My PC won't play videos from the internet (YouTube, etc). I know it's not the videos because 1) it does it with every video I try to play and 2) I played the same video on a laptop that was here at the house and it played the exact same video my PC wouldn't. The videos load just fine. But when I go to watch them they only play for about 2 seconds then freeze. If I fast forward to a different spot in the video, it will resume playing for about 2 seconds then freeze again. I've cleared all of my cookies and everything since this has started happening with no change. Everything else seems to be working fine.....just won't play back any video. Any ideas ??

I found it ironic, as my ink warning just popped up a few days ago, then I found this. anyhow: I trust that You guys know that I would not spam You guys. So, I ask that: If You need $30 worth of printer ink asap, or are simply running low and should reorder soon, then I ask that You do it through the InkBlvd deal through my referral link (again: http://xbox360s.freepay.com/?r=22740106 ). Yep, i signed up for a free Xbox from one of the few Proven FreePayStuff programs. Figured, it can't hurt. I need 8 folks to go in by my referral. http://xbox360s.freepay.com/?r=22740106 Thanks gents!

I recently built myself a Q9300 (quad 2.5stock, OCed to quad 3.33 for daily use) with 4gb of RAM(OCed to 1114MHz) with a FSB of 1772MHz for daily. I built this pc mainly to be able to backup 1080p videos as i have done DVDs on this pc and has been phenomenal! 6-8 minutes on a 2pass encoding up to 3.5hrs worth of video complete. I also wanted to be able to do High Definition as well but i see that's more complicated. It took me approximately 3hrs 32min to 2pass encode a 2hr movie at 1080p. Everything will be around this if not higher in a couple yrs and that's when i want to build the next new monster... but what i am about to lay out IS A MONSTER. So, for those who alway…

New system. Basically just a fileserver. I'm running into a problem that has me beat. With no app's running windows will flash a BSoD then auto-reboot. Mind You, this is with no app's running, just the standard 30 something processes (ugh). No particular time interval or anything. There is plenty of airflow, not much heat anyhow. Everythings New: XP Sp2 Abit KV7 board (133mhz bus) 1.85g AMD Athlon XP 160 gigs of hdd 768mb ram pc2700 McAfee Firewall & VScan No extra drivers installed, but they are all updated (as of 2 nights ago). No glitches running Steam, Bitlord, IE, Belarc, and so on. No other programs really installed (other then Nero, ATI, whatever the ide har…

Sick of networking BS between my XP & Win 7 machines with some on a domain and some not, so I am going to bite the bullet and upgrade. My hardware (i7 quad) is fine to support it, plan on just adding another hdd so that I can switch boot drives if necessary. The computer will run: Internet - primarily Office suite - Word/Excel/Powerpoint Interface with my Canon video camera & DSLR with associated LIGHT editing Act as a home automation machine - currently 90% of what I have will run on either Absolutely no gaming atm Pretty simple tasks, but what I've read knocks the 64 bit for some availability and capability of running some programs. Curious if there are other l…

Hey all - I'm looking for a wireless card that's reasonably priced that has an external antenna connector - I've got a 60cm dish doing nothing that would make a perfect Wifi link to the campus network, if I built a patch feed for it. All the cards I've seen that do this and fit in laptops are over $100, anything cheaper out there? Thanks.

<-- Noob I haven't ever had a wireless connection before as my old house was completely wired, considering this I am not sure of the proper & logical way to secure my wireless network. Amusingly, I can use my neighbors both here and at my old house but considering the price of routers these days wanted to install my own for flexibilty. So, any recommendations or primers on doing this the right way? I figure I am not the only one here not in the know so I thought I start a thread. Any input would be appreciated!
