Hey guys since I just got my truck future system planes have been popping in my head all week long. I drive a 1999 dodge ram 1500 ext. cab and currently have my FI BTL 15 fully loaded and it is being powered by a Crescendo audio 3KWP. My future plan is to cut my solid folding back seat in half approximately and build a wall in the cut out area. So it will be a 1/2 wall i guess haha (has anyone ever done this?). Any way my plan is to cut the back seat in half and wall off the open are and put in 4 FI SSD 12s. I want to have the subs facing forward and don't know whether to put the port facing forward also or firing the side to the open area so my question is which way shou…

Thought others might be able to use this too, but anyone have recommendations on where to buy snow tires? I have looked at the venerable Tire Rack, the local Discount Tire Direct, and Costco. Here is a summary of what they have available and at what price: Dunlop Graspic DS-2 (TR $122ea + $10 ship +$10 roadh +mount ~$155) Continental ContiWinterContact TS810 (TR $145 +$10s +$15rh+mount~$185) (DTD $180--inclu shi/rh + Mt ~$200) Michelin ArcticAlpin (TR $163 + $10s +$15rh + mount ~$ 203) (DTD $190 + mount ~$210) (Costco $173+tax ~$190--no rh added) The most convenient for me is DTD since they are local and do free balancing for the life of the car which simplifies life and…

Okay guys as you know I am prolly picking up some new wheels here very soon. I am thinking between 7500 and 11,000 down. I don't want a vehicle over say 24,000 sticker price. Wouldn't mind going used, I just want something rleiable and fun to drive. As of right now its between a brand new dodge Nitro and a used '07 Ford Explorer. I really want to stay in the SUV market cause the Formula I was looking at is just a tad more rust than I want, and for me its either big or fast. Lemme hear some opinions at to what to test drive/buy. J

Well, yesterday i noticed the interior lights were doing funny tricks on the good ol' range rover. It's a '93 classic so it uses Lucas electric. OH BOY! So it usually starts and runs just fine, but the battery was drained, so I decide to charge it today. Go to start it, turns over a bunch, acts like its gonna start, but doesn't. So idk whats going on. The engine is going to come out anyways, its just the other electrical that is worrying me. The fuses are fine, just everything is behaving very strangely

After I get the credit card bill for all my audio equipment payed off, I think I'm going to get a loan on a small Japanese car. Budget will be around 10k, I'd like to get something '02 or newer with less than 70k miles. I really like this Accord, it seems like a pretty good deal, and I like the 2-doors. My friend has a newer (I think its an '05) Maxima and I like it pretty good too. I'd like to get a manual transmission, but they seem to be fairly rare. I've always wanted a WRX, but I'm thinking that would be out of my price range. I guess Toyotas are out due to the whole unintended acceleration mess. I've always heard good things about Toyotas, but have lost a lot of f…

Unless this is old news, ooops but is still nice to know- This is specifically for Californians and if it gets very popular it will go completely national then international. A Hybrid... that will be put on the market as planned by the end of this year... with an expected certified MPG rating(this is an all electric so they must be comparing gas to hours of power maybe?) of 330 MPG! As of right now, they are trying to get there... there last known spec was at 230 MPG which is ungodly incredible. Price tag - under $30K Go ahead and real full article and all pages throughout about the Aptera. You will see that they also take great pride in safety features as well so don't…

I need the connector that goes on my alternator that the wire harness plugs into for my 2008 scion xb. I see ebay sells Repair kits that come with these but no one on there sells kits for this vehicle. Also, i can't find this connector anywhere, lol.. Ebay sells them for the xA but that's it.. I am wanting to fabricate my own VCM Wire harness without splicing into anything to make it look more professional. I will be doing the following- Purchase a VCM harness for a GM. The female plug on my car would need to go to a male scion xb connector(which is what i'm looking for) to a GM Female connector(that i need to get), then plugs into the VCM, then out of the VCM(G…

What do you look at and order from? Not brand specific, but ... I imagine most everyone here has a copy of Summit and Jegs sitting around somewhere. Few of you guys are even lucky enough to look at say ... BMW, Corvette, or Mustang specific

Hey guys I was wondering if there was anyone in NC that can do a good tint job because I've tried three times now and each time I try something always goes wrong from bubbles popping up over night to window streaks under the tint. I figured that by the time I get it to where I want it I will probably have spent just as much as I would have at a tint shop so I'm done with diy tinting and am just looking for someone in the NC area that could do it and if not I guess I'll have to go to a shop and pay $200+
