Man the guys over in the VW forums would kill me for spending money on car audio before any performance upgrades, BUT I just got my 10' VW CC R-line and need to break in the engine 1st. HOWEVER this winter when my engine is broken in I am flashing the cars ecu w/a APR Stage 1 flash which will give me 250HP and 294TQ (stock is 200Hp, 207TQ). I will also give the CC a Carbonio Intake which should give me 10+ HP more I believe. Can't wait!

Well.. Since Im 20 now, going to be moving out on my own within the next couple years, going to have a job, ect. Im thinking about selling my 04 Impala, and get something a little more fuel efficient, and to be honest Im thinking about maybe a 94-98 civic. I never would have thought id be buying a civic, but they are fairly inexpensive, easy to work on, and very fuel efficient. Not really asking for people to persuade me either way but if you want to put in your 2 cents go ahead. . Just thought id tell you a potential idea.

After comming back from the bahmas i hadnt driven the thing in 11 days. So i hop in my truck put 'er in neutral, crank and wow i was amazed. When you listen to 'er crank up day after day you dont notice the sound as much as after 11 days. She started off with a nice 'Burrrrr!!!" and then settled down to a cool 800RPM deep pur of a 3.0l V6 lion. Sounds so good, As i took off down Price Creek (road in the middle of nowhere with no cops and lots of hills/sweeping twists) i ran through the first 4 gears untill the fule cut at 95 wit joy in every shift when it dropped from 4500 RPM down to 3-3500 rpm where it sounds the best (as it gets just above 4,000 the tone gets raspy…

i have a 2001 nissan maxima that will be getting a wall and will be getting a lot of weight added to it. I need to know where i can get some affordable rear shocks that will handle an additional 1200-1500 pounds. any help will be greatly apprecated. also we will be needing some for a 2001 ford taurus, 2002 grand am, 1998 sunfire, and a few others. finding one good place we can get all these custom built thru would be great as it is alot easier and more trust worthy for me to order from one place instead of multiple. websites or emails would be great Thanks

A friend owns a 2006 VW Jetta. It has the factory 6 disc changer head unit that raises/lowers the volume automatically. But, it's messed up. And does it whenever it feels like. It has become real annoying. Is it possible to disable that feature and if so, how?

  9. yesterday out of the blue my car door started popping while I open it, not as bad when i shut it. in front the body seam is right up against the door seam, so the door is sitting forward... pushed/bent toward the front of the car. The rear seam is now a big gap. I checked the hinges, they dont look bent or like they have any play. top hinge bottom hinge sorry this camera blows I tried lifting the end of the door, there is no play, and visually the black rubber/plastic bushings look OK... bolts tight....

Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me, but here are the pics my buddy took. Most are the hot antique cars and a few of the Porsche Panamera. We also saw the Blues Brothers (replica) police car in the parking lot.

  11. My brother's car (2002 Nissan Xterra 3.3L v6) all stock electrical seems to be having a couple issues regarding its electrical system. For starters, if left sitting for more than 2 days the car has very much trouble starting. It will crank very slowly 1 or 2 times then stop. Then of course starts immediately when cabled to another car. I put a DMM on the battery which rests at around 12.8, pretty normal. Then 14.2 when the car is turned on, also normal. After say 15 minutes...it seems as though the alternator stops giving 14.2 and goes down to 12.6 (under battery resting voltage). That I noticed was an immediate issue. Then I turned the car off and the dmm read 11.4. If t…

I have been thinking about how I will work on my 98 expedition, and now that I put my deck in i'm getting nervous about theft. I had planned on throwing in speakers, but recent life events really put a crunch on funds and time. I just got done with the bulk of the tragedy but I still have some time before I can come back fiscaly. Which is why I want security for my vehicle. I actualy have it parked in a security monitered area at work now and in a high high traffic place. No more work theft I think, and it's parked outside my bedroom window at home, but I'm still skeptical if I end up somewhere else. I currently have a system of when I remove my face plate I have a …

SSA family I need your help. My family is getting to big for my small car ( Acura cl ). I want to buy a used SUV but I know very little about them. I can only spend $6500.00 tops and it must be a 2000 or newer. I will need 4 doors and it must have a V6 or V8 engine. I will use it mostly on the weekend to take the kids around town. My two youngest kids are 12 and 14 years old and have long legs so no small SUV's like a Tracker. So I need a dependable, afforddable SUV for $6500.00 or less 2000 or newer. I hope this is clear and eazy to understand NO TIME FOR WISE ASS REPLY'S Thanks.

I noticed when testing outside of the car that there is a horrid metal vibration coming from the undercarriage. In case your sigs. are turned off I drive an '07 Scion Tc. My question is what should I do about it? Should I remove it or put some deadener on it like dynamat or fatmat (I refuse to use damplifier pro on outside of car (-: ) It's more then the usual body panel sound it's a high pitch rattle that I can't stand for others to hear. Shizzon, what did you do about this piece? Thanks in advance for replies / ideas.
