I have 2 12" 2xl's and a Powerbass XA-1500d in a sealed enclosure ( getting a bigger box i think its 2 small). Its sounds pretty damn good overall clean tight bass. I had a slight issue with the bass boost being as high as the gain (at half) and the amp going into protect but other than that no issues and everthing sounds good. As soon as I get my other box I'll post a vid.

  3. I have temporary bass right now that I paid about $60 bucks for, its a alpine type e in a pre-fab truck box that is about 1cuft and ported to a high frequency I am guessing, its running on my zx750 pretty strongly. Like expected there is absolutely no bottom end compared to my ssd 15 lol, I wanna order another type e for 60 and make my own box this week. Would these sound decent with about 2.5 cuft each and tuned to about 34 hz?

I've been working with bass box pro 6 for probably the past 3 hours or so.... and i just cannot figure it out. I guess its just going to be said that i wont ever be able to know how to properly configure a box lol. For some reason i just cannot grasp the concept/doings of the box programs. So what i need from someone knowledge in the area of box making is, for someone to design a box for me. I havent taken the measurements as of yet, but when I do, i just want to know if someone will be able to help me lol. Here are my plans for the box. 2 15" RE XXX's. Ported. Once i get the measurements, hopefully we'll be able to figure out some numbers figured out on how big the box…

i was looking into buying a 15" Fi ssd then i had my eyes on the 18" but i just dont have the trunk space for the recommended 6-10cubes ported. is there anyone out there that has a box under specs and its good or should i just stick with the 15" or what. my trunk is only about 35 inches wheel well to wheel about 16" high and roughly 30 some inches deep....i would have to have the sub facing upwards....so not much room to work with...tell me what you guys think. BTW i know steve meades box for his 18"s is only 20 cubes for 4 18"s so that means he only has about 5 cubes per sub. idk gimme some info and feedback please.

I have a 2006 Toyota Corolla Type S and I was wondering if any of you have the same car and have a system in it or have seen a system in a Corolla Type S? I need some ideas on setups. Right now I have a Batcap 800 in the trunk along with Dynamat in the trunk and under and on top of the rear deck, a JBL GTO 1200.1 II amp powering 2 Orion HP 12s sealed in 1.2 cubes each. So far I'm upgrading my amp to a Sundown Audio SAZ-1500D and upgrade my Batcap to a solenoid and a Stinger SP1000 battery. I already have a 70 amp alternator so I don't feel the need to upgrade my electrical system. As for subs I don't know yet. So far I may want a pair of SS RL-p 12s sealed in 1.35 c…

  11. I recently put a system in my regular cab Silverado, and i am wondering about where to start (general range) for crossover points. I have 2 sundown sd3 10s running off of an NVX1200.1 and a set of SSA Evil 6.5s and Tweeters running off of an NVX 800.4. It is running active off of a pioneer 80prs. Also, is there a general place to start as far as slopes go? 12db or 24db? I know every install is different and people have different tastes but im just looking for a decent place to start from.

Hello guys, Need you advice on my automotive audio issue. I had changed by setup to Zed LEVIATHAN III from Helix and the current speaker are from Seas. So far, i like my current setup compared to the previous which used Morel. However I had encountered whining sound from my tweeter whenever i on my HU or the system. The whining sound was constant. There was no increase in the whinning sound when i increase the accerlator. I encountered this whinning sound after installing Zed LEVIATHAN III. I would like to know if LEVIATHAN user encounter this problem too? I had read through about the write-up about the noises from the speaker. I had done the followings: 1…

Here is the tech/how-to link that on here that I will refer to later: Big 3 How-to I did the big 3 today in my car, (see sig for equipment/etc.), and I noticed something odd, (to me). A week or two before I actually did the upgrade, I had checked my voltage with a DMM for shiggles up front and on the amp. 12.5. Today after the upgrade, the voltage was 14.4ish, (moved around a little; no more than a tenth of a volt), front and back on amp. Both readings were taken with the car idling. This is good right? This was supposed to happen? Another question; on the link it says to fuse the alternator to battery positive wire with a fuse the same size as the factory fuse. I …

Well today sucked! This is some major league BULLCHIT! So my car started dying again. 3 times from coming home to get my mom to follow me to the shop and so within about 15mi of driving it died 3 times. Apparently the system is too much for my car and i can't get a high output alternator because my belt wont be able to handle it... so today the guy at the shop told my mom it'd be best to get rid of my system. now i really don't want to but i guess i should if i dont want my car to die on me constantly :/ . Im going to see if he thinks it can handle a 500-800 watt system because if it can't im gunna be uber pissed. What are some options for subs? I want either 2 12's or 1 …

I was gonna post this in the off topic section, but it's slightly audio related, and i just wanted to ask because it seems ridiculous. The RF 40001bd amp is supposed to be 4k rms at 1ohm, pretty sexy, whatever. If i recall it has ONE set of 1/0ga power and ground terminals. With a fuse rating of 500amps, and knowing that 1/0ga wire has a capacity of ~300amps doesn't that mean they failed? Off the top of my head, the Sundown 4500D has dual power and ground, and for what seems like a good reason. The only solution to this problem i see is to have your amp ridiculously close to your rear battery bank. Just me rambling on, thanks for comments.

Because of the price of the two local audio shops to get a true custom enclosure built, everyone any anyone is getting cookie cutter boxes from them. IE, preprogramed into their saw for their vehicle, or, even cheaper, basically prefab w/o the actualy fabrication. Better than prefab but unless the T/S params lend themselves to the given volume/tuning and the box is tuned to the owners ears, they end up unsatisfied. I've already done a few boxes for people around school and they have been extremely satisfied. I recive complements almost daily on "so and so's" box. But these where mostly close friends and i charged very little. My question is, how much should i charge to ma…

i was kinda surprised today when i was cruisin after work and i decided to play "bass i love you" and on the really really low note it flexed the crap out of my window so when i got home i stood outside the door and i did a little bit of a hairtrick on myself and i dont have very long hair so it wasnt awesome and it wasnt a massive hairtrick but for a single 15 i thought it was sweet! ive got it in a prefab box right now(bad i know) and its on a kicker 1000.1 ( not proud to admit that) and its probably not even getting 1000 watts right now ( clean power anyways) and it did a little hairtrick! have to try it on my girlfriend! its in an 06 chevy colorado crew cab by the way…

I'm at a crossroads. I just effed up the box I'd been working on for my older XXX 12 so before I start on a new box I figured I'd get some opinions. I'm redoing the system for the 2nd time. The front stage is purchased: the CDT ES-02s are here and the ES-06+s are on their way. My options for power on them are a 225 HCCA bridged on each midbass and a 225 in stereo to the mid/tweets or the Son of Frank running the whole setup. Probably go with the latter for simplicity and because the amp is awesome. The dilema is with the sub stage. Right now I have the '03 XXX 12 in D2 config, a trio of 10W6s and a quartet of Assassin 8s at my disposal. For power I have a PG MS-2…
