I'm always so lucky. once I got a jbl 15wgti,a $600 sub, at a pawn shop for $70. they had it in a crappy box and didnt know what they had. Then a couple months ago I bought a soundstream tarantula tr880/2 for $300 in the box. now I have a soundstream splx 12. I've been to 3 comps and I never see ss in the lanes. But every comp I've been to was a local comp, maybe 15-20 car competeing. Has any one seen anything impressive come from ss. i got the fosgate 1500x1 mini and the amp has 4 gauge inputs. on the fosgate site it sys i will lose alot of power if i go the 4 gauge way. so should i just use 1/0 up until like a foot away from the battery and then run 4 gauge? or will just 4 gauge be aright??

So I decided to actually measure my cargo area in my Trail Blazer last night. Guess I'd just been lazy and not got around to doing it previously. I was making my enclosure and driver decisions based off what I had seen in other Blazers and similar sized vehicles. I planned on doing two 18s and now I'm not sure I can. I want to keep the box at a reasonable height so I can still see out my rear windshield. My max outer dimensions are 44.5" wide, 27" deep, and 23" tall. I could go a little taller but I'm already sitting higher that the rear seat with 23". I have a notch measured for the bottom front corner edge of the box for the batteries. Does any one here own a dd9515g that is 2 ohm? f so how do you wire it down to 1 ohm? I know you have to connect both positives and bot negatives. But this thing doesnt say which is positive and which is negative. And the way it connects is weird. Pictures of to wire it down to 1 ohm would be great if anyone has any. It will be powered by a Exile 2400.1 amp BTW. Does anyone know wether or not this amp is any good???

hey guys. i'm fixing to fiberglass over my back speaker adapters in my eclipse.whats the best/cheapest material to use for fiberglassing.its gonna have a 3/4"template holding the 6-1/2" in place just need to fiberglass over it to cover up the unused space. i was just gonna get some fiberglass resin from autozone and some material from wal-mart. any tips on it would be appreciated. charles

I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem yet. Im working on a new build in a blazer everything is going well so far. Im just trying to get the last part of my electrical straight before I build the enclosure. I have a singer 350a alt and I decided to add a mechman vcm. Everything has been hooked up properly but Im not getting any power to the vcm. I checked over wires and made sure I was getting voltage and everything checks out fine. I happened to notice that the plug which hooks up to the alt has one red wire. The plug happens to have 4 prongs. I wanted to know if that could be the reason for things not working as they should.

He has everything amps alternator, wires and fi btl 12" sub and everything he just got door speakers and I bought him the sundown 100.4 for his b-day.....but i dont know what to get him for christmas.... Okay I got my Damplifier. And I couldnt be any more pleased with it. So I did my Entire TRunk Lid. With more layers of Damp. Where there were rattles. I put it in the hole where the spare tire goes and around the floor of the trunk and a little on walls. So After Applying I still heard a rattle but it was from under the car. So I crawled under and found the rattle. It was on this square metal piece directly under where the spare tire goes. So I degreased it and Slapped 2 layers on that piece. It cut the rattle out quite a bit. So I cranked up the bass to listen for more rattles. I heard a rattle still under the car. Not loud but you can really tell its there. So I crawled…

well i had ordered some items from someone over at CA.com Friday 9th. I received the image dynamic speakers thursday I believe without the sub. I couldn't imagine why I didn't get both of them but I just shrugged it off. Well.....I just got back from a trip and I told my parents about it and they said "Yeah, we have something to tell you." My dad hands me an envolpe that has nothing but a label and an aplogoy note from the postal service. Basically someone either A) stole my sub or B. lost the package which I have no idea how you lose something this big. so we are going to go talk to the people about this monday. I'm really bummed about it

I'm thinking about buying an RLP 15" for my home audio needs. I've always wanted to try SS audio and just haven't gotten around to it but what better way then HT! My question is how much power does this thing need to sound good in an HT setup? I read from a different thread that anywhere from 2.0^3's to 4.0^3's tuned from 17hz to 20hz will be best so within that range of box specs, how much power will it need?

well what kind do you guys use? im about to mount my woofers but i dont feel comfrontable using the ones i bought to mount my fuse holders down, what use what kinda of should i be looking for i live in southern wisconsin so i have a menards thats about it and a home depot, but that like a 20min drive not really wanted to go all the way there for it unless i really have too

I may be buying Tirefryr's JBL BPX2200.1 if he still has it which i believe he does the last time i talked to him. Anyways what do you guys suggest i should do to my electrical system right now to handle it. Only gonna run it on one BL with the gain turned way down. So im thinking 2 runs on 0 from the front back and the red top i have in the back right now will handle it or am i sorely mistaken? I figure i could sell the 1200d to pay for the HO alternator but what do you guys suggest?
