So I was cruising the eBay (fleebay) and I noticed this 1,050 Line driver and I thought I would ask WHY does it cost so much? sure it looks pretty but does that mean it should cost 1050? is this guy off his rocker or do I just not know enough about line drivers? http://www.ebay.com/itm/130381595024?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_500wt_1413 http://www.sinfoni.com/Accessories/Premier_One/premieroneinfosheet.pdf

Well I've been designing my box for my 2003 ext cab s10. I've decided to do the sub at a 45 degree angle facing the windshield and do the port the same way. The box is 6 ft^3 after all displacements and the port is 80 in^2 tuned to 30 hz so its about 32in long. The port is angles 45 degree off of the baffle board and goes straight down and makes a 90 degree turn and goes across the bottom. Does it have to be angled the same in the bottom of the box like its pictured below? Is that how you would do it?

So far from what I've researched, based on the music I listen to (Rap, ,etal, alternative i.e....Trick Daddy, T.I., Outkast, Linkin Park, Chili Peppers, and everything in between. Lol, all kinds of chit). I want an all around set-up. Not for competing, just good loud sound quality and hard hitting bass. I'm not going to state SPL or SQ because I've learned that these terms can be mis-interpeted by some. Sound quality can be a subjective term and I'm not looking to be burping. This is what I'm planning for my 96 Impala SS: 1 Fi BL 15" 1 Sundown 1500 1 set of Morel Tempo 6.5's in my front doors (Not ready to go active yet) 1 Sundown 100.2 Big 3 240 amp Alt Knuconceptz…

  8. I have a sundown x10 in 2cubic foot box aero port tuned to 32 hz now. Amp is skar sk1500v2 car is 2011 Toyota Camry sub and port are rear facing towards trunk lid about 1foot away. Looking to go with fi ssd fully loaded 10 in same box for better sq and still maintain a nice punch. Would this box be to much for this speaker? I love the x 10 from 32hz to about 45 hzeverything else it seams to struggle with? Would more power be the solution or should I go with something like the fi?

Has anyone ever taken out the backseat of a sedan or coupe in order to make space for an enclosure? This is like a mini-wall type enclosure with two 12s or two 15s, most likely the two 12s going directly behind the front seats. I was wondering if it is worth it, i want to optimize output without having the rear seat distorting the sound waves, and the difficulty of fitting a larger size box within the small trunk opening(going inside an infiniti G35 coupe). Would this be a good idea? I have no need for the backseat, so should i just go with it? Any input would be much appreciated.

Well I know I'm no competitor or anything. Still a learner. I'm still here. Been checking SSA and CA.com occasionally. Been busy with school and working this summer. I'm sorta behind on all the audio gear. I still have my lil 94 GMC Sonoma. Its going to be my project. I just bought an 03 Jeep Liberty Sport. It'll be my daily until my truck is done. The GMC is gunna be my summer truck, but I'm going to do it up like I want to. I don't have my full license yet, but its coming. September 20th is when I'm eligible to get it. And I still got my Mach 5 SPL-12s. There still in the same place they've been since I bought them. Have had them for almost a year. Still no power has we…

I recently had my blazer broken into, had my FI Q's stolen along with the rest of my setup. Found some RE SR's on craigslist for a good price, so I picked 'em up, and got an autotek ss1000.1d to push them. My '06 civic has a really strange dash, and I was wondering what kind of power and sound quality losses I would suffer if I kept it stock instead of installing my Alpine CDA-9883. Also, I was wondering if anyone had any help as to what LOC would give me the least unwanted noise, and how much it would cost to have one professionally installed by a local car audio shop directly to my rear speakers.

Ok starting yesterday my car began to smoke and smell like burning so I popped the hood to find nothing. I noticed that it was coming from the wheel well and ended out figuring out it was a part of some wiring that was melting very badly. It has now made it so my parking break remains on and driving again tonight it began to smell and my ABS light on my car began to flash. Any advice on what it is or what I should do.

I changed up the design on my towers, so I don't have a place to mount / hide the crossovers. The initial design called for them to be placed inside of the cabinets ... in the upper section with the 5.25's and tweets. However, I scrapped that idea to gain more internal volume and pushed the 'back' all the way back so it's flush with the back of the bottom section (think of one solid back ... mind you, I'm sure you've seen the pictures, so no need for me to explain it). Anyway. I need to mount the crossover components on something. I'm not all for a piece of cardboard duct taped to the top or rear. I was thinking of mounting the completed piece to the top each tower, wh…

Can someone please explain to me what would cause a crossover to "blow up", I had the music on 55/62 and was pretty screaming from the tweeters, and then all of a sudden a huge "pop" from the crossover, smoking, doesnt seem like it was the first time, when I first got my other side installed I noticed this fuzzy stuff all over it, but thouhgt nothing of it, same shit was over the crossover when it blew, im ssending them in for warrenty, but I want to know if its my fault at all, or the brand, CDT.

  23. Started by aurora18"s,

I'm having a problem getting a straigh answer on whether or not i can install my two 12" kove subs into my 96 aurora. The problem is I have a factory bosse system with the factory cd changer. According to a few places I've called my subs cannot be added without a new cd player or getting rid of the speakers in the back. I think some of the places are just trying to make me buy a new cd player. I also don't see why I would have to get rid of the back two speakers to add two subs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am wanting to 'build' a center channel for my h/a system. I have a pair of CDT CL-5's 4ohm to use. I am thinking, wiring them to 8ohm and build a small cabinet for them. My question is on the crossover. Is there a xover kit, or a decent xover out there to buy, that I can mount inside the small cabinet, that can handle the 110w my Pioneer VSX puts out? Dont really know what my budget would be, but I surely dont wanna spend too much, or I'd just buy a speaker on ebay or something. I have looked at parts express, and see some 2-ways...I guess I could just use the high pass side of one of those? Or, could it be as simple as just getting some 'bass-blockers' for the…
