POLYURETHANE FOAM the reason im writeing about foam when im talking about fiberglass, is that you can make mold's out of thing's. just fiberglass over it then get some acetone and it will eat the foam and keep your fiberglass mold. they have 2pt. polyurethane foam that is equal mixing self-rising foam. most 2pt. will start foaming around 45 second's after you mix the two, and will go for a few minute's after. now it will expand around 25-30 time's it's liquid form. unlike polyester foam, polyurethane foam it's compatible wth both polyester resin and epoxy resin. I was doing a dry build of sub enclosure yesterday and I decided to see how the kreg jig would work on some scraps. I wasn't able to find a bit long enough and small enough to pre drill and the wood split. My question is can I use"L" brackets instead and how good would they work? Second question what sealer to use? I'm not going to be able to seal the top panel because I will have to put my subs in when I put the front baffles on and I will not be able to get to the top inside corners what should I do?

Ok, so I float around a few different forums and everyone has something different on the subject. Could someone please explain port loading? Why would you want have the sub in different locations in relation to the port? (close, far, centered on the face, etc) For example lets say for arguments sake; lets just have the port and sub on the same plain on the box for this discussion. I'm always trying to learn things to help me make louder, better boxes for my customers. I figure understanding this phenomena will help. Thanks in advance

I'm looking to build a new box for my blazer. I listen to mostly rock/metal but I do like rap. From what I've read 4 cubed and 30hz. If someone thinks differently i'm open to suggestions. My max dims are 37.5 wheel well to wheel well, 32 from the top of the rear seat to the tailgate, floor to top of seat is 15. I'm planning on putting in a false floor and I don't want to block my rear window so short is good. I'm running a hifonics brutus 1208D if that matters Thanks for any help

What I HOPE to attain is a great sounding sub stage (I have two SA-8s) that gets REAL low and is real tight. What makes my goal a bit different than most requests is that I don't care about volume (SPL), I will never put a meter on it to check my SPL... I want low extension, and tight bass with very little hump in the response curve (I realize it is nearly impossible to get a flat sound from a ported box). I have a 1989 Dodge B250 Van. I removed the backseats and built a platform to hold a setup I am getting ready to build. I will not be building a wall. The subs were going to be facing the back of the van and my plan was to have the port on the back of the box. Do you think that would work properly or should I move it to the front. The speaker box will more than likely 21-24cubes and tuned around 32hz. It is supposed to be for 4 18's or 6 15's. I am leaning towards the 15's.

Hey guys just looking for a little input here I have been doing some measuring and test fitting cardboard templates to see what I can fit behind my seats without having to loss a lot of leg room. I came up with this set up. Dimensions 13”H x 20”W x 5”depth1 x 8.5”depth2, with 3/4 MDF it gives me .646 ft3. The Sundown SA-10 specs say it will do fine in a sealed enclose at .5 ft3 so after displacement I should be right on track with .546 ft3. My only real concern here is the mounting depth at 6” I should be in the clear right?

Currently I have a 15" zcon in a 4th order bp ported through rear deck. Going to be getting 2 12" zcons and trying to think of what kind of box to start on. 4th . 6th. Ported with trunk sealed off? Which ever one I chose I'm going to be porting through my rear deck.. I think I can get about 9 or 10 cubes if I pretty much Max the trunk out .which I could do... Just seeing if anyone has any opinions on anything that will help me make up my mind? If you got any questions just ask. Going to be running 4 - 5k. Maybe a little more.
