  1. old pic i ran across. thought i'd share, i was amazed standing outside the car at the park, just beatin playin around, then the trunk flew open and wouldn't shut, to my surprise this was why ;d was a simple single 15 type-r setup with an alpine mrd-605 pushin it. setup: 2002 Kia Rio sub+port firing upwards in the trunk (gee, wonder why it broke )

  2. Our friend Don Sambrook (goes by Rudy on the forums), who for a number of years has been dedicating his time and effort to a 3rd party resource for sound deadener, has taken all the results from his tests and started his own product line. Sound Deadner Showdown. There is the CLD Tiles, Butyl Rope, Vinyl CCF, and Vinyl barrier. So far the site looks great and has a very simple and straight forward layout. He is currently working on the site right now I believe, so keep your eye out for more updates. Check it out, the prices are very reasonable too.

  11. Just wondering, lookin at it for a cheap source of power for a friend. He wants "LOUD CHEAP and GOOD" Which is obviously next to impossible. But if his standards are that low, maybe Boss is for him! http://www.millionbuy.com/bosol5kd.html

Ok guys, I've had a amp now for a few weeks pushing an 18" AA Chaos Sub. The Amp says its 4000 watts but I'm pretty sure it's only pushing about 1000 watts at 2OHMS. It's a no name amp i got from a friend brand new for free, so I figure why not. I've been slamming it hard, but all of a sudden it shut off on me. The name and model Audio Tek AT-4000 The Fuses are all still good, but for the hell of it I put 3x 40amp fuses in that were brand new. No sound still. I unplugged and reconnected all the cables, no sound still. I did a simple shut the car off and on , no sound. I check my Power Fuse Going to the battery, it's good , still no sound. There is a light on the actua…

  15. I got these a few days ago to replace a set of Infinity Reference components and they sound pretty dang good. Big Big Big improvement. The only problem I have is the output is way down compared to the 2 ohm rated Infinity, which ain't a bad thing because they were very harsh to my ears, but the Bostons are having a hard time keeping up with my sub bass with only 60 watts on them. I am sure they would love some more power and probably wake up and really shine. Details........ The Bostons are rated @ 3ohm and 125w rms and I have a Rockford Forgate 450.4 amp that puts out 60w RMS x 4 @ 2 ohm, 100w x 4 @ 2ohm, and 225w x 2 bridged @ 4ohm. I had thought about just bridging the…

  20. I have been thinking of different designs. Is there any issues with mounting a subwoofer in the inside port wall facing the port? I know the velocity from the port would be directed across the face of the sub, would this cause cancellation? Or would it depend on volume of the port? Any input is appreciated. Chad

I have this picture that someone suggested i use for my chit, but my sub doesn't hit hardly with these settings Something else i don't get is, the screw is one long line and one shorter line, which is suppose to line up with these arrows?

  24. When i want to show off my stuff im always afraid of blowing my subs. I was wondering if there is a formula or something that you guys use to make sure you know where the subs limit is? If i dial in my gains to where the amp is not sending clipped signals when the head unit is all the way up, does this mean that i can turn the head unit up as much as i want and not have to worry? I have an Audioque HDC312 "1000 RMS" sub Audioque AQ1200D all wired at 1 ohm
