here it is. after about an hour we located the problem. teh starter wire had laid up next to the long tube tri-y headers and melted, causing it to short out. here's a car made by an audio shop, pretty good install, some clearance issues, looked over by several mechanics, and all that is wrong with it was the starter wire...lol....oh well...we got paid for the repaires.. enjoy the pics.... one the sexiest amps of all time and there ya have it. the best part of this car, other then the crown, is the airbrushed chrome trim. it's absolutely beautiful. but there are some issues with the car. one airline leaks a bit, there is some rust starting to …

here is one ongoing install.... started with a pair of planet audio amps, the sub amp (notpictured yet) has been replaced with an mc1500d, the high end is still covered by planet audio. has 6, yep 6 kicker ds 3.5 speakers, all in factory locations. that includes a pair UNDER the rear seat! started with a pair of treo tsx 10's in a small sealed box. moved to memphis pr 15's sealed and now is running a massive audio in a 3.75ft^3 ported affair. it's tuned to 35hz. the massive will probably be replaced with a mojo soon, as will the remaining planet audio with a 2004. nothing fancy, just the basic wedge bottomed box. it does get loud though..lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…

Yeah but i seem to have misplaced my camera....ill look for it tomarrow. Wicked one is almost finished and basically waiting for paint/baffles. These drivers are so beefy im going to have to put the baffles in with the drivers already mounted, good thing is once the enclosrue is bolted down there is no way in hell anyone will be able to steal the drivers without either stealing a 55lb enclosrue with it or completely tearing apart the enclosre.... and all for a pair of $55 drivers...ehhh not really worth it. HU went in easy thanks to a sosche install kit. First time that ive used one and it went perfect w/o any hitches. Wires are ran except for the power wire and i have th…

3.5cubes @ 32hz I didn't feel like doing anything elaborate this time, so it's just a simple box with the amps on top. Barely had any listening time, but so far it seems a bit on the loud side I'll get some pr0n as soon as I can.

Here's the start. Already did the front stage, which consisted of Coustic DR 7 inchers and Aura tweets. Didn't snap any pics though; they're just stuck in the stock placement. Built the sub enclosure today. Have to go to the dealership Monday and get the appropriate vinyl dye.

Well for now im gonna fix the flexi basket and if i ever have the money i may send it in to be made into an 18... soo here is what i did today. I would like to fix it to the point it wont need a support ring on it so i can put the gasket back on make it look brand new. I dont know how im going to do that because that will be one hell of a weld to get the broken spoke back to the basket.

here's some pics of the 1971 impala install i'm working on (in between all the other stuff..lol) first the car... now the box build up. it's bandpass. roughly 2ft^3 sealed and 2.75ft^3 ported, two 2" x 14" ports 11" long. rough bandpass figures are 35hz thru 95hz or so. honestly have no clue, it's for a 15" treo ss, and it's my first bandpass build for anything other then flat out spl. my home away from home... the brace and parts..... and the build up...the sealed part is "stepped" to get the need volume... pretty much finished the box...here's a side shot and a look inside the beast. i'll take some more as the install progresses... yeah, it's alot of pics, but what the …

Well guys, my friend and I spent 9 - 10 hours fixing my baby today. We put on headers and high-flow cats, replaced the water pump, optispark, spark plug wires, and spark plugs, deleted the air pump, and did an oil change. I know I could never show myself around here again if I didn't get pics so here ya go: Some random parts: The headers, cats, and gaskets: Taking the old crap off: Is it just me or does this look a lot like blood? The underside: Another view of the underside: All the old stuff off of the block: Exhaust ports: The new water pump and optispark gaskets installed: That wonderful piss-yellow do hickey: Headers and spark plug wires in place: Bottom …

Well, the car show is over and it was pretty crazy. This is the last year it will be in my hometown, but it was a good last run. I believe somebody said there were over 500 cars in the show, so these pictures aren't even close to being conclusive of the show. These were just a few cars that I liked. I wish I could have gotten a picture of the cars wrapped around the pond but I didn't get a chance to. Anyways, hope you like these pics.

Well, after a late night last Wednesday, the system is almost complete. All I have left to do is relocate my battery in the cubbyhole on the side and make a cover for it with the EQ flush mounted inside. Here are a few pictures from the weekend though:

Here are some pics of the '96 Impala SS I've been working on in my spare time for the past couple of weeks. It's nearing completion and I want to see what you guys think. I'm not up to using fiberglass just yet but I think my next install might be a testing ground. Anyway...on to the gear! Alpine CDA-9835 Orion 8004 RE 12.1 LE (the black one!!!!) RE HC 15 (1) Orion P6.2 (2 sets) #1 wire fused at 250A then distributed via #4 to each amp fused with 80A fuse 4" away. All component crossovers are behind the amps in the amp rack along with the fuses and distribution block. Each amp is grounded to the floor of the car with their own wire. #1 for the RE and #4 for the Orion. The…

During the move to our new house, I came across some of my old pictures that I shot a while back. One set of importance was a summer I spent in Germany. So now that I have all my computer equipment hooked up at once, I decided to finally scan some old shots, hope you like. These first shots are from the worlds largest car museum in Frankfurt. Many of these are the only examples of their kind in existance. All of these were shot with 100 speed film and no flash on a 55mm lense. these last two are later on out side..

One hell of an entry level system < $600 in equiptment/waires/everything for hte headunit and < 650 total (enclosure and kick pods). I think i did pretty well for Amanda no? Hifonics 4channel amp comes in tomarrow, well could have come in today but because it was being shipped to her house there was no one there to sign for it so i have to go pick it up tomarrow. these hollywood sound speaks seemed kinda wimpy to me but for $55 they look worthy. Of course weight has little to do with performance, but i like beefy speakers. I had to remind myself they are a set of componets that retail at $175 if you're luckey. Then the sexiest componet amp ive seen to date Fla…
