That was the 1st box i ever made on that other thread, lol, i dont think i ever tried it out, hmm. but here are the real pics The port looks extra small if you ask me.But its sposed to be 32hz Now i'm not sure if i want to add in this extra piece right here are not, if i do i have to cut it at an angle because the subs depth is more than my ports length Ply wood Did that even look like an 18in hole to u guys, ahh come on now Oh and does this need bracing of coarse

First i would like to say thanks to everyone that is competing this year and promoting their organization of choice, and also would like to thank people who are going out of their way to promote the industry as well. I also wanna thank anyone coming back into the lanes to give em hell, to do what they know best, and that is GETTING LOUD! And with this, I would like to thank ALMA for joining our small group here. Hope you enjoy your stay and hope you can give out some good info to the newer crowd on what you have seen and where you might forecast where we are all heading. Anyone wanting to learn more about Team Gates or ALMA can either post here or visit her website a…

since I own a scion, I frequesnt the scion bbs. Well, this guy (works for or at eDesigns) is putting 32 7.5" eDesigns woofers in the back of his TC. I guess the project just started today...but here are some pics he posted.... This reminda me of the Bose 901 series home speakers... any thoughts on this set up? I imagine it would get pretty loud. aside from being overly rediculous..what are the advantages of using 32 7.5" woofers, as opposed to 2-12's..? ...hhhmmmm....maybe I could do, like 16 rl-i 8's in my scion....hmm....

Hey guys, I was messing around with some box plans, and for the recommended box for two rl-i 8's (.6 CF @35 hz) the port has to be over 106 inches long. That is almost a 3 CF port! Anyone know how I can get the length down some? Check my math, but I'm pretty sure this is right.

well i was expecting a db drag. and i get there and there is like 4 judges that sat in the car to judge on overall sound. they said that my rl-p's were by far the best subs they've ever heard!!! needless to say i took first place and a $500 gift certificate to extreme motorsports. i was really wanting cash, cause i don't wanna spend any money on my car so i'll probably just end up selling it.... but either way i took first

18in Sx btw . Ok, I got 17.31cuft to mess wt here 43.5x27.5x25. The box is gonna be ported to idk 32 sounds like a good number. Suggestions? It will probably be dual chambered, wt the port on the end. Is that to big or not big enough is my question. It says it only needs 6cuft for sql, so i guess 8cuft for one sub isn't that bad.

For those with hatchbacks and/or hatchback experience. Folding rear seats, so large enclosures will work. What enclosure has worked best for you? CRX style? Sub up, back, forward, or angled towards glass? Port up, back, forwatd, or angled towards glass? Daily driver. I'm tempted to try something in the Mazda for the uberwoofer. Can be pretty large, so uncommon enclosures can work as well. It'll boil down to having the sub and port firing forward between the seats or any of the above ways.

what would you guys prefer to use to smooth out the corners inside a box, putty or bondo, (and which brand) I might grab some resin and hardener for my RL-p box, I want it perfect before the RL-p goes in, I shold probably do some more internal bracing to make it as stiff as possible to preserve as mush SQ as possible

If someone was going to build a sealed enclosure, and the woofer in question listed a box size of, say 0.75^3 to 1.5^3, how do you determine what size ^3 would best suit the woofer? Is that something that the tsparameter would tell you? Or, just build something in that size range and get equal results??? Just curious...

I am just wondering a little about amplifers and competition...... this makes me think because the wattage output of amplifers on the normal consumer market, is growing exponentially fast, for example a few years ago the Earthquake D2 was one of only a few amplifers that could be had for a not so bad price and was doing well over 2000 watts.... I am curious more about this in the purpose of street classes where 12volts and only one battery is allowed now Orion, Kicker, Hifonics, MMATS, PowerBass, American Bass, SPL Dynamics, Harrison Labs, Tru Technologies, Phoenix Gold, Zapco, Cadence, Rockford Fosgate, US Amps (the list goes way on) all make or sell a amplifer model tha…

Sorry for the long post. I just bought a pair of Beals Bros 8" midbass drivers. I have no specs on them. I know you are probably saying to yourself, why would he buy them if he doesnt know anything about them. Well they were cheap and in great shape. Now on the the questions. As many of you know I am currently running a set of CDT HD-62 pushed by a Memphis 16-mc300 ~150x2@4ohm (depending on voltage) ~240x2@2ohm ( " " " ) Here is where the questions start. The Beals is 2 ohm nominal and the HDs are 4ohm. that would make the final load 6ohm for series ( not enough) or 1.3ohm for parallel ( too low). I have heard that lower impedance=more distorti…
