so i was originally going to go with a blowthrough design, but have been reading other build logs and posts and came up with a new design. don't quite know if it is still a blowthrough design or not, but this is what i got. the plan is to take out the rear window of the truck, seal it with the rubber boot replacement to this enclosure in the bed of the truck. the view that you see is what will be facing the cab of the truck. the bottom wall under the space for the rear window should come up to the line above where it says 'KonFUSEed', the rest will be open. i was thinking of getting a piece of plastic trim to go around the outside and still doing the bottom half in bedli…

Well first sorry for making a somewhat new thread, I thought it wasnt reasonable to keep my questions going on the Fi Technical zone. Maybe I can get more help here I have a problem which Im trying to solve. Basically, Im trying to set my gains right, however, I dont have DMM or O-Scope so I have to do it by ear. Pioneer TS-W3002D4 @ 2ohms 1k RMS 12" Sundown 2000D @ 2ohms 1k RMS Rockford Fosgate 4-gauge kit Factory HU using RCA with Line Output Converter. Stock amp, no Big 3 No Bass Boost on Amp. No Bass Boost on Headunit. Everything Flat.

I need a sub to go with my new home audo setup. I'm wondering what are some good pre-built subs? I guess I could make one but I've been really lazy lately.....lol. What do you guys have with your home audio setup? budget is.....well under 500.....we will go from there.

Hey guys! I’m wanting to turn one of my car subs into a home sub just for music and movies. I was wondering what’s the best way to go about this? I don’t have a box for the sub so I guess id have to get one made from someone off of craigslist. What kind of specs should it have or anything that I should have required done to the box? Such as a port & air space. I’m not sure how either sub would work with the receiver I have. So please let me know which sub you think would be best match for the receiver. Just loud enough to get some crisp base thumping. Ive never bought or had subs in my car before. let me know how the specs of the subs and amp stack up, and if theyre worth the price. -thanks!

Just bought my first classic car. 1966 Cadillac DeVille drop top. Just had a JL Audio system installed. 1 12" W7 in thr massive trunk. She rattles like crazy. What is the best sound deadener for the money that wont damage my vehicle and that can be removed sometime down the road? This car is original and worth money so I dont want something that will ruin the vehicle paint. Thanks

well i just got the Alpine 9831 body wiring and all, except for the FACEplate, i powered it up with a regulator i have and the hear the cd player try to scran like noremal but i was wondering if it would come on with my 9815 face? or do i have to wiat and get the 9831 face?

Hello all, I am wiring up two 1ohm DVC 12" subwoofers. I am putting both subwoofers in a sealed box, each of them has their own compartment and terminal. I am running a Sundown SAZ-1500D and want to wire it at 1ohm so I get ~750 to each sub. I want to double check to make sure the sub is wired correctly. I found the following diagram. Two 1ohm DVC Wiring Following the diagram, I ran one piece of wire from one positive to the negative on the other side of the sub. I then connect the terminal wires to the other neg/pos on the subs. I also do this for the other sub. Then from both terminals, I run their own wire to the Sundown which has space for two pos/neg i…

This is just something i have been wondering since i found out how a ported box works. I know that IB separates the front wave from the back. And I know that a port acts somewhat like another speaker above and at tuning. But what if you were to build a ported box, and seal off the port from the front wave entirely. like, the woofers face forward, and the port faces the trunk but you seal off the baffle from the trunk entirely. I googled it, but came up with nothing.

I have a 2005 tahoe My set up so far is 2 15" hcca, crescendo bc2000, 1 cresecendo logic f-31 bat, 2 runs of O gauge cca from sky high. The ? Is should I buy another battery logic f-31 or save up for a 270 mechmen alt. my set up is at 2 ohms.

I am planning on getting 2 15" BL's with about 8 cubic feet of volume in a ported box to about 30 hz (I love lows, the lower the better). So how do you guys think this will perform? Also I have heard great things about Sundown and that they make great amps so what model amp or amps would fit these subs good, and what kind of electrical and front stage upgrades am I looking at to make this sound great? Also I have heard of the Q's hitting upper 140's with just one 15, so would this be that much louder if it is a good setup?
