  2. Just wondering what you guys think the best programs for simulatiing frequency response, SPL, and similar things, especially for in car or in room calculations. I have WINisd now, alpha and beta, but they both yield problems on my computer for some reason and I can't seem to figure it out. The programs seem pretty easy to use, maybe I just haven't explored these enough. What do you use, does it cost anything, ease of use, knowledge required, different features....

im gonna make some kick pods using my old kickpanels in my truck, but i saw a guy on here once making them with 1/4 inch mdf for the mounting plate, and then the rest was foam filler which he resined and glassed directly on top of that then wrapped them in vinyl. is this a good idea, or stick to the regular all glassed way?

I have a visonik 12" woofer, that came from this set: http://ep.yimg.com/ip/I/millionbuy_2051_58365261 I am looking for some dimensions for a box, I intend to build it my self. I am planning low tuned, and ported. it will be in my room for the time being, so i would say slot ported, to ~28-32hz. size isn't an issue. And, it certainly wouldn't hurt to recieve a few tips for a first time builder.

Since I'm only on my phone right i can't really use any software to design a box. If you could just give me the cut out measurments that would be great. Maybe a picture of what it might look like. Tuned to 30hz Demensions 32Lx20Wx16H If possible I want the port in the middle with a board separating the the two. So the subs each have there own chamber. All help is appreciated.

Hi there wonder what's yr opinion about such setup: 2 x 8" by AudioPulse (Epic D2) questions: 1. go sealed or ported? 2. how big should be the box to achieve lower frequency response (~32hz)? 3. will this setup be enough efficient to shake my car or it's better to go with 2x10" ? thx

Well I've almost got enough saved up for a fully loaded 18" btl. I have a 2003 extended cab s10 this will be going in. My maximum dimensions are 23.5"(h) x 18"(w) x 50"(l). Those are outer dimensions. This will be powered by a Sundown Audio Saz-3000d into 1 ohm :bigclap: . I was wondering if 6 ft^3 would be fine with that much power with 80 in^2 of port tuned to 30 hz.

  10. This is about the best fiberglass walkthrough I've found. My plan thus far is to cut out some holes in the door panels, make some MDF speaker rings, mount them to the door panels with little metal brackets, spread some fabric over it, and put a few layers of resiny fiberglass cloth over it. Sand and repeat, sand again. Am I missing anything?

  14. I need some input from some SQ guys. It has a factory nav so options would be to swap out the factory headunit with an aftermarket and good equalizers. Or just add equalizers to the factory unit. All highs will be mounted in factory locations. Two eight inch subs will be molded where the back seats are located. The product list includes the following: two pairs Focal K2 power 100 KRS 4 inch components two Focal Utopia 21 Wx 8 inch woofers One Audison VRX 4.300 One Audison VRX 1.500 What would you consider the best way to go, money not being an issue.
