Apologies for simplicity of problem,having d/loaded audio troubleshooters and still no joy,1st try on a forum such as this. I can both see and be seen on skype and messenger,i can hear them,yet they cannot hear me,have checked out all the basics? sound and audio devices,ac97 audio configuration,ticked all the right boxes? and yet still cannot be heard, I am on p/bell windows home edition media centre, any help for a comp illiterate out there,gratefully recieved.

I am trying to learn and since i have nothing to tell me whether i am understanding anything i "Assume" to be true or not, i need guidance, hehe. soo not too long ago i bought some logitech speakers for my computer. well just yesterday i was listnin to some music and right speaker was really staticy. you can still hear the music but every note that the speaker its, you can hear static too. i was messing with it and it you just place a finger on the cone while its playing, the static is gone...what is the deal?

So I finally got a dvd writable drive that is of this generation... Using Nero Vison Express 2 to try and burn down a few movies that I've DL'd. My concern is that it's slated to take 2+ hours to burn xxxx.divx down to a DVD disc. Nero is handling the format conversion, but 2 hours? I've been Googling, and I've found this converter... Would this be worth a shot? Otherwise, wtf am I missing? I used to be able to burn down a DVD in <15 minutes. Thanks

hey guys i am starting to get a lot of lag on my xbox and PlayStation that i have hooked up wireless not sure what the real problem is but would like some suggestions on what to try out . I currently am using the westall model 327w dsl modem with wireless ant. In a different part of the house to far to run wire i have a linksys gaming adapter Linksys by Cisco - WGA54G Support Hooked to the xbox via a cat 5 cabel and wireless to the ps3. I have been using this setup for about two years with no problems. The last couple of weeks i get major lag to where im not even able to join games on Modern Warfare 2 On the XBOX the playstation is not as bad but still lags quiet a bit.…

ok today i am going all thru our computer just looking for stuff i can delete to free up some space and i just ran into the e-mail accounts. my parents recently got a divorce and after that my mom got DSL. well our new e-mail with our dsl server works just fine, it is thru outlook express. well i found our old e-mail account but our new account is not there. i would just delete it but our new account is not there so i dont want to screw anything up. what can i do? if i wasnt very clear just ask me to explain better. thanks

Y! messenger is giving me a headache today... seems like any pm i receive signs me out. i have to receive 2 or 3 pms from the same person (and get signed out every time i receive one) untill i can talk to that person. not to mention i can't change my status and i go online and offline without doing anything... do you have any idea what could cause this ? What is everyones idea of the best gaming cpu/cpu in general? Im thinking about buying another/parting together another, and what would u guys do? I'd like to keep it up 2500, if i can under 2000, but 2500 is max.... I want this thing to be basically the top of the line cpu lol. What would you guys do?

So, my daughters PC needs to have RAID drivers installed for it to read a SATA drive.....and M$ in their infinite wisdom, has made it so you still need a floppy...booo..... So I decided to try to make a slipstreamed version of XP for my install. After hours of searching on the web for more information, I found a program that makes all the changes that a guy needs to get this done. nLite is what it is called. And, boy oh boy does it work. I am happy that I found a piece of freeware that actually works. So, if anyone else is interested in doing the same, may I suggest looking into this program.

i am pretty sure i know what i did, but have no idea how to fix it...i uninstalled Total Video Converter and when uninstalling, it asked if i wanted to uninstall some files and me not thinking just figured they were something worthless... well to make a short story shorter my DVD won't play anymore with any program i use any idea how to fix this? i already tried to reinstall total video converter and it still doesn't work!
