im still learning a bit here with the audio but im curious as to how to match the ohms so im gonna use an example then ask the question. lets say i have these subs.... Two 10" 1200watt subs at 4 ohms and Two 12" 1300watt subs at 4 ohms Now does that mean i need 1 amp with 4 ohms with a splitter that goes into the subs? or would i need 2 amps both with 4 ohms each? or is there something else i can do?? and the amps need to put out enough watts to match the subs right? thanks in advance for any help.

i got a hdc4 18. basically brand new. i traded my box my buddy built for me. dude said it had a blown coil on it. and when we tested it out was perfectly fine. so i got a steal. i drive a Ford Taurus and the trunk space for a 18 would be my the whole trunk. i just want some opinions on if you guys would sell it. trade it or recone it to a 15.

I'm going to be running a Sundown Audio SAE-1000D and an SAX-100.4. My stock alternator is 135A, I've done the big three with 1/0 gauge, I've got a 1/0 gauge run to the trunk, and I've got a group 65 Duralast Gold battery under the hood... Do you think I'll need a second battery or any other electrical system changes?

I just got a Velleman HPS10 and I have no idea how to use it. All I want to do it set my gains on my 2 amps so they don't clip. Can anyone give me a step by step description? Thanks.

So I am going to do the big 3 on my 2001 Jetta. I am going to be using 4awg. When you guys upgrade the alt. to the battery positive is it a straight run, from alt. to battery? I dont know much about cars but my cousin said the the wire goes from the alt. to the starter than to the battery, is it like this with all cars?

Hey guys! I’m wanting to turn one of my car subs into a home sub just for music and movies. I was wondering what’s the best way to go about this? I don’t have a box for the sub so I guess id have to get one made from someone off of craigslist. What kind of specs should it have or anything that I should have required done to the box? Such as a port & air space. I’m not sure how either sub would work with the receiver I have. So please let me know which sub you think would be best match for the receiver. Hey so I see a lot of people saying "my car peaks at 54 hertz" and I'm just wondering how exactly you find your peak frequency for your specific application. Is it something that needs to be measured using some kind of tool or can it be done by ear or some other method. Also assuming my peak frequency was 48 would you expect to find the frequencies surrounding that range playing audibly louder? If they do play louder how do you combat such a hump as to improve your SQ? My peak frequency is not something I absolutely need to know but it'd be cool to find out right and it might help in making some changes to my system.

hey everyone, i am looking into 2 kicker 12" 4 ohm subs. now the problem is idk what amp to buy because the rating are different for different ohms (i think but i have no idea). what would that be 1 at 2 or 1 at 4, or am i just all mixed up and way off.

Here is the tech/how-to link that on here that I will refer to later: Big 3 How-to I did the big 3 today in my car, (see sig for equipment/etc.), and I noticed something odd, (to me). A week or two before I actually did the upgrade, I had checked my voltage with a DMM for shiggles up front and on the amp. 12.5. Today after the upgrade, the voltage was 14.4ish, (moved around a little; no more than a tenth of a volt), front and back on amp. Both readings were taken with the car idling. This is good right? This was supposed to happen? Another question; on the link it says to fuse the alternator to battery positive wire with a fuse the same size as the factory fuse. I …

I have a 2005 tahoe My set up so far is 2 15" hcca, crescendo bc2000, 1 cresecendo logic f-31 bat, 2 runs of O gauge cca from sky high. The ? Is should I buy another battery logic f-31 or save up for a 270 mechmen alt. my set up is at 2 ohms.

The remote mounted dial on a big sub power amp? Never had a amp with this? Isn't it the same to just turn the sub up or down threw the head unit? Thank you guys
