hello all i have a system installed thanks to the great guys at phoenix gold and its really fricking loud which attracts the hoodrats and hence, i have no window now. So i went to go get a new window and the thing is almost 700.00. so i looked at lexan and that is way frigging cheaper. so heres the deal. How in the hell do you install this crap. i know i am supposed to be able to cut it with a jigsaw and like sand it or something but i dont really know how or what techniques to use or anything else. i need to know how to put this in or someone that does it needs to do it for me but either way i need the big fatty lexan in there. I've been to one spl comp and it was not even a real event, just a thing where people could get on the mic's (and audiocontrol mics at that ). I live in seattle and can not find a SINGLE spl comp anywhere near here. It seems like they are all out east. Around here we have Adire and Audiocontrol as well as Sounddomain.com / cardomain.com and other names that are getting somwhat big so my question is, why no comps around here???? -aaron

well i got the expo to wang finally. its go the 4 PG 15's and about 3 grand in watts for the subs and the windshield wipers are now jumpin off the window and it feels liek your in a wind tunnel. I smile every time i get in it and blow my ear drums out with it. what? huh ? what??? dude i cant hear you speak up. Today at my 1st comp... i was able to accomplish 140dB's with my 3.2cube@32hz box. It was on the new Termlab. Yes u may say its weak, but i've got big plans for this coming season... totally redoing my whole box. I took 3rd place in Stock 301-900 in USACi comp here in Sacramento. It was alot of fun... if no one believes i hit 140, ask tyler(marleyskater420), he was there. Pretty cool guy, it was fun meetin up wit him. Anyways guys, i just wanted to let everyone know . i'm new to car audio, but would really like to learn to custom build and fabricate (amongst other things), so i was wondering where i could go to learn to do those things. i know there are tutorials, but i learn better with hands-on experience, so are there any places anyone could suggest. thanks for your suggestions

hey, i know im a little premature since im still looking for a vehicle to build up , but where can i get a small sheet of plexi to etch for a custom logo? So far ive got most of it planned out. Ive got a pioneer HU, a damn near industructible class D amp thats stable to 1 ohm. Since i took all the stuff out of the X i just need to find another vehicle to put it in, and I plan on building a custom enclosure when i get the car/truck and decide on a subwoofer, right now leaning to one of adire audio's product line. Who know's , maybe once im done i'll even grace the local car show with my presence But for now im still in the planning stages. Could i order plexi online…

This H2 Hummer was at the 2003 North of the Border Bash.. it got 143db in the SPL competition.. The guy doesn't compete.. he just wanted to see where he stands in the SPL realm...

I only get static when both sets of rca's are plugged into my 4 channel avionix amp. When i have ony 1 set of rca in the amp it is clear (Static-free). I tested this on both sides of the amp and the same thing happens regardless if i have the rear rca installed or front rca installed or vice versa. ANy ideas?

Why do you compete? Since I opened, I will let you all know why I compete. I compete to have fun and to represent. One of the main reasons why I compete is because of the gear I run. Back when i started, it was about fun and there were plenty of Orion competitors, now there is a few of us, and I doubt that none are as serious as I with the Orion equipment. That would be the main reason, to bring back the Orion name to the competition arena, make them the proud people they used to be. We will be partaking in a new format this year. We have decided, after heavy heart, to drop the dB Drag format and proceed to the IASCA IdbL format. We still plan on hosting our normal 6 shows and possibly a 2x event. We are also thinking of hosting a couple night shows so that the people who have spent the money on neon will have a chance to show that off. Also we are perspectively hosting all events this year in conjunction with "Compact Evolution" which is the brainchild of Garrett Sweet.
