My laptop was asleep, I wake it up and it shows the log in page for a second then flips to the first startup screen like it rebooted, which shouldnt have happened. The status bar at the bottom of the screen gets about 75% across then freezes. I shut it down manually and now it will turn on and the cd drive will make its normal start up noise but nothing happens past that....no start up screen, just black. Seems like I had a similar problem years ago on my desktop and the problem was dead RAM. If i put my ear to the HDD it sounds like its running. Sound like a ram problem? Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this POS?

I have my phone jack wired, new cord, and the computer all ready, but i cant find a program that will let me use my computer like a house phone Does anyone else do this? If so, could you help me out? --Thanks, Chris

Working on a project and I need to find out how the computer and USB actually work together. What is between the USB port and the circuit board? How does the computer actually receive/send the info.? mainly I'm looking for pictures, diagrams, drawings....something to show the relation ship between the two.

Soon to be upgrading to a Biostar T5 XE LGA 1156 ATX Motherboard! i was just using the internet and i got a pop up for some free anti virus software. i then closed it. next thing you know, i keep getting all these pop ups saying my computer is infected and this random anti virus program starts to scan my PC but this program really is not installed on my PC. i get a hole bunch of random windows security pop ups also. i cant download a new AV program or any program any more it keeps stopping the program from installing. i really do not want to reformat my PC. so please any ideas would help. So guys, I'm having a problem with youtube streaming. I can watch a video and it will stream quite quickly on any website except for Youtube, It takes ages to load. Even Myspace video's stream much more quickly than Youtube. It will take several minutes even for lets say a 00.47 second video to load. Site such a Vimeo, Megaupload Video, College Humor, Etc will load faster. I have a fast Internet connection about a 4Mb connection. Below is my DSL Speed Reports.

So, almost two months ago, i bought a brand new Dell PC. I recently got a job after graduating college, so i figured i'd get a good one (for what i use it for, im not into gaming), since for the first time in my life, i had the money to spend. For Some Reason My Computer Is Only Playing One Channel. I Dont Know Why And I Have Even Plugged Headphones Directly into the (Auido Output) from the back and still only one channel. Could My Sound Card be bad? I have an onboard sound card so would that mean that i will have to buy a new motherboard or possibilly an aftermarket sound card. Or is there an easier solution. I need to pick up several Android tablets for work and need to use Verizon as my 4G carrier. Curious if some of you guys have experience with any and what to look for. I have 3 IPads at home so I am not familiar with the Androids. Use will be a large App type program installed that will run instant GPS location and info sharing and be linked via internet off software I control from home of office. Pretty neat shit... (thats my technical term) I have seen good and bad reviews about the Samsung's? I am trying to keep cost per unit to under 400 each.

I found desktopX 3.1, then started downloading themes, now I have my Dell looking like my G4
