Yesterday I finally got my ported box built, but now i need a little help with tuning my amp. I had the frequency set a little high because of the temporary sealed box i was using, but now i want to tune it for the lows. The box is 2.0ft^3 tuned to 32hz with a Fi Q12. This is all in a 96 honda accord off of 800 watts. What should i aim to tune my amps frequency at? Any help would be very appreciated.

I recently discovered Patrick Chandler and his shop. Has any body here used any of his subs or amps? The subs look to be very nice with beefy motors and Stiff paper cones. I am thinking about 1 18" "TC Sounds" with the "3 HP" motor. He said it wants around 1500 watts RMS. I have a about 1100 watts RMS to give it. Looking for general input on him and his operation. He seems to be a very nice guy, wondering what you guys think.

so i see occasionally people mentioning Audacity to check what kinda hz some songs are hitting, can anyone link me to a decent video that will teach me how to go about that? i did a quick search on youtube and i couldn't find anything. i didnt try google cause my internet decided not to like google right nwo and take foreverrrrrrr to load. so could someone please tell me, or link a vid, something to help me out here.

1) so i don't think there is a meter in my town, nor has there ever been one. So I finally got my Time alignment and my 2 way active set up going. Man oh man what a difference in the sound now that its all dialed in. I have switched out my dual 5.25 for a single 6.5 in the doors with the Tweets in the A pillars. Decided to stay with Polk audio. Got the Momo 6.5 comp set. Sound excellent. My buddy and I worked out the details for the tuning Saturday night. The Dodge dash and cab are so wide that it took some dancing with the settings to get a good center stage area. i have two blown CVR's......they still play a little, like when you put 250 or more watts through them them sound decent. how much are they worth?

n the next couple weeks i plan on starting to order everything for my system so i can have it done by summer. i am stuck between the HDC312 and BTL12.... i have heard the btl in person and am in love with it, and also have heard nothing but good things from people that own them. to me they just seem like an overall better choice, but that may just be because of all the good i have heard/seen about them. the HDC312 people are telling me is comparable to the BTL12, can take just as much power as the BTL, and can get just as loud. i dont know how true that is, but if it is on the same level as the BTL i would consider buying it, especially for the price. also from what a lot…

Ive gotten my box completed and my sub installed in my car for about a week now, its going to be a nice weekend out here in Michigan and would like to finish my box. What do I use to cover up all my seams/screws so I can paint over it. Also I want to have a nice black or charcoal look to the box but have it be textured like steve meades, any ideas what to use for it.

Has anyone ever taken out the backseat of a sedan or coupe in order to make space for an enclosure? This is like a mini-wall type enclosure with two 12s or two 15s, most likely the two 12s going directly behind the front seats. I was wondering if it is worth it, i want to optimize output without having the rear seat distorting the sound waves, and the difficulty of fitting a larger size box within the small trunk opening(going inside an infiniti G35 coupe). Would this be a good idea? I have no need for the backseat, so should i just go with it? Any input would be much appreciated.

I just have a few questions...i wanted to know about how long after i place an order should i receive and shipping dates or the spesker itself and also. I started build a box and i dont know what size to cut the wood for the vent. If anyone can help please let me know. Released a lil magic smoke out of my sdc2.5, was playing test tones and went to feed the dogs. Let her cool down a lil and she still pays normal so im happy. Guess this lil 600 watt sub cant take 1400 watts for more than 30 mins.

I've been looking for new components for my 4Runner almost as long as I've been posting at SSA. The JBL P650C comps have served me dutifully (if not spectacularly) over the last couple years. I've never been able to find a quality set at a reasonable price that would fit in my doors without modification. I believe that the Hybrid Audio Clarus C51-2's will fit in there fine. I can't seem to track down the depth measurements in any of the Hybrid manuals, so I'm not comfortable that the C61-2's will fit. hmmmm...... where to start.....i know i have done this before but i havent really did it the right way, and in a manner that could be taken seriously. i am planning an overhaul of my beetle i will be recieving in just under a year.
