I have no idea how loud my system is but I'm wondering at how many db's do your ears start to feel discomfort? It only happens when I have it going full tilt but my eardrums start to tickle and they hurt a little bit on the lower frequencies (30-35hz) I almost never feel it but anytime I have a friend riding with me they complain about their ears nonstop but I almost never feel it? I'm guessing when I get the saz-3500 and whatever sub its going to be very hard to sit in my car?

Don't send your T3 sub to T3 audio to be repaired , because Johnathan Demuth will just keep it. He will stop answering your e-mails an phone calls. He said SEND IT BACK I'LL FIX IT, yeah ok. You know it funny that eveyday on Facebook he post something but can't answer my e-mails or phone calls. $600.00 out the door time to call Sundown and get a good subwoofer an good company.

It was a lot of fun. I forgot my camera at home so no pics. Kinda sad actually... But anyway I ran for the first time I did a 141.8, I didn't think that it was to bad, with no electrical upgrades and the sub not being broke in yet. I am already considering another sub and walling my Jimmy off behind the second row. Of course that would involve another amp, a few batteries, and a alternator. But overall other than being burnt as hell the show was a lot of fun, and i can't wait for next year. BTW mark i handed out some flyers, but the were like wtf is ssa. HAHAHAHA

Hi all, A friend of mine wants a system for his class c Mercedes. He used to have some kind of spl system his cars, but wants now something small. He will buy a good Alpine head unit and a set of Focal comps for the front(without amp). He like the Icon but need something smaller, 300-600 watts rms. My first option would be a 10" Dcon sub and a small 2 channel amp(maybe a Sundown). Will that be enough for his trunk? will he be able to hear it in the car? The trunk is quite big, and seems to have no ski hole. What are the other options ? He would like to keep the budget as low as possible, but he is not broke, at all !!! To give a budget, hummmmmm : 300 to 400 $ max (witho…

Setup - 1999 Ford Expedition 5.4L 2 x 15" MTX 9500 1ohm setup Crunch GP3000D Amp ----------- Electrical: Big 3 of course - 1/0 Gauge Stock Alternator - I JUST replaced this thing a month ago, previous alternator crapped out on me. Question: Will the D3100 battery (second) be enough to handle the electrical? I plan on getting an Optima Yellow up front. Worse case scenario, I can always just upgrade the alternator. But i'd rather not if I don't have to. I just want a good steady voltage. ----------- I was planning on going with 2 18 BTLs, but found a great deal for 2 15 9500s for only 500 total - so I'm going to jump on it. Any/all answers are appreciated. Thanks.

Alright, i have been looking around few days, and i get a lot of different answers about capacitor. Some people say that they are for ricers who like LEDs, others say that you need it to supply power. and third group says that it will mess your system up. So whats the deal do you need it or now and why ? Why do they make them at all then. I think that you don't really need one because amplifiers already have necessary capacitors.

i have been on this forum and looking around at other guys cars/trucks. they all seem to get one subwoofer say a 12/15 inch woofer and on the videos they are flexing like crazy the roof of the car the trunk side windows and so on. they put a 2000-3000 watt sundown on it what im getting at why not get woofers that take less watts like 4 or 8 subwoofers that take lets say 150-200 watts rms per subwoofer and use less watts from your amp and your alternator and that should get way more output from like 1100 watts from your amp then getting a big 3500 watt monster that will pull 350 amps on one subwoofer and make your volts drop in low 11s im not trying to start a war just …

So I'm in the process of saving up cash for my new system. I'm almost 17 and working at mcdonalds bringing in about 150-200 a week. But anyways here we go, I only have room for 1 15 or 2 12's yes I considered taking out my backseats and making a 2 18" wall but that's a little drastic. Thought about going with a BTL 15 and putting it on a 3500 (either aq or sundown) But figured for a little more money I could get 2 12" BTLs and put them on 2 2k's (aq2200 or sundown2000) Both would be going in roughly 4 cubes @ 32 hz Is it worth the extra money for 2 12" btls? Only a little more cone area and 1000 more watts.

hi all went up to a local truck shop the other day and found a demo for a truck liner which consisted of a few pamphlets and a coke can covered in bed liner, well a friend of mine and i started playing with this can and soon enough we were breaking a sweat trying to crush it. then later that night i was watching my truck as the fi q 18 i had in the bed played and i saw how much everything was flexing so i was wondering if i coated the inside of my truck with the bed liner if it would save me from running into a problem like iamanmp3pimp (sorry if i butchered the Sn )had with his roof flexing till it cracked. thanks

I can't help but notice that manufacturer are still using paper cone subwoofers, while other companies are using aulumium, carbon, poly cones etc. etc. What is the purpose for having paper around? You would think having paper in the automotive enviroment would be a bad idea, considering things like moist/ Uv rays. For example most factory speakers found in cars are paper, over a period of time they become dry-rotted or cracked, in other words wheather beaten.

Hey guys. Ok so a few weeks ago, my stereo began to exhibit a strange problem. It would sort of skip but while fading in and out with weird background noise that sounds like a disk spinning. I figured it was the CD player in my deck, but this problem occurred while using Aux and the radio as well. The problem directly correlates with me slowing down, turning, or making any change in direction, and it is VERY sporadic. I obviously figured it was my deck, so I replaced it with a new one. The problem is now occurring again. I'm at a loss. It is obviously not anything in the deck, and I cannot figure out where this very odd fading/skipping would come from. And like I said, …

So... i was wondering what are the effects of running 2 giant gobs of wire out of a wall(8 runs of 8awg per side), one on each side of the wall and filling it in with whatever. this would just seem to cause some loss in SPL wouldnt it? I dont know if i just fill it in with silicone or should i shoot expanding foam in there... i dont know? Also, when i'm messing with the wire any, if the wire gets moved through the hole, would it "un-seal" the hole?

Was wondering if anyone has delt with "THE ROBOT UNDERGROUND" aka Juicyrobot on ebay? This is my question// I have a Orion XTRPRO 2400d that 1 of the output conductors was smoked. I spoke to Chris from db-r and he told me that i had to find another board from that model to get the part i needed. So i remember that when DEI bought Orion/ppi/ads in 2003 they had a auction and "the robotunderground" bought allot of the stock parts/b-stock items. I contacted them and was told to send it in for repair and they would rewind the conductor. I sent it to them on the 13th of may and they emailed me and said they received it and the tech is looking at it. Now i have emailed …

Looking to put some in my brother's car, since he's taking my AA 18" off my hands. He's on a budget, but I read a bit about these http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=11417 Can anyone give me some advice, or refer me to something good for a comparable price. They will be going on a JL http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_amps.php?amp_id=438 The sub is already on a JL 1000/1. I'm doing my car full Sundown but we already had these amps.
