I have read a little bit up on XS batteries and Mechman alternators But on Mechmans webite, when i enter all my car info (Car brand-Nissan, Model-Altima, Year 2001. Nothing pops up) What are your opinions on what i should need to run Two Sundown SA-12 D4s on a Sundown SAZ-1500D v3 at 1ohm (1500watts) with 1/0 Xs flex wire?

Just wondered if anyone else has gotten any sweet old school amps, subs ect lately. I scored another kicker xs100 yesterday! (Third one ive owned) for a whopping $100. It still has all the terminal screws, couldnt believe it. Unfortunatly not a first gen like my other two were but i want to post pics and i cant! Aaarggghhh!

Ok, here is my dilemma. I currently have a ford ranger. Later this year I will be pickin up a chevy silverado (4 door). my wife has given me a choice with the two. I could either do a fiberglass lid on the Silverado and do a blowthrough with, perhaps 3 15" BTL's or a can put a camper shell on the ranger and build a wall with something like 2 18" BTLs. The Silverado will be my daily driver, so I think she is wanting me to do the system in that and makin the ranger for nothing but haulin stuff. I was curious as to what you guys would do. I am in a split decision between the two and am hopin your opinions could help me make a better decision. THANX

Ok so, I have 2 hdc3 18's and 2 bc2ks. The bc2k's will be running at .6 each. I am planning to run them at 14cubes at 36hz. I want it to have just a tad more lower end. Will running about 2500rms per sub be ok for that box size?

See I got my own single Fi BTL12 last year.Now I'm working on how to compete in my hometown sound chellenge.I found out that its gonna be a lil bit diffrent getting a DB measurement when you pop up the trunk.Back in my country,that's how we do it.I know its kinda idiot try to get the DB reading while you opened up your trunk.. I just won my 1st SPL challenge in own place..they got 2 diffrents category that is (internal & External) during the the internal way I hit 133.6DB and 127.7DB for the external...I'm using the 1.4CF for my enclosure...can somebody help me with the box enclosure so I can reach higher DB for both category? coz I'm ready to take on any battle aft…

So my headunit Pioneer DEH-3200UB only has 2 sets but I plan on using a 4 ch and a mono block amp and need to know is there a way I can expand it to my needs.

So i really am stumped, i dont know how to start my install. I am putting a 15" Fi BTL in my 06 4Runner. For an amp im deciding between an audioque 2200D or an Sundown 1500D, which would be more suited for my car, its battery is 12.8v and the alt puts out a wopping 75. I assume il need to prob get better electrical, i will do the big 3 in 0ga but i dont know if itll help. So basicly i dont know where to start, should i buy subs first or amp or both, Or even wire, i assume i need 0ga any other kinds? hey everyone, i am looking into 2 kicker 12" 4 ohm subs. now the problem is idk what amp to buy because the rating are different for different ohms (i think but i have no idea). what would that be 1 at 2 or 1 at 4, or am i just all mixed up and way off.

Ok... so when I started this build, it was on a budget and kinda rushed along. My hearing isn't that great anymore after years of drumming in a metal band, so I didn't want to go too far. My current setup is powered by a Kenwood amp pushing 40x4 and 300x1 at 4ohm. I really love it....but since installing these 2 Dcons, my front stage just ain't hangin. Let me say.... I just want a very nice system for starters and not have to do much adding on for the future....
