Well, My 2007 White Diamond Escalade was awesome and we loved it. Low miles (58k) and still have over a year left on its certified warranty. So I decided since we were in good shape with it it was a good time to upgrade into something else. My wife sorta wanted something smaller because we have had big SUV's for the last 6 years or so. I was looking to get maybe a IS250 -350 but secided I would call up Cadillac and see since I already had history with them what they had that might fit the bill. I went out there with a fully loaded new CTS on my mind but after driving several cars I decided this was the best option especially since we have 2 kids and have been spoiled by s…

The stately Mercedes CLS-Class quasi coupe is one of the German prestige marque's nicest looking vehicles, with a subtle style that seems to emanate style and exclusivity. But that doesn't mean that it can't be transformed into a ballsy, take-no-prisoners GTR replica, courtesy of one of Germany's growing tuning outfits, ART. Based in Nuremburg, ART's new GTR is built upon the CLS model, either the CLS 55 AMG or the CLS 63 AMG, both of which are vehicles that would be more than powerful and agile enough for most drivers. For example, in its original form, the 5.4-litre supercharged CLS 55 AMG generates 350kW of power (469hp) @ 6100rpm and 700Nm of torque @ 2650rpm, which …

Currently have a jeep but rarely go four wheeling anymore... My 2door jeep is small, and my substage takes up the whole rear area. So basically any car except a coupe would be an upgrade as far as room and cargo area. I don't really want a trunk car, main reason being it's harder to fit a enclosure in, and have to deal with getting bass into the cabin. My budget is $7000, possibly 8. Looking for 2000 and up. Current vehicles I've been looking at are: Scion xB and Scion tC, and Volvo v70. So basically something with a hatch, room in the rear to fit a nice big sub enclosure (pair of 15s or what not). anyone got any other cars I should look into? thanks EDIT: no honda civics…

My project for July...if it ever stops f'ing raining...is to repair the rust that's forming on the van's drip rail and at least put a coat of primer on it to prevent it from getting worse. I'm thinking I need to do the following - * Using masking tape/dropcloths, cover all the painted areas I don't want anything to get on. *Sand down the rusted/bubbled portions with heavy grit sandpaper * Spread some naval jelly on the rusted sections, on both sides of the rain gutter...sand this lightly off when dry down to bare metal. * Prime * Color coat Any tricks or things I'm forgetting? Like I said, I'm a finish/bodywork n00b...don't need this to look showroom quality, but rust on…

Just curious if anyone knows of a product that can keep air line\fittings from experiencing the surrounding ambient temperature? I'm going to try something soon and see how it does through the winter... One of my O-Rings doesn't like the cold weather so i gotta air it back up every 2-3 days. My install has no reserve so what's in the bag is the only air volume on the car. I get the privilege of knowing something is leaking way before anyone else would, hehe. Keeps me on top of things.

for some reason my check engine light came on today while driving to work. i think there is something in my system to blame as i just installed it a couple days ago. last time it came on the negative terminal came off the battery so i put it back on and the check engine light went off. now it is back on and i looked and the negative terminal is securely connected. the engine seems to be a little sluggish now as well. what could it be?

And I am extremely displeased at my topic being locked over something people wont even listen to me on and think I am a complete moron. Listen, Google, and then reply. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Warpe...G=Google+Search http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_warped_brakedisk.shtml you can hit "I'm Feeling Luckey" and get that. Warping and Uneven ware are two entirely different things. If I sand half of a 2x4 does that make it warped? no.

So, I'm about to order a lowering kit and found one, http://www.jegs.com/i/Ground+Force/476/9921/10002/-1# But, it's 2 door only, dumb question but, I've yet to find one for a 4 door. Would I be able to put it on my 4 door blazer even though it says 2 door? Speaking 2 door I'm guessing hass the exact suspension/frame etc as a 4 door?

I checked all the pressure in the tires of the 3 vehicles that are at my house Not a single one was at the right PSI. Some 20lbs over, some 10lbs under. Its crazy how much air you can loose in your tires in a matter of months. And if you just fill them up when they are low use a pressure gauge, eyeballing and using the built in gauge from the has station are not accurate. Go buy one, they arent that expensive I know it sounds lame but if kept neglected ( like what i did) you can really kill your mileage and get some nice uneven tire wear.

Hey guys, quick question, I was told by someone that when you get an alarm there are some small "horns" I guess that you can put in the inside of our car that make a hig pitch noise when your alarm goes off, and you can hide them. I gues they are like the size of a battery or something, I dont know. does anyone know anything about this or what they are called?

I have been having problems with my serpentine belt or alternator. It was slipping on startup, and when i accelerate my voltage drops to about 12. i tightened the belt and the squealing went away, but the voltage still drops to 12. it stays at 12 until i start crusing. I had a gu ytell me i needed the oem belt because 1996 isuzu rodes have a terrible belt design. My dilema is that im about to instal my system, but im not sure if it is just the belt, or is my alternator bad? Also if someone could tell me how to test my alternator that would be great. i have a dmm if it requires one. thanks!
