  1. I wanted to see what we think are some of the greatest motors of recent history. Keep in mind, just because it was a big motor with big horse power, does not mean its a great motor. Things you need to take into account are longevitity of usage, horse power/litre, durability, amount of different models powered, quality of design, ground breaking technologies, efficency, and performance of course. So post up a motor or two you think should be included in the upcomming poll for people to vote on the Greatest Motor in the last 25 years, and what about it makes it a good canidate. (and dont just say toyota 4 cyclinder or chevy small block give more detail than that) -------…

  3. post from CLZZ (TRP Vendor Section) http://www.classifiedzz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=366 I got my order in for my two cars. Thought i'd share the love and offer this to everyone on behalf of TripleRperformance. We are having a good sale on some HID kits. I am wanting to do a mass order of at least 10 as the price for shipping will be much lower. Well the price for each kit will be $65, and shipping will be around $25 so $90 if we can get 10 orders placed. I can do single orders at $65 and $45 for shipping, so $110 for a single order. Kits can be ordered in H1/H3/H4/H6/H7/H8/H9/H10/H11/H13/9004/9005/9006/9007/880/881/D2/D1 and color levels of 3000K, 4300K, 6000K, 800…

Does anybody have any good detailing tips, or products, to get professional results? I detail high end show cars, as well as daily drivers, and I'm always looking for that next best thing to come along. Right now I'm currently using the Greot's Garage, best of show, and boss system, to leave my customers cars with that wet concourse finish. I also use their black shine tire and trim spray to leave all the plastic, and rubber parts, shining better then new. Believe it or not, but you can actually improve a brand new car inside and out with the proper techniques, and products.

Have any of you seen or heard of the Hydrogen on demand stuff, to improve fuel economy? Is it real, or a gimmick? Seems dope, but of course it does to someone like me getting 13mpg. Any solid scientific evidence for these kits?

  10. How much would you budget for a full swap, removing the sohc v6, and swapping the awd drive train and v8 from a mountaineer into a 2dr exploder, start to finish? I plan to pick up a second donor vehicle by summer, so I'll have plenty of parts, but I've never been involved with a swap before. I'm definitely paying someone for labor, and taking notes. I've seen a few done, but all anyone remarks on price is "lots" which is frustrating. I'm hoping this project costs less than $6k to complete, 7500 tops

Do any of you guys in the Fort Wayne area know of any decent transmission shops around here that do payment plans? I'm in the middle of finding a new apartment so the smaller a hit I can take at once, the better. Normally id just wait til I had the trans handled to move, but my roommates steal and pawn my shit.

  12. So, as this is only my second car, and I haven't managed to roll this one yet, I've had enough time to start needing to maintain my truck lol. I'm about to order new rear shocks tomorrow since my rear left is the lowest point on the car, like two or three inches below the front left and rear right, and want to know if any of you guys here who are significantly more mechanically inclined than myself, can you recommend me any better than these for the price? http://m.autoanything.com/suspension-systems/61A2642A0A0.aspx

No crank, no luck with push start, it's a 5sp stick, drove it earlier several times, half tank of gas, but now it's dead dead. Not even a jump helped, our clock won't even come on. Just got a job interview today, hired, and need to figure this out by Monday or it goes up in smoke Any ideas? Had it for three months.

I want to lower my fusion but not sure if it'll work with the system's weight. I don't know anything about suspensions but if the weight of my system is already lowering the rear of my car will a lowering kit lower it even more and cause rubbing or bottoming out? Here's the lowering springs by steeda. http://www.steedafusion.com/parts/steeda-ford-fusion-lowering-springs-555-8306/

My Jeep has had a bit of what I think is lifter tick, audible between 2 and 3k rpm. No lifter tick on startup though. I plan on changing the oil (it's a diesel engine) and I've been thinking about what to add to the oil before changing it to help clear up the ticking noise. I've read that adding diesel fuel or ATF to the oil, running the car for a few minutes, then changing the oil helps. It's an old pushrod design and taking the heads off to remove the lifters would only make me get head studs, which I don't want to do right now. What are your thoughts on this? Seth ?

Sooo... my hid lights failed because of a cheap relay that came with the set. Put some basic bulbs in and one side doesn't work. I try the fuse, get power at the fuse. I check the socket, get power at the Socket. I move the non working bulb to the other side, it's work. I try replacing socket connector thinking maybe bad corroded tips not making great connection to bulb.. same result... Wth is going on??? Any help would be great...!

Well, it seems it's always something when it comes to my exotic builds.. Now, all 3 companies who manufactured shocks for the newer Gen Scion xB have all been pulled and discontinued without reason! Talking with a performance retailer, Tokico has went as as far as discontinuing all shocks for all scion vehicles as of 2014 without reason. I don't know what's going on but something is up.. So, I need a source, sources that I can contact about custom shocks. I need it as a backup. I do not know if the current stock shocks are equipped to handle the new coil springs and won't know for some time until installed. I do not know stock spring rate but current spring …

  24. I need the connector that goes on my alternator that the wire harness plugs into for my 2008 scion xb. I see ebay sells Repair kits that come with these but no one on there sells kits for this vehicle. Also, i can't find this connector anywhere, lol.. Ebay sells them for the xA but that's it.. I am wanting to fabricate my own VCM Wire harness without splicing into anything to make it look more professional. I will be doing the following- Purchase a VCM harness for a GM. The female plug on my car would need to go to a male scion xb connector(which is what i'm looking for) to a GM Female connector(that i need to get), then plugs into the VCM, then out of the VCM(G…

  25. I have been trying to research this but the answers i get are from one extreme to another. I have been told not to talk to my insurance company about this so i do not know who to actually talk to, ask, etc to assume the information i get is accurate. So, hopefully someone on here and tell me or lead me to the answers. I am curious about disconnecting the Air Bag Compressor on the top passenger side of the car. IF this thing deploys, it will only cause more harm than good. I'll leave the driver side connected and steering wheel connected, just passenger side compressor i want off. I get answers from insurance wont cover me if i get in a wreck. It's legal to disco…
