I have searched around a little, but I wanted to ask here in case anyone knows (Sean )of a better location other then a local junker. Someone pushed in the nose on the drivers side of Amanda's car, and it cracked the lower portion and drivers side fog lens, along with snapping the connectors into the fender well. Now the rubber scuff piece on the passenger side is scrapping the road from time to time. Since she drives this car everyday, I would rather fix this before I do brakes on the sled.

How much would you budget for a full swap, removing the sohc v6, and swapping the awd drive train and v8 from a mountaineer into a 2dr exploder, start to finish? I plan to pick up a second donor vehicle by summer, so I'll have plenty of parts, but I've never been involved with a swap before. I'm definitely paying someone for labor, and taking notes. I've seen a few done, but all anyone remarks on price is "lots" which is frustrating. I'm hoping this project costs less than $6k to complete, 7500 tops

well iv been saving up for a new turbo and injectors for my truck for quite some time now. finally got around to ordering my new turbo i have a custom 65mm mad turbo werks stage 2 powermax w/ billet wheel on its way. should be here tomorrow!! cant wait to get some pics up and videos for you guys!!

I finally did it! I got a AD244 in my '97 Grand Prix with this bracket - http://store.alternatorparts.com/a500-cs130d-ad230-ad237-to-ad244-cs144-conversion-bracket.aspx I researched for a while now, had to shave a little off the alt., but it bolted up and plugged it in and works great. im not sure where to post this, but it should work so im looking into buyin a new car (new to me) and i found an awesome deal on a 2002 Mercury Sable. i looked at the stock radio and it looks to have the climate controls embedded into the same panel. anybody have any experience with a sable?? do they make a mounting/install kit for an aftermarket head unit?

I have been trying to research this but the answers i get are from one extreme to another. I have been told not to talk to my insurance company about this so i do not know who to actually talk to, ask, etc to assume the information i get is accurate. So, hopefully someone on here and tell me or lead me to the answers. I am curious about disconnecting the Air Bag Compressor on the top passenger side of the car. IF this thing deploys, it will only cause more harm than good. I'll leave the driver side connected and steering wheel connected, just passenger side compressor i want off. Hey guys.. I have an 07 escalade with 32 inch rims on it. I want to put air bags on it. Does anybody know of a good kit to buy?

I have a 2005 Cadillac Escalade and a 15'' BL hooked up to a kicker 1500.1 and when I turn up the music my air bag warning light comes on it wont make my air bag go off will it?

anyone know how to let the air out of the air bags? Im finally workin on the navi tryin to get the rear axle and all off and i need to get the air out of the bags... I guess i'll try to get a couple of pics goin as well.. only thing i can think of though is taking the hoses off at the pump, but they are not comin off easy enough

thinkin about getting a 2001-2003 chevy tahoe 2wd. this will just be a weekend driver so gas is really not an issue. are there any websites that sale a complete kit that won't break the bank. i jus need sumthin real basic all 4 corners raised and all 4 corners slammed..no fbss or 3-wheel motion is needed. also if is anyone running bags on their whips about how much was it installed. and also if anyone knows a shop in their town that can ship out a kit for the low let me know.

Just curious if anyone knows of a product that can keep air line\fittings from experiencing the surrounding ambient temperature? I'm going to try something soon and see how it does through the winter... One of my O-Rings doesn't like the cold weather so i gotta air it back up every 2-3 days. My install has no reserve so what's in the bag is the only air volume on the car. I get the privilege of knowing something is leaking way before anyone else would, hehe. Keeps me on top of things.

i had a hornet security system installed in my car, baught and installed at circuit city... its been in almost a year now. last weekend my car sat for 2 days while i was visiting my gf. alarm was armed, no light were left on. battery was deadafter 2 days. i thought it was the cold so i took it to walmart, they tested everything and said it could be going bad or something is draining from the battery. my dad bought a new battery and all was fine. like i said i thought it was the cold weather giving it a hard time. so anyways last night i accidentally armed the alarm (not knowing if it was the draining the battery or if previous battery was just dying on its own) and my bat…

ok i have been trying to re install my alarm all this week.... with out directions! only two problems..... i cant see to find the lock and the unlock wire for the doors..... there are two relays, power going in... 3 switch wires that go into a harness... with a 3 pin plug as if it plugs into my alarm.. but there is no slot for it..... out of the releys there are two wires... that are the unlock and lock from relay to car... i have part figued out.... but i have no way to know what color the lock.... and the unlock wires are! i have looked high and low....... maybe one of you google folk can take a look for me excalibur alarm al 2000 edp thanks guys

Hey guys, quick question, I was told by someone that when you get an alarm there are some small "horns" I guess that you can put in the inside of our car that make a hig pitch noise when your alarm goes off, and you can hide them. I gues they are like the size of a battery or something, I dont know. does anyone know anything about this or what they are called?

After I get my system Im gonna need a BAD A$$ alarm cause GOD knows I dont have enough cash saved up to buy my system all over again. I would also like it if had auto-start. Any suggestion?

Hello i have a 1992 volvo 240 wagon upgraded my amp from a aq 2200d to a Cresendo bc 3500d. Ordered a 275ohio alt was working great for 2months then stopped working sent it back to ohio had the alt looked at by the technician said it was working fine. Installed it again and started doing this weird voltage thing with my batteries. Voltage of batteries is 12.8 with car off when i turn the car on the voltage stays at 12.8 does not increase inless i tap the gas and it jumps to 13.8volts Why am i recieving no voltage increase when the car is turned on, which makes me think im getting no idle amp output. I have been having problems with my serpentine belt or alternator. It was slipping on startup, and when i accelerate my voltage drops to about 12. i tightened the belt and the squealing went away, but the voltage still drops to 12. it stays at 12 until i start crusing. I had a gu ytell me i needed the oem belt because 1996 isuzu rodes have a terrible belt design. My dilema is that im about to instal my system, but im not sure if it is just the belt, or is my alternator bad? Also if someone could tell me how to test my alternator that would be great. i have a dmm if it requires one. thanks!

I need the connector that goes on my alternator that the wire harness plugs into for my 2008 scion xb. I see ebay sells Repair kits that come with these but no one on there sells kits for this vehicle. Also, i can't find this connector anywhere, lol.. Ebay sells them for the xA but that's it.. so after months of looking for someone who can build an alternator for me with out breaking the bank, i found a man that will work with me. my car comes stock with a 4G alternator. a very small case that leave me sad every time. the man said he can build me a 6G,. its a larger case, with the same bolt up, it has dual fans for cooling, and an under drive pully, and he will send me the pig tail swap to make it pair up with my car, he said its just 2 wires, cut the old ones off wire the new plug up and BAM 240 amps at 1200 RPM, with a 1 year warranty. for right at 200 bucks shipped. now while talking to this man on the phone for a half hour, he got to talking and was …

I've got a 95EX w a D16Z motor Manual trans(that seems to be locked--trans is SUPPOSE to be good but I have no real way of knowing--(just picked the car up havn't torn into it yet.) from what I know the D16z is one of the good motors.. 125hp... Vtec btw I've also got a 97 HX w a D16Y5 motor auto trans... which is a strong running/smooth shifting but the car is totaled. Bought a street scenes poly urethane roll pan for my truck. Just got it today. I'm planning on getting it painted tomorrow but when I unpacked it I noticed it seems scuffed. Any idea if this is going to show after the paint? It doesn't feel the same as the non scuffed parts, a bit more rough..
