listen to every kind of music (besides country) so it's a bit harder to nail down my needs. Basically I want a system I can show off. One that during a show everyone around can here what's playing on my system (and feel it) loud and clear. , pic of box ok so im building my new box, its going to house 2 15 inch Fi SSD's. Im putting a plexiglass window on the front and need some pointers on how to flush mount it. I have some ideas but dont really know what would be the best way. I will be using 3/4 inch MDF, and the window will be 3/4 inch think 12x24. Any pointers? thanks, in advanced

Ok, within the next month or so I plan on getting a car stereo for my new car. I'm probably getting 4 alpine type component speakers, tweeters and cross overs with either a kenwood double din deck or a Power Acoustik touch screen deck to power the speakers. Now for the subs, right now Its between Fi and Dc, I'm leaning towards Fi but I'm just wondering what is the difference really between the Bl and the Dc?

Alright so i was down at the mall and took a look at the brand new 2012 Scion tc. I must say it looks beautiful, not too sure on how it performs or any issues that they have but it looked CLEAN. Im only 19 so its not like ill be able to afford one anytime soon, but it looks like such a nice car to wall . Kind of looks like a Honda CRX, but bigger and more luxury oriented. Hello. I have two Sundown SA-12 d4 and a saz1500d v.3 and im having a little problem with what gauge wire i should be using. right now i would like to run it at 1ohm but im probably going with the 4ohm hook up. I still have my stock battery and alt and im not trying to run them down anytime soon. some people have also told me i can run them at 1ohm since i dont run my system all the time but im still a little sketchy saz1500dv.3- 1ohm =1500watt rms 4ohm=530watt rms

can any one help and give me the equations to calculate the box airspace and tuning on the box ... bcause i want to learn a very accurate way to design boxes like calculating them by pen and paper without using a software. PLEASE HELP
