Picked up 4 havoc 15's for my ext cab f150. Problem I have is my max width in the back is 58.5" and I want to fire up so I can't do a straight baffle and have enough surface area. I need to do an angled baffle and have come up with two ideas but wanted to throw it out to see if anybody had a preference between the two or maybe other suggestions. Max dimensions are roughly 25h x 23.5d x 58.5 long These will be sealed:

I discovered this on a Honda forum that someone had posted, the description of the box are in the web browsers little tag (this is how it is using firefox). They range from 1-2 subs, and 2 cf all the way to 4/5 cf. The tuning is a little high on a few of them from 35-37 hz, but theres some lower. I think this may help a few out, Sub Box Diagrams

Hi, I need help with a spl box in a sedan. My car in a Acura cl 97 the seats do not let down but there is a 7 by 10 hole where the arm rest lets down. My subwoofer is a T3 audio tss 15 with one Sundown a Audio saz3000d pushing it. What is the best setup, sub firing to the back with port to the back, maybe sub firing up with port to the rear. I'm 39 years old an have been out of spl for years but I miss all the fun. I donot want to be in the way at shows so can you guys help my with a design that may work. The car will be use for spl music. Thanks for any help.

Working on some fiberglass corner enclosures on an upcoming build for someone and i noticed that the corners that they will be installed in are slightly different. since i was going to begin by making the backs to rest perfectly flush i am wondering if having slightly different airspace for each side, say .1 of a cubic foot. would cause problems. I would say the left box will be about .9 sealed and the right would be about 1.0 if anything. should i add an extra piece of MDF to the bottom to compensate? i didn't know is the different Fs would cause some type of clash in the response

I just finished a build on a trans line box, Its a 1/4 wave 33 hz. But i thought i had read some where that 1/2 wave trans lines were better, but impractical for space. so i thought i would make a box with a 1/4 wave at 33 for daily and 1/2 wave at 66 for comps, but from testin the box in my house the box getts really quiet after about 40-45(guesstimation) when using a reasonce test song, so was my idea of a dual purpose box dumb.. and are the only good trans line boxes 1/4 wave boxes?

I started my base mold about a week ago, and popped it out after the second layer. Right now im on my fourth layer for the base, and it seems to be getting really stiff. Probably going to end up doing 2 more layers. I have a question though, does fiberglassing polyiester rope to the inside of the box help stiffen it up? i thought I read about that on here but im not sure.

I did some noob calculations and would appreciate someone varifying what I have done. I would like to do this build one shot. Here is what I have done so far. Skip this if it doesn't help. The box I have now, 40" L x 16" W x 16" H. Internal volume considering 3/4"MDF, I got 4.68cf - port dispacement (4.75 x 14.4 x 30) or 1.31cf = 3.37 - driver displacement of (.16 x 2) or .32 = 3.05 or 1.52cf/driver. I did two alternate box calculations of which I am interested in one. It is as follows: 40" W x 20" W x 16" H. Internal volume considering 3/4"MDF, I got 5.97cf - port displacement (4.75" x 14.4" x 17.28") or .68cf = 5.29cf - driver displacement (.32) = 4.97cf or 2.48cf/driv…

Hard to explain. Currently i have the standard single fifteen ported to the back, sub and port rear facing. I have a 03 maxima, and would be interested in sealing this to the interior of the car and firing the sub forward, with the port firing up through the rear deck into the rear window. I did something similar in my last max but still had the sub firing up. I sat i a car with two orion hccas sealed to the rear seat and ported finging up through rear deck, and NEED THAT. Anyone up to the task?

I'm going to be putting together a new box this weekend for a 10'' BL in my reg cab ranger. First off, the box will be 1.6@36-37 with (2) 3'' aeroports (Fi recommends 1.25). Will I run into any problems with having the box larger than optimal size? How should I put my ports? Here's the space I'm working with: Option 1: Option 2: Option 3:

well since i put in the 2 15" BL's on the sundown 3000d, i have NO windshield flex, a little roof flex which is no biggie, but the worst is the doors...the body panels are so thin and theres just a single support bar inside it, which flexs with it against the body panel. i put Great stuff foam and peel & seal. i know peel and seal isnt real deadener, but ive used it before and itll deaden sound for sure, maybe not as good but itll do the job. well it did hardly nothing. what would solve it is fill the whole door with expanding foam but that isnt an option, becuase i obviously need the windows to go up and down. any ideas? pics of my door panels should be in the wall t…

And its going in a 2004 Chevy Aveo. Im going to parallel wire the 4 ohm subs to 2 ohms. For a educated guess do you think I'll be hitting @ leats 140db? I…

Hey guys Im currently out in pursuit of the rookie1 world record in Iasca IDBL format.. I'm using 3 8'' mtx 5500 running them off a sundowns 1500d with a optima d34 up front.. Im limited to port area, 14 per sub so I'm basically playing with 42sq inches.. My current port is 39sq inches and Im doing a 140.1db on the audiocontrol meter.. In my class Im not allowed to use test tones so Im using tracks like 36 mafia-slob on my knob.. Is there any ideas yall could give me to bring my score up? I'm thinking of re-building my box to give each sub 1cub of space each with a solid 42 sq inches of port. Maybe try 45 degree fillers and fiberglass the inside of the box with external…

Hey all... got another question here . If you use aero ports, is it possible to build the box smaller in relation to a box with slot ports, or is the port displacement the same for both types? Thanks
