Hey any of you try to compare a FLAC lossless file with a real one? I am just starting to rip my music collection to my PC. My thoughts were to rip it twice. The first time in FLAC to backup to DVD and another in MP3 just to leave on the machine. If the lossless truly is such I would think someone would be coming out with a new HU that plays DVD format FLAC discs, but of course that would be logical. If FLAC sucks is there anything else that might do what I am looking to? The main reason I want to do the FLAC to DVD is in if they change it in the future I don't want to go through the reloading of all the CD's again as it is a serious PITA!

can you guys suggest some good programs to convert my wma music files to mp3's? im trying to load some songs into itunes and itunes only will import over my mp3 songs not the wma files..ive seen some programs that charge around $60 a year id rather use one for free since im only going to use it once..but im willing to use a fee based one if it really works well..

Anybody know what file type that extension is? Should be video because it is a TV show (or rather whole season) that I downloaded. What player do I need for it?

Anyone have any thoughts on any laptops, or companies making them. I've always had desktops in the past, and built them, so haven't dealt with any particular brand sucking. Budget is 700, but I'd rather spend closer to 600, may buy used. I don't need a big hard drive, 50gb will suffice. 2gb of ram should be good. Wireless card 802.11 intel based or atheros based is a must. cd and dvd reader, doesn't need to write. screen size, 15" is fine, don't need anything big. good battery life is a plus. In the mean time I'll be reading page after page of laptops on newegg.

If anybody wants the old music I have Zips 1-32 before he took those down. There's a lot of songs that he deleted from the new music. i am currently bored so i decided to do some stuff to my room. so i am just messing around and i decided i want accent lighting. i want to get some cathodes off oznium.com and somehow wire them up in my room to one switch if possible. i plan to hook up a rocker switch in my nightstand and wire all the cathodes up to that. i just need to know how i can power them. can i take a computer power supply and just lay that under my bed and run all the wires to that? thanks in advance for any replies

What's up fellas, recently my house was robbed and my Xbox, 42" Panasonic Plasma, modded controller, and a bunch of other stuff was taken. I could rant on here about how pissed I am, how I'd kill the person if I found them, blah, blah, blah, but I'm over it and it's time to pick a new TV. Started having some issues with my gpu recently... Randomly lock-ups, reboots, and BSODS.... tried everything under the sun software wise... Tried cleaning, adding more cooling, different slots to no avail... I'm wondering if someone has any idea why a website would just stop working for me? Here's what's happened. A little over a month ago I was on a website and for some reason the pages stopped loading. Hey I am looking to upgrade my laptop's harddrive. My laptop is around 5 years old... it is a Dell Inspiron E1505 and its running windows xp.. I want to replace the harddrive on it so it will run faster and so I can store a lot of music on it without any problems I am looking to spend around $50...
