My setup for the next season will include: 2 Kicker zx 2500.1 amplifiers wired @ 2 ohm each 2 AudioQue HDC3 12s, d1 vcs Northstar NSB 90 in stock location. 200 amp Alternator, rebuilt intown. I have a box design that I got directly from Steven Sears, whom is the Team Captain of Team High X-cursion. He told me he had someone on his team with 3 10s hitting in the 150s the TL in a Grand Am, and yes I have a Grand Am. He is very knowledgable on trunk vehicles. I plan to only use both kicker amplifiers during shows, and one for daily on a 4 ohm load. I will be selling my 2 audioque sd8s, and when my American Bass 120.1 gets back from being serviced it will be for sale as well…

Well, I Pmed jack frost the other night asking him about home audio. I don't know hardly anything about it other than Klipsch speakers are very good. I myself have klipsch 5.1's for my computer and my dad has about 6 klipsch speakers in the house. Well I was wanting to know what's good to buy for a 5.1 setup? Quick question. I will be running 4 18" BTL's. Upgrade wise, big 3, 300 amp alt, and about 4 kinetik 2400's.....i will be pushing about 12k watts to the subs as it is, roughly 3k each sub, well that is what i plan to push to each at least. I am about 90% positive i will need two alternators, what do you think?

Sony MDR-V700 Pro DJ Remix Use Phenomenal sound clarity for the price, amazing bass response. Sound amazing, and block everything in the outside world out. Great cans for the price ($100) I am about to get an iPod and I will be in the market for some earbuds. Anybody have any suggestions for that?

I was gonna post this in the off topic section, but it's slightly audio related, and i just wanted to ask because it seems ridiculous. The RF 40001bd amp is supposed to be 4k rms at 1ohm, pretty sexy, whatever. If i recall it has ONE set of 1/0ga power and ground terminals. With a fuse rating of 500amps, and knowing that 1/0ga wire has a capacity of ~300amps doesn't that mean they failed? Off the top of my head, the Sundown 4500D has dual power and ground, and for what seems like a good reason. The only solution to this problem i see is to have your amp ridiculously close to your rear battery bank. Just me rambling on, thanks for comments.

How are the RE SR's? i have 4 that i want to put in my 97 S-10 Blazer. My whole system was just stolen. i bought 4 because that's all they had. i intend to do 8 all together. Ported to 35Hz as they suggest. I had 4 Pioneer ts-w306 DVC's and that was LOUD. I want to be louder than that. I went with 10's because the sound cleaner and i can do more of them so the "show" factor will be a little better. And EVERYONE in Lansing Has "4 12's" and i wanted to be different and do 8 10's So what do you think? decent subs? i hope :/

Dont think it worked, so go to http://s294.photobucket.com/albums/mm87/MV...=Portlength.jpg. The red line is the right way of calculating port length, right? When i calculate it, i get 18.5" total port length, but when the RE Enclosure calculator does it, it gets 19.625. It can't get the double baffle, so shouldn't the RE calculator come up with 17.75" of port length? I just want to make sure that i'm right or that i'm wrong, 'cause i dont see how it could be that far off.

  19. I recently put a system in my regular cab Silverado, and i am wondering about where to start (general range) for crossover points. I have 2 sundown sd3 10s running off of an NVX1200.1 and a set of SSA Evil 6.5s and Tweeters running off of an NVX 800.4. It is running active off of a pioneer 80prs. Also, is there a general place to start as far as slopes go? 12db or 24db? I know every install is different and people have different tastes but im just looking for a decent place to start from.

Ok... so when I started this build, it was on a budget and kinda rushed along. My hearing isn't that great anymore after years of drumming in a metal band, so I didn't want to go too far. My current setup is powered by a Kenwood amp pushing 40x4 and 300x1 at 4ohm. I really love it....but since installing these 2 Dcons, my front stage just ain't hangin. Let me say.... I can't imagine some of these setups u guys have. These 2 Dcons are bangin on only 300. Plenty for me, with my hearing loss and all. I'm running Polk db651's front and rear, with Kicker 4" in the dash off the head unit. Think going the bridged route at 100x2 would be better, and lose the rears...since they ba…

Because of the price of the two local audio shops to get a true custom enclosure built, everyone any anyone is getting cookie cutter boxes from them. IE, preprogramed into their saw for their vehicle, or, even cheaper, basically prefab w/o the actualy fabrication. Better than prefab but unless the T/S params lend themselves to the given volume/tuning and the box is tuned to the owners ears, they end up unsatisfied. I've already done a few boxes for people around school and they have been extremely satisfied. I recive complements almost daily on "so and so's" box. But these where mostly close friends and i charged very little. My question is, how much should i charge to ma…
