So I am going to be getting a new computer, the most important thing is that it can run old school runescape well. I also want to spend as little money as possible. Any suggestions on a cheap laptop that will have no problems running osrs? Or do I need to go with a desktop?

i am currently bored so i decided to do some stuff to my room. so i am just messing around and i decided i want accent lighting. i want to get some cathodes off oznium.com and somehow wire them up in my room to one switch if possible. i plan to hook up a rocker switch in my nightstand and wire all the cathodes up to that. i just need to know how i can power them. can i take a computer power supply and just lay that under my bed and run all the wires to that? thanks in advance for any replies

i just got a new netgear wireless router and tried setting up a password. it connects to the internet but only as a limited connection and cant get online. anyone know what i need to do? it worked fine without the password, but i dont want to leave it open so anyone can connect to it.

I'm wondering if someone has any idea why a website would just stop working for me? Here's what's happened. A little over a month ago I was on a website and for some reason the pages stopped loading. I kept getting a message that said the internet could not connect to the website. I thought maybe the site was having problems, but after a week it still wouldn't work. Started checking with people and found out that the site was not down. I had about a half a dozen different communications with my ISP and they had no answer for why it wasn't working for me. I tried clearing out my cookies, deleting my browsing history, etc. I even went so far as to reinstall my OS. None of t…

First off, I don't know much about computers so take that into consideration when replying please. Anyways, my new harddrive came in for my OmniFi. I pulled the old one out, plugged the new one in, partitioned it for FAT32, plugged it into my Omnifi, and well, it creates a file called "\USR\newroot.xml", but it need's to be "\USR\root.xml" instead. Now, everything went fine until I plugged it back into my computer to change the file name. I cannot find the drive on my computer anywhere. It does not show up on the My Computer tab, but if I go to "safely remove hardware," it shows up. Anyone know what my problem is and how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

i was just using the internet and i got a pop up for some free anti virus software. i then closed it. next thing you know, i keep getting all these pop ups saying my computer is infected and this random anti virus program starts to scan my PC but this program really is not installed on my PC. i get a hole bunch of random windows security pop ups also. i cant download a new AV program or any program any more it keeps stopping the program from installing. i really do not want to reformat my PC. so please any ideas would help. Okay, the other day, I DLed the SP2 and it totally screwed up my internet connection. Upon uninstalling, everything was fine. Well, I forgot to change my prefs for Windows updates and fell asleep the other night with the computer on and low and behold, when I awoke, the computer had DLed and installed SP2 again. Went to uninstall and restart, and now it get's to the XP screen, loads windows, then goes to the blue screen and restarts the computer. Does it everytime and will do nothing else. I called MS tech and they told me to insert the XP setup disc and it would repair windows. HA! No luck. Still does the same ole crap. ANy ideas what to do? With me asking this…

Working on a project and I need to find out how the computer and USB actually work together. What is between the USB port and the circuit board? How does the computer actually receive/send the info.? mainly I'm looking for pictures, diagrams, drawings....something to show the relation ship between the two.

Ok, here is my problem... We are running Foscam wireless IP cameras on our G network at home for monitors in our girls room. I have been running one for over a year now without issue, and bought a second for our infants room. Wireless network is running WAP2/AES encryption. Last night I programmed the second camera via the hardwired LAN. Everythin worked fine, I was able to assign an IP, get the camera working and verify all options and operation. I duplicated every parameter of the current functioning camer except fot the alias and IP. I'm in the initial phase of putting together a private network server - looking to have it up my Feb 1. I'm not worried about the hardware... Software and protocol? I need some help, please. I've a pair of 70Gb 10krpm drives. I dont wanna setup my hdd's as a raid array for stability concerns. That being said, one drive will be personal & program storage, one to be net storage. Outside of a super firewall and a gigabit ethernet... what do i need? What can I run, Windows based, to make one of my drives internet accessible? Can someone point me to some good sites? On my network connections page (on pc) its only showing local area connection and not wireless connection. I tried to install the driver over and over, but obviously that was not the answer because still nothing . I dont know much about pc's but the basics but Im thinking it is a network adapter that i need but I have no clue how to get this or what it is. Any insite or info on this is def. welcome. Thx.

alright guys, i'll be heading off to college in the fall and i need to get a new computer, so im looking for your suggestions i'm looking for a laptop, i dont really care if its uber lightweight since i most likely wont be carrying it around to classes but i do want to be able to take it home during breaks needs to be fast, i HATE slow computers a good sized HDD would be nice wi-fi ready and all that good stuff CD/DVD player/burner... can you get DVD burners in laptops? if not, not a biggie a good screen, i do like to mess around with photoshop and i think thats it, so let me hear your ideas TIA

Our current one has a Pentium 4 1.5Ghz, 512mb of RAM, 127gb HD (replaced after it crashed), DVD-RW (recently purchased) and a CD-RW all housed in a Dell Inspiron 4300 case. We have a mouse, keyboard, new flatscreen monitor and speakers that can all be carried over to the new comp. The reason he wants a new computer is because this one is getting ridiculously slow. Good Stuff. its just hte lead singer, mixed beats, and produced by Jay-Z. Bass lines are AWSOME. they absolutely kill in the Ava18...not in the Lil-John or Young Geezy way. Classical music way. Low and punchey. They have given me something to show people how well large speakers can produce punchey fast lines that isnt classical or techno. so far my two favorite are "Where'd you Go" and "Remember the Name" out of 5.

the new Social Distortion "Sex Love and Rock and Roll" is totally insane---GREAT guitar and awe inspiring vocals----if you like socal punk with a harder edge----it is a great overall CD. "Don't take me for granted" one of the better tracks.

I don't really know where to start with this one, so I'll start with the PC it's replacing. My current PC is an AMD Athlon XP 2500, 512 MB RAM, Biostar M7NCD Pro, and a Leadtek Winfast GeForce 6200. At least that's all the parts worth mentioning. I can't even remember when I bought it. The one to replace it is currently saved on my Newegg Wish List. I know almost nothing about phones and some of those commercials that show a guy walking past the apple iphone line and having a clearly superior phone has got me thinking. I'm eligible for an upgrade and have an Iphone 3gs right now. I love it and would like a similar device with newer features. I know a lot of phones out there are "iphone killers" at a fraction of the price. What should i get? AT&T has a lot of smartphones in the free to $19 range with an upgrade.
