I got so sick and tired and fed up, irritated with everyones obsession with looks, asthetics, cosmetics. It's all about the sound and cheap cheap cheap to me. I got carried away with the walmart red, silver, and gold spray paint. Brandy got me 10 cans of walmart black paint for my birthday so i could paint it all back...and I am very pleased. It is very sloppy, very cheap, but it is black sloppy, better than gold silver and red sloppy! Before: (havent painted the doors yet, may leave them red) hard to see, but the front of the false ceiling is red, and I left that too! Found out recently that the Sub sonic isnt a necessary setting on High excursion subs. Turned mine off. Got a looooottt more power out of the lows now. And haven't had a single problem with heat or with bottoming out. Even playing Bass Mekanik lowd slowd. Heres some pics. And vids to come soon as they upload to youtube. So, I got bored and decided to make a lamp out of some old speaker parts I had sitting around. The components used are the soft parts from an RE MT that Nikuk mailed to me out of the blue nearly 5 years ago, and a basket and vc former from a Next 6.5" speaker. I used the basket as a base for the lamp and epoxy'd it to the bottom of the former of the MT softparts, which serves as the main body of the lamp. I used the former from the Next speaker to fill the gap between the MT dustcap and the bottom of the lamp fixture. The end result; Still need to decide what I want to do for a lamp shade. Picked this up today from Steve at AmpMedics. Traded the previous owner my Skar Sk85.4 and paid Steve the $220 repair bill. Had a full ovehaul. Changed fets, drive board, and power supply! Having Robin at BHE build me a set of double stack Fi Q motors into 12's with PSI Soft parts next month to run on this bad boy. Can' wait! And my Q motors. (Yes I know one has cooling option and one don't. Both NDMstang65 and David from PSI have given the OK to run them as a pair.)
