okay new here and was told that you guys could definitely put me in at least a general direction. here goes I have a customer who had three 12" L7's powered by 3 hifonics bx11200's in the trunk of his 96 J30. the box it self was a sealed, non-separated, box that was just big enough to wrap around the woofers and fire at the rear with the box jutted up against the gas tank that resides there. he is asking if there is any way to build a box that would be noticeably louder yet still retain the punch of such a constrained box. he doesn't mind the loss of his trunk so but the real challenge is figuring out how to get the sound to penetrate through the obstacles within the trun…

Hi guys, As the title says, i need a box for my sa-8 but i don't have an enclosure yet. I already saw this thread: But i wanted to get your opinion with this one: can you tell me which one is better? The only difference is the port area. The second one is bigger thus have a higher tuning. I listen to hip hop, rap music most of the time by the way. Any help/insight is appreciated. Thank you!

These will be going in the back of a Grand Cherokee. I was originally thinking a single SA-12 but I think I like the idea of less box so I can keep more cargo area and my goal is a daily driver SQ setup so I think the 8's will be just fine for my goals and it stays within my pretty small budget. I have never built a ported box before so the design, tuning, and porting all are things I don't have a grasp on. I want to do a box that is wedge shaped to maximize the space available while leaving as much cargo area as I can. One thing I am not sure about is whether or not to go rear firing or top firing. The rear firing will allow for a slimmer box but I want to make sure I am…

  16. I recently bought 2 RE AUDIO SXX 12" woofers and plan to build the enclosure (vented) by myself (first time in my life). Since the manufactorer's web site only provides a box calculator for one woofer, can somebody kindly give me some advice on dual woofer enclosure and port measurement? In order for the box to fit in the trunck, the size constraints are: Length < 35", Height < 16.5". I prefer SQ over SPL and hope the bass hit as hard as they can. Thanks so much! The T/S parameters are listed below and more info. can be found on http://www.reaudio.com/woofers.php#goto_sxx Qes: 0.32 (Electrical Q value) Qms: 4.4 (Mechanical Q value) Qts: 0.30 (Total Speaker Q value)…

Well I've almost got enough saved up for a fully loaded 18" btl. I have a 2003 extended cab s10 this will be going in. My maximum dimensions are 23.5"(h) x 18"(w) x 50"(l). Those are outer dimensions. This will be powered by a Sundown Audio Saz-3000d into 1 ohm :bigclap: . I was wondering if 6 ft^3 would be fine with that much power with 80 in^2 of port tuned to 30 hz.

I started sanding the enclosure and filled it all the screw holes sanded all those spots with 60/120/220 grit sand paper everythings smooth(so i thought) i started painting the enclosure with kryole dual primer and paint(spray can) i thought it would be good to use that lol well im pretty stupid to think that was gonna work great.
