I am currently looking at 2 15' SXs $580 both (with shipping) or 2 18 SXs $640 both (with shipping) or a 18' MT $525(with shipping) from the RE side... www.reaudio.com or A 15' Mag www.stereointegrity.com $549 MSRP or A 15' DP www.incriminatoraudio.com $599 or A RL-s 15' S4 www.soundsplinter.com $579 Also I am not sure about these 2 because they are like +$1000... for 1 and I don't know... Dont think it worked, so go to http://s294.photobucket.com/albums/mm87/MV...=Portlength.jpg. The red line is the right way of calculating port length, right? When i calculate it, i get 18.5" total port length, but when the RE Enclosure calculator does it, it gets 19.625. It can't get the double baffle, so shouldn't the RE calculator come up with 17.75" of port length? I just want to make sure that i'm right or that i'm wrong, 'cause i dont see how it could be that far off.

So last summer I was on an unknown mic at a local audio shop and hit 148.2 with my 15" Fi Q on 1500 watts. I knew that was way too high so I had always been curious what id get on the TL. Today I found out that number is a 142.26 in the dash with driver window down, and 140.xx sealed up. I dont think thats too bad considering what my sub has been through... First I blew it so i tore it apart, recoiled it, and patched the spiders Then the magnet cracked/shifted so I shimmed it and epoxied the hell out of it Then the cone blew apart, epoxied once again Ran off a clarion dpx11500 (1500 rms at 1 or 2 ohm) at 1 ohm with the gain about 1/3 up, peaked at 36hz in my 4 cubes …

Installed all of my wiring today, and I had a bit of a problem. I have the gain at about 1/4 until tomorrow, when I'll set it properly. The sub is getting power, I know that for a fact. When music is playing, I can hear a slight murmur of the beat. The bass remote to my AQ2200D constantly displays the red "clipping" light, but I find it odd that the "power" light is not lit up. I'm almost certain from viewing similar problems that the responses I will get are, "quadruple check your wiring!!", but I did that before it all was installed. If there are no other options, I'll pull everything out and check once more, but I doubt this is the case. Does anyone know a possible pro…

Well I got a second battery it's a duralast gold from autozone it says wet cell sealed, I have a second space under my hood where my truck uses the same body as the diesel but is a gas burner. I would have to custom fab a bracket to hold it there, but could I just use it inside my truck? Is that safe I've heard they vent hydrogen on non sealed I just want to blow my self up haha is anyone else done this?

  8. So Ive been sittin on my fully loaded BTL 18" since christmas I wasn't able to afford the electrical upgrades to power this sub..Well fast forward to now. I'm now financially stable enough to afford the amp,batteries,etc... I want to go with a Rockford T30001BD. I'm thinking of running a 240 amp alt, dual optimas one upfront and one in the rear, and 2 runs of 0/1 gauge. I have a few questions on doing this correctly. Do I do 2 runs from the front batt to the rear and then then run a single one to the amp?? And do I fuse each run of 0/1 gauge as well.?? I'm kinda lost when it comes to supplying the correct amount of power to the Amp. thanks matt

well ive had my sub since oct. and have been very happy with it untill recently it just seems like it was deff. louder a couple weeks ago. so i got the sub and pulled it out of my box to give it a once over beccause i dont have any meters of any kind. so i looked through the vents at the coil and it looked ok i guess was not all black. when you push on it, it make no scratching noise or any thing but seems alot looser than when new? and on the back of the magnet it has this (pit type things on it kinda looks like rust but its not brown its silver) stuff i got a pic but dont kow how to get it here its saved to my pictures can i get some help

I was talking to a friend of mine earlier who is a frequent SSA user, and he suggested i ask the community. So here's what I want. In general, I want my car to sound as clear and full as my home theater system (5.1 with a Polk CS1, pair of Monitor40's, and bookshelf speakers in the back with a Polk 10" sub). It was suggested to me to get a pair Bravox components (here: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/Bravox-Audio-CS60K-Components.html ), but I like having full "surround sound", and i would like to have a pair of 6x9's as well, which my friend suggested were unnecessary. (I also drive a lot of people to and from places so it'd be nice to allow them to lis…

Hello all, I am wiring up two 1ohm DVC 12" subwoofers. I am putting both subwoofers in a sealed box, each of them has their own compartment and terminal. I am running a Sundown SAZ-1500D and want to wire it at 1ohm so I get ~750 to each sub. I want to double check to make sure the sub is wired correctly. I found the following diagram. Two 1ohm DVC Wiring Following the diagram, I ran one piece of wire from one positive to the negative on the other side of the sub. I then connect the terminal wires to the other neg/pos on the subs. I also do this for the other sub. Then from both terminals, I run their own wire to the Sundown which has space for two pos/neg i…

I'm going to be in the market for a new sub soon, I have a 18" bl rite now, but it is time for a change. I have a sundown saz 1500d, and pioneer avhp5000dvd. Im about to buy some kinetic 1800s and anew front stage. It is all in a 2000 GMC Jimmy..... But ihave narrowed it down to 4 subs. NS 18, rl-P 18, XCON 18, or a BTL 18 . I want a decent ground pounder. Since I only have about 1500 watts that sorta cancels out the BTL.I wasn't really wanting another Fi that much anyway because since I got mine it seems like everyone around here has one and I like to be DIFFERENT...... It will be in 7-10 cubes @ 28-32hz …

so i was originally going to go with a blowthrough design, but have been reading other build logs and posts and came up with a new design. don't quite know if it is still a blowthrough design or not, but this is what i got. the plan is to take out the rear window of the truck, seal it with the rubber boot replacement to this enclosure in the bed of the truck. the view that you see is what will be facing the cab of the truck. the bottom wall under the space for the rear window should come up to the line above where it says 'KonFUSEed', the rest will be open. i was thinking of getting a piece of plastic trim to go around the outside and still doing the bottom half in bedli…
