After a couple minutes of start up, my computer makes sort of a grinding sound. The constant 'hum' is still there. It's coming from toward the back (grinding) - you can barely hear it at times, but it'll get louder and you can notice it. I solved it for a few minutes before by beating on the desk. I don't know if this is a problem, but it is just annoying.

Well just bought a E-MU 0404 24bit/192kHz Sound Card and some ultra-quiet Nexus fans to turn my cpu into a jukebox. I am going to wire it up to some DIY monitors through an Adcom 60wx2 amplifier, which brings up my question. Would you run an extra volume control in between the cpu and the amplifier. I am having a complex using the computer only control due to the fact that the amp is then "hot" the whole time amplifying anything that comes through the card, but I also don't really want to run the connections to have a volume control What would you do?

okay so im trying to find out what wattage this computer takes. my power supply went out in one of my computers and ive found power supplies but all have different wattages. can someone help me out.

soo not too long ago i bought some logitech speakers for my computer. well just yesterday i was listnin to some music and right speaker was really staticy. you can still hear the music but every note that the speaker its, you can hear static too. i was messing with it and it you just place a finger on the cone while its playing, the static is gone...what is the deal?

posted this on ca.com but i figured this would be a better place to post it since there's more knowledgable people over here guys what im looking for is a coax(rg6) cable connector that i can place on both sides of my window that sends the signal through the window so i can hook up my satellite dish w/out having to drill holes or run rg6 flatwire through my window. not sure what exactly they are called, its a similar device that is on cars that sends a cellular signal through the window. i have seen them before. any help would be appreciated.

Ok, so the old man just got connected to xbox live today . Played a couple of games, (burnout, forza, and guitar hero). How do I get world rankings. My ranking is just a - on the screen. Also, how and the hell can I play Guitar Hero online. I know these may sound like dumb questions, but you have to remember that it wasn't till college that computers got integrated into the classroom. HELP!! I'm trying to catch up with the youth. I was thinking about buying a projector for my Nintendo Wii for the weekends only so if anyone has any experience with projectors, come on in and fill me in with some info. Now, this projector will only be used for the Nintendo Wii so i was looking for cheaper priced projectors. The ones i'm looking at are 800x600 so res is compatible with the Wii. These projectors i'm looking at have 1500-2000 lumens and about 2000:1 contrast ratio. The cheaper priced ones are considered business projectors for some reason... Anyways, i wanted to project this projector on our garage door outside during the weekends and have Wii battles out back at night. So gots me a couple of questions.…
