  1. so i picked up another navigator, when i test drove it was missing and had some other issues... we agreed on a price, and a list of things to be fixed before i picked it up.... a tune up being on the list, so i assumed the mechanic fixed it because he called me to come get it.. so foolishly while the mechine finished up some small shit, i went and put the money down and signed the papers, as is of course, i go out to leave.. i start it up .. and its missing! so i jump out and tell home boy its missing. put the computer on it.... cylinder 7 not contributing , same as before, so i assumed it was the coil, ( a very common issue with the fords) so i ordere…

Anybody done this, pics and pointers would be great... I know it's not an easy task... the local shop said they wouldn't touch it. Saw the puddle of anti-freeze when I pulled the carpet What else can happen to delay this build....?

How much would it cost for a good tint job for this car (everything but the windshield): Also, what percentages would you go with? I'm figuring 10-15% on the rear/rear sides, something not too dark for nighttime vision. Would like to hear your personal preference though. Is this website accurate as far as laws go? If so, does that mean I can only do 70% on the front sides but up to 0% on the rear/rear sides? http://www.tintdude.com/laws.html Lastly, any tint places yall would recommend? Sorry about all the questions, I'm a total tint noob.

Well, I think it's time the Cobra went bye bye. I need some suggestions on what to get. I have to be able to fit my work tools and a stroller in there, and have plenty of room in a back seat for the baby seat without cramping frontseat passengers. I'm thinking along the lines of an extended cab or crew cab pickup, or a large car with a huge trunk. Budget is $10-12K, and no GM or Chrysler junk please. What's everyone else with the kiddies rollin?

Okay, as you all kind of maybe, but probably done know, I have a Mercedes 1991 190E 2.3 trim car. As its a mercedes the engine would kill to upgrade. So thats where the VIP syling comes in. What should I do? Images Gallery with PicTiger Yes, there is some problems with the car, like the replaced light casing, and the bumper. Other then then, pretty straight car (meaning no dents). And I know with VIP style that oversized rims, like DUBs are often put on. And I dont think ill keep the car long enough to justify the body kit. Although, suspension isnt a big problem. So Ill probably do that. Rims are EXPENSIVE!!, although I might do it, just because if I sell the ca…

Purpose: To purchase a vehicle 1-3 years old so I'm not the one who has to swallow the bulk of the depreciation; to purchase a vehicle that is comfortable for monthly (at minimum) 1200 km trips on the highway (through lots of snow in the winter). Narrowed it down to: Cadillac CTS w/ 3.6L Dodge Charger R/T w/ 5.7L Both rated similarly in terms of gas mileage and I would make use of the MDS on the Dodge. Love the comfort of the Cadillac but the interior is a little plain. The Charger makes me feel a little younger and the extra 100hp is attractive, albeit fuel consuming. Tough choice. Thoughts, opinions, experiences? Would love to hear what you guys have to say - especi…

i was on my way to meet my buddy for breakfast today, and stopped at a stoplight. I looked ahead and saw that they closed the right lane off (i was in the left). So this older 99-05 grand am pulls up next to me, and as the light turns green, the guy speeds off. no knowing that he wanted to pass me up and cut ahead of me, i had a normal start. when i see the guy speed ahead about 10 ft ahead of me, i floor it. this is like a good 1/8-1/4 mile strip of open road. I thought i was gonna catch up, but nope we stayed about the same distance away from each other. when i saw that i wasnt going anywhere i slowed down and he cut ahead. seeing that i have a 5.0 HO v8, vs the…

I saw someone already has a similar thread... I currently have about 250-300lbs of audio related items in the trunk and it sits almost an inch above the rear tire... Pic: Mechanic wasn't really too helpful, when he was doing a brake job he casually said it would be like $900 to fix the issue without really checking it... I was watching through the glass partition while they worked.... Any of you mechanics out there work on this car model? what would that typically cost??? I'm not currently using my system because there is a huge drop and difference in height... people always flash their high-beams at me cuz when I drive the lights are almost pointed in their face I …

No crank, no luck with push start, it's a 5sp stick, drove it earlier several times, half tank of gas, but now it's dead dead. Not even a jump helped, our clock won't even come on. Just got a job interview today, hired, and need to figure this out by Monday or it goes up in smoke Any ideas? Had it for three months.

  15. Here's the build log for the Camaro. I was a little hesitant at first because this is my first major mechanical project. I'm replacing all bushings in the front suspension with poly bushings, converting to power front disc brakes, switching to Hotchkis springs, and replacing all brake lines with stainless. I started on this last week, and I've gotten to the point where everything that needs to come off is off. Here are some pics of things so far. What I started with: Goodbye spindle/drum (I'd just like to say that the most useful tool in this whole thing is an air hammer with pickle fork attachment. Those ball joints were original and did not want to let go): No …

Even for stock I thought it moved rather well. 177 horses and the redline wil have 260, for only 3G more but have better gas milage, and functional special air induction (i foget the exact name). anyways can i get everyone's thoughts on these things??? I'm only posting because I don't really have the time to really research myself. But I was looking into DDM Tuning and noticed people complaining how bad their customer service is, and the overall length of time its taking to receive your order and it seems its taking longer and longer. So to me, this usually isn't a good sign, definitely if I have a problem. So I'm looking for another brand or company that compares to DDM as far as price and quality(if you could call it that). I am willing to spend ~$75ish for each kit, 50watt low beam 9007 and H10 fog. Also, I don't have to have slim ballast's but it would be nice.

so after months of looking for someone who can build an alternator for me with out breaking the bank, i found a man that will work with me. my car comes stock with a 4G alternator. a very small case that leave me sad every time. the man said he can build me a 6G,. its a larger case, with the same bolt up, it has dual fans for cooling, and an under drive pully, and he will send me the pig tail swap to make it pair up with my car, he said its just 2 wires, cut the old ones off wire the new plug up and BAM 240 amps at 1200 RPM, with a 1 year warranty. for right at 200 bucks shipped. now while talking to this man on the phone for a half hour, he got to talking and was …

I was looking for alarms for my truck and came across Shatter Guard Film. It claims to be able to stop any intruder and is shatter proof. I looked at their video and it looks pretty convincing but the question now is, is it worth it? What do you guys think all hype or could this really be an alternative to an alarm system. Since it's a film it can't be bypassed like an alarm system and can apparently increase the windows strength by up to 300%. The problem is it costs $399. Do you guys think this would be just as good as an alarm system? Also is their any other brand out their that anyone has heard of that is just as effective without the extreme price tag?

Hey everyone, I'd like to know if there is an alternative to changing the color of my headlight without HIDs. I'm not a fan of HIDs because they tend to hurt my eyes when I see people driving so I wouldn't want to do that to others. But what I do want is to not have the stock "yellowish" light and have a different color like blue, white, etc. What's a good alternative that isn't so expensive?

http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/01/pariss-...icially-reveal/ "Lamborghini has spent the last few weeks tantalizing us with teasers of its front-engine, four-door concept, but that comes to an early end today as a French website has unceremoniously revealed the concept we've been calling the Estoque. Though the images in our gallery are low-res, we can still make everything out. The Estoque features a long hood and short rear deck, with horizontal headlights up front and a pair of big Reventon-style air intakes in the front bumper. The fender vents behind the front wheels are tucked into the car's character line that flows back until it hits those wide rear haunches. Thank…
