im thinking about buying a new alt. i talk to a guy at the chevy dealership and he said that a 160 amp alt would be plenty to run 2 batts and draw of around 240 amps on 1 of the batteries. im wondering that if i get a 160 would it be good and how long it would last. its about 50 bucks cheaper than the 200 amp one. kinda on a budget.

I have a kenwood excelon x997 comin in as well as 6.5 alpine type r components and a ppi black ice 800.4 as well as all wiring and a ssa dcon 15 hopefully going in a custom built 3.5 cubic foot box now how should I wire the 15 on to the rear channels of the ppi since my dcons are dual 4 ohm

I have looked around and seen a system I would like to get rigged up. It's 2 Alpine SWR-1222D's powered by a Hifonics 1606D wired in at 2ohms in a 3ft^ ported enclosure tuned to 35hz.??? Im a little iffy about the box. It sounds like it would be good to me. Thanks in Advance ~MadroX

Okay I got my Damplifier. And I couldnt be any more pleased with it. So I did my Entire TRunk Lid. With more layers of Damp. Where there were rattles. I put it in the hole where the spare tire goes and around the floor of the trunk and a little on walls. So After Applying I still heard a rattle but it was from under the car. So I crawled under and found the rattle. It was on this square metal piece directly under where the spare tire goes. So I degreased it and Slapped 2 layers on that piece. It cut the rattle out quite a bit. So I cranked up the bass to listen for more rattles. I heard a rattle still under the car. Not loud but you can really tell its there. So I crawled…

Hello guys, i still have my Mazda CX-5 with everything still in, and working ! I am looking for my next car, thinking about an hybrid one, like a Lexus HYBRID suv. Who has ever installed a system in one ? I don't know what those car can handle. I'm sure I must keep the hu, but can I run 2 amplifiers ? right now i have a 12" btl powered by audioque 2200d in a ext cab ranger but im looking to get a new vehicle ( murano probably) how will it sound, i know it will depend on box size and all but as far as vehicle specific what will be the ups or downs to the suv, ive never had a system in a suv so im just looking for some input. okay so im looking into adding a 4 ch amp. i currently have 1 run of 1/0 to my back amp right now. i'd like to split that into one 1/0 and 8 gauge to my 4 ch. ive looked around and im a bit confused as to what to get. whats a decently priced block that can split my 1/0 off to a 1/0 and 8 gauge wire.

In case you couldn't tell I have a pair of Seas Excel 7" W18NX-001 & Seas Prestige 27TBFC/G tweeters. These things sure are beefy. I've never seen a tweeter quite like this one up close in real life hehe. Can't wait to get these things mounted and installed this weekend. I want to put something small in since the majority of the time, i'm the one driving her around.
